Why can't you have duplicate labels in a domain in ArcGIS online? I understand why you can't have duplicate codes but the label is just text. It shouldn't matter what the label is since the label isn't what is actually stored in the database. I was able to create a domain in ArcGIS Pro with duplicate labels and publish to AGO. It seems that if this is an issue in AGO why would I be allowed to publish the layer with a domain that has duplicate labels? Now I know someone may be wondering why I would want two codes with different values to have the same label. I'll do my best to explain. Below is list that I use in Survey123: name label ComponentType 203 Process Trap Rock Base ABR 212 HMA S0.5 L2 <= 300 SY-inch ABR 247 Process Trap Rock Base CBR 256 HMA S0.5 L2 <= 300 SY-inch CBR 276 8 in. Reinforced CBR Installation <= 300 SY CBR 302 HMA S0.375 L2 <= 300 SY-inch SWK 304 5 in. Concrete Sidewalk SWK This is actually what I use in Survey123 but the first two columns are the actual domain in my bid item table in my hosted feature layer. In Survey123 the list is filtered based on the type of component the user has selected. If the user selects ABR they only see rows 203 and 212 and then additional processing occurs like looking up the bid item cost from a CSV file that depends on this selection. This was originally designed four years ago and has been used successfully since. However, a new contract was recently awarded and there are now additional bid items and different costs. Many of the bid items remained the same. My plan was to assign a new numeric ID and just append these values to my existing bid item domain. It was going to be a big list but my end users wouldn't see it that way as I could filter it all in survey123 based on the component type and, now, a contract number. That's when I discovered that I couldn't have duplicate labels in the domain. Is there a way to create a new domain and replace an existing domain with the new one? Any suggestions or hep would be greatly appreciated!

I have an additional 136 codes/values that I need to append to a domain on an existing hosted feature service in ArcGIS Online. Is there a way to do this that doesn't involve copying and pasting values or directly editing the REST endpoint? A little background...this domain allows my end user to select bid items out in the field. These bid items are tied to a contract and a new contract just started so I have a new list of bid items to add to this domain. I know adding 136 additional choices to an existing domain may seem excessive and ultimately not that useful to the end user. However, this domain has several groupings within the domain and I am using Survey123 to filter this domain to a more manageable one with far fewer choices that the end user sees. Additionally, I have the appearance of this field in Survey123 set to autocomplete so the user can type and further limit what values display. Thanks!

I don't think I was ever going to figure out the correct syntax for the query parameter. I didn't see any of that in the help. Maybe it's there and I just missed it. Thank you for the help! It worked like a charm!

What did end up using for the query parameter in constructing your URL? I am attempting to do the same thing and can't get the query parameter correct. I can't figure out how the query parameter in line 5 needs to be constructed to get the inbox to open to the specific record. Thanks! var urlsource ='arcgis-survey123://?';
var params = {
itemID:'d27d6fc327754039b87a62eae3042092',
action:'edit',
q:'globalid='+$feature.GlobalID,
folder:'inbox',
update:'true'
};
return urlsource + UrlEncode(params);

This is a hosted feature service that I published from ArcGIS Pro. It does do this with two other layers within this same feature service. The same things happen whether I connect to a map or directly to the layer.

I have a hosted feature layer that is composed of 11 layers. I am trying to display some of these layers in a list element. When I select an individual layer in the configuration panel, I get "No data" in the preview and the data table displays nothing. However, I know there is data and the message below the table shows that there are 99 features. Other layers within this layer work as expected. Any ideas why this happening? Am I missing something simple? Thanks.

I know that watermarking of an image in Suvery123 takes place as soon as the photo is taken. If a photo is taken with the native camera app and loaded into Survey123, watermarking doesn't take place on that image. This makes sense as the photo has already been taken. But I am curious if it is possible to watermark an image loaded into a Survey123 form? Thanks!

Same issue here. Setting the Editable setting on the layer itself is not an option as some fields need to be editable at other stages of our workflow. Here is my configured pop-up: When someone goes to edit this same point every single field in the feature layer is available for editing. I didn't include all fields but this demonstrates the issue. This is not a good thing. I'd like to see my pop-up as configured above but only the fields that can be editable will be editable.

I am experiencing a similar issue. The polygon label appears to be locked on to the centroid. The only way for someone to see the polygon label is if they zoom in on the polygon centroid. If the centroid is outside of their current map view, they will not see it.

Thanks for the reply @ZacharySutherby The problem was resolved. It had to do with certain sites being blocked by our firewall. Those where whitelisted and the problem went away.

@Anonymous User Should be all set. The map with Smart Form should have the smart form, created by converting the pop-up and the No Smart Form does not. Let me know again if there are problems because I found I needed to refresh my browser in order to see things configured correctly.

@Anonymous User...I am also experiencing the same issue where having a smart form disables the submit button. In my case all of my data resides in AGO. I have created a group and invited the user arcgisfieldmaps.

I am encountering an error on some of my surveys when I open them in Connect (3.11.123 on Windows 10). When I open a survey and click update, I get the following error message: A couple of other surveys don't encounter this that area similar in nature in that they both use a hosted feature service as submission url. If I try to create a brand new survey whether from a template, one of the existing surveys, a feature service or file, it hangs on creating the survey and I have to force Connect to close. When I reopen the Connect, the Survey I tried to create is there and Connect presents this: I click yes and then get the original error message mentioned above. What is going on? Thanks!

Thanks for the reply. I am not sure if I described what I am trying to do correctly? I want to go from Survey123 and open a record in Collector. I want to get the globalid value of the feature being edited via the inbox in Survey123 so I can construct a URL, in a note, that will open Collector in update mode, for that same inbox feature so my end user only has to take a picture in Collector and submit. The Collector help for initiating an update indicates I need the parameter featureID, which would be the globalid of my inbox feature, but I don't see how I can get the globalid value inside of Survey123 and it doesn't appear that I can pass another unique ID field to Collector.

My user needs to be able to take a picture of the mark outs he made to a repair location. This repair location location is the parent layer in a one to many relationship and is captured by a different individual at an earlier date. However, because my user is editing existing data via the inbox, they cannot add a second picture to the repair location feature. I thought I could create a hyperlink in my form that would launch Collector to allow the inspector to take a photo and attach it to the repair location feature service. I can launch Collector using the URL parameters and open the correct map with no issues but the inspector has to select the point and go into edit mode before taking the picture (not that big a deal). I would really like to be able to launch Collector and have the map open in edit mode for the repair location so all the user has to do is take the picture and save. In order to do this, I need to provide the featureID parameter which is the global id value of the feature. I successfully hard-coded the hyperlink with a known globalid value and it works but what I really need is to get the globalid value of the inbox feature being edited. Is it possible to return the global id value of a feature in Survey123? Thanks.
