I recall this being being asked in the previous version, but I think buried in the comments. Quick search for me didn't come up with anything, but it seems like an answer came from Robert Scheitlin, GISP or Larry Stout or someone that else that was working hard on the first wave of custom widgets. If I recall, it seemed like a reasonably logical explanation, and in any case was a non-issue, usage-wise anyway.

I would say that is a Chrome issue, not an Esri issue. But you may want to make sure you have the latest Chrome, if you really are trying to track down why. It may also be that there are options in Chrome that block a clean download. Hard to say. Glad that the IE worked. As mentioned, latest FireFox also works fine.

Do you have access to another browser? Or is chrome your only option? Can you test on another machine...maybe outside of a work network?

That is something that will vary wildly from person to person. I don't think any programming is a matter of "practicing", but instead it's a matter of learning the syntax/patterns and understanding how to apply it. If you understand one programming language, or at least a workflow that you would like to automate, then it's a matter if translating to the programming language you need to use, making sure (syntax) spacing is correct, brackets are balanced, etc., and following all the other rules for the language. How long or how often you need to use Python to become proficient with it will depend on how you learn. Are you wanting to sit down with a blank sheet of paper, with a problem, and no other resources (that is, no Python books, no help system or online forums, etc) and want to write a perfect program from scratch? If so, then you'll want to memorize the language. But most programmers do not work that way. Most have books and/or better yet, the Internet for resources....and one of the best ways to learn any language is to read thru code that others have written and see if you understand. Also, most if not all of us at some time or another have grabbed others' code and modified to our needs. Even the ArcGIS help pages have code to start with. So how and to what level you learn is a personal goal, not a one size fits all. With that said, there are many discussion (on Geonet and other forums) about Python books and how to learn, For ArcGIS you will want to study arcpy, not just straight Python. LLook thru some of these posts: Introduction to Writing Geoprocessing Scripts with Python 10.2 Class Resources Any Good Python Books Using Python List Comprehensions Python Map Automation – Introduction to arcpy.mapping Or do your own search. Also, following Python is also a goid start. Have fun.....that's always the best part...

Larry, thanks for creating a list for your various widgets. I'm not familiar with the lumia and the Windows Phone 8.1 operating system, but the system requirements for ArcPad are: for or windows mobile. ArcPad Help MOBILE And for windows ArcPad Help Windows My initial guess would be no, since the CPU is not on the list of supported software. Processor CPU name: Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ S4 Number of cores: Dual core Clock rate: 1500 MHz But sometimes it's worth testing anyway, if that is you only option. Make sure you have a good backup before you do though. By the way, we typically use windows laptop/tablets, but have also used it on Trimble Yuma 2, and other GPS devices with the windows os.

I'm definitely not an expert on credit usage for AGOL services, but if you are hosting a geometry service from your local ArcGIS Server, you shouldn't use credits. You mentioned you are hosting it on AGOL, so I'm assuming that is your only option?

Hi Sri, I don't think they have posted code for King County iMap but it sounds like they have used the various custom widgets and built in widgets available for download (in the Resource List document above). From there, it would be a matter of customizing for your own services and needs. Michael Jenkins provided the link to their beta site and may be able to provide more details.

Tom, Hopefully someone on the ArcGIS Pro and AGOL are tracking this discussion with your suggestion about the warning message. As an administrator of the licenses, I'm sure I'll start getting questions if/when others get the expiration message. As mentioned earlier, we'(the first "Pro" wave) are all hitting the first year of "renewals" so I'm sure there will be some other questions popping up. But very glad to hear that it did just "roll over" smoothly to the new Desktop annual maintenance date. Make sure to mark you response that all is fine as the "correct answer" so others can find it. (might also be good to add a tag for ArcGIS Online or AGOL so people can find it that way too.)

It's interesting that the "manage licenses" portion of AGOL doesn't have an expiration date. On the "My Organization" page for our agency, it list that our expiration is 7/31/15, when actually that is just a handful of licenses, the bulk will expire on April 30. When I look at the Manage Licenses page for Pro, there is no date, even if I look at an individual. I know there have been other discussions on Pro expiring if/when Desktop maintenance is not renewed ArcGIS Pro License : Subscription license - will expire when maintenance stops Just in case you haven't been following it. And fwiw ArcGIS Pro : Licensing through ArcGIS Online : Is this the future license model? Personally, I hope licensing doesn't go this direction.....managing users and licenses will be a nightmare (if you don't have unlimited). My opinion.

Tom, Ha.....one can only hope they just roll over smoothly. Since it is all controlled by AGOL, vs the more tested (though not perfect) license manager, it's anyone's guess. For us, it may even be more interesting since we have two different license periods (i.e. two different expiration dates, in theory) but only the one AGOL account. Since I'm in the July group, in theory, I shouldn't get the error at the end of the month.....but I'm not sure how AGOL/Pro will assign the seats, assuming the level is available in both renewal periods.......we're all charting new territory this year (i.e. one year in....) edit: for got to add....make sure to let us know (although I guess that did go without saying. )

Have you tried making sure you are logged out (everywhere) of both AGOL and from ArcGIS Pro? (and for good measure, Geonet if you share a common login). Probably wouldn't hurt to make sure Web appBuilder is shut down....and of course a good-ol reboot. Then re-log in thru Pro again. I'm wondering if it holds on to old creditials if you just recently re-upped maintenance. We will have the same issue on about a month, so interested in the outcome.
