I am encountering an error on some of my surveys when I open them in Connect (3.11.123 on Windows 10). When I open a survey and click update, I get the following error message: A couple of other surveys don't encounter this that area similar in nature in that they both use a hosted feature service as submission url. If I try to create a brand new survey whether from a template, one of the existing surveys, a feature service or file, it hangs on creating the survey and I have to force Connect to close. When I reopen the Connect, the Survey I tried to create is there and Connect presents this: I click yes and then get the original error message mentioned above. What is going on? Thanks!

Thanks for the reply. I am not sure if I described what I am trying to do correctly? I want to go from Survey123 and open a record in Collector. I want to get the globalid value of the feature being edited via the inbox in Survey123 so I can construct a URL, in a note, that will open Collector in update mode, for that same inbox feature so my end user only has to take a picture in Collector and submit. The Collector help for initiating an update indicates I need the parameter featureID, which would be the globalid of my inbox feature, but I don't see how I can get the globalid value inside of Survey123 and it doesn't appear that I can pass another unique ID field to Collector.

My user needs to be able to take a picture of the mark outs he made to a repair location. This repair location location is the parent layer in a one to many relationship and is captured by a different individual at an earlier date. However, because my user is editing existing data via the inbox, they cannot add a second picture to the repair location feature. I thought I could create a hyperlink in my form that would launch Collector to allow the inspector to take a photo and attach it to the repair location feature service. I can launch Collector using the URL parameters and open the correct map with no issues but the inspector has to select the point and go into edit mode before taking the picture (not that big a deal). I would really like to be able to launch Collector and have the map open in edit mode for the repair location so all the user has to do is take the picture and save. In order to do this, I need to provide the featureID parameter which is the global id value of the feature. I successfully hard-coded the hyperlink with a known globalid value and it works but what I really need is to get the globalid value of the inbox feature being edited. Is it possible to return the global id value of a feature in Survey123? Thanks.

Hi Ismael, That makes sense and appears to be the issue! I did not consider that my end users would take a picture prior to filling out the survey since the picture is the last item on the form. I have added logic to the relevant field for my photo group so that the picture option doesn't appear until they have filled out the cut cause and dimensions. Thanks for the quick response! Jim

I have a survey that adds user captured information to a picture of a field repair. The upper left corner has work order, address, cut cause and cut date. The upper right has the various components of the repair and dimensions of those components. Most of the time this is the result I get and expect: Occasionally, not all of the fields get written to the photo. Sometimes I get this: or this: I am not getting any reports from my users that anything weird is going on that might explain this. All of the data they collect in the survey that is used to create the watermark is being written to the hosted feature service. I can't see any reason why this would occur and I can't look over their shoulder to see if it is something they are doing as I am working from home. Does anyone have any thoughts that could point me in the right direction as to what is causing this? Thanks.

I have a hosted feature service that has two point layers in a one to many relationship. In Pro (2.5), I need to add a new related feature but I do not see that option. I can add a new related record to a table but I don't see an option to do so for a point feature class. Am I missing something? Thanks.

The ampersand (&) before the image parameter did the trick bottomLeftWatermark=&image=mdclogo.jpg&imageSize=150 In my case, if I included a space, just the text appeared where the image should be. Definitely a disconnect between the help documentation and what works, at least in my case. Here is how the online help says to configure the image parameters. No ampersand before the image parameter. watermark=image=example.png&imageSize=50 Thanks for your help!

I've tried with quotes and without quotes and only get the text and not the actual image. I have confirmed that the images are in the survey's media folder.

I am trying to add my company logo as a watermark to an image. As I understand it, the syntax is watermark="image=mdclogo.jpg" When I do this, all that appears on my image is the text after "watermark=" and not the actual logo: This occurs in two different surveys. It also happened in a survey I created using the samples. I tried both PNG and JPG with the same results. Am I missing something or doing something wrong? Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. Is this something that could be submitted as an enhancement? I have a workflow with a one to many relationship. The parent record stores the location of a repair (attributes of work order, address, town,etc.). The child records store paving components, like a road, sidewalk or driveway, at the repair site. Each of the components go through a series job statuses. For example, they get marked out by our inspectors, a contractor schedules work and then marks it done and then we inspect the work and later on, certify it complete. The child records at a repair location may each have a different job status and require multiple visits by our inspectors. Our inspectors are assigned work depending on the job status. For example, one inspector will handle mark outs while another handles inspections or certifications. Currently, all repair locations show in the inbox regardless of the paving component job status. The inspector selects a record from the inbox and then has to see what components are available, if any, in the related repeat. I can filter the repeat based on job status but the inspector still has to go through the inbox, select a repair location and then see if there are any components. We have hundreds of repair locations each year and they all show in the inbox. What I would like to be able to do is to only show those repair locations in the inbox that have child records that match a certain job status so that my inspectors only see these repair locations in the inbox. What they see there will only be what they need to inspect. They won't have to look them up on a separate map or tap a repair location to see that there are no paving components for that particular repair location. Is this something that could be done?

I would like to be able to limit the number of points that my inbox displays based on an attribute in a related table. Is it possible to create an inbox query expression that queries related records?

I am experiencing an issue that i can't seem to figure out. I have created a survey using the theme-grid style. On this survey is a geopoint and further down the form is another geopoint in a repeat. Here is how the first geopoint displays in my survey: There is a lot of empty space so I set the height of the question to height=20 in the body::esri:style column. This is the result: I can't see the map. I get a gray box that appears to be the height that I set. If I click on the map and the click a new location, the map appears in my survey. Further down in my survey, I have another geopoint in a repeat. The geopoint location is set based on the location in the first geopoint question. In the XLSForm, the geopoint question is configured exactly the same but displays the map: Why does the first geopoint question not display correctly with a height set but the second does? Thanks.

I am encountering a similar issue. I receive the error when I am trying to use the Excel to Table geoprocessing tool. It doesn't happen when I run Table to Excel. I am running windows 7 and ArcGIS Pro 2.4.2. I installed the Microsoft Database Engine 2016, using the quiet mode, and the problem persists. If I keep the same session running, I sometimes continue to get the error message whether I am running the tool or not.

That was the issue. Thanks for the help. In hindsight, my question should have pointed me in that direction.
