Collector Apps (and also other Survey123 tools) are kinda unique. They are not really developing a full app/software but they still have Specs that are needed. Working in a traditional software environment we have very detailed Software Requirement Spec documents which are pretty cumbersome (though serve a purpose when developing actual software). I was wondering if anyone had something they would be willing to share that might be more geared toward Mobile Apps or even ESRI tools?

Did you try exporting directly from the Survey123 website? They have an option from there to export as well, not sure if you'll get the same issue.

ok thanks, never really noticed time data before having that difference via collector. Yeah, I know I can do now but for my case it would just be the nearest :15 so they would still need to edit it.

So I am playing with the various field types, I was looking at timedate and wondered what format it uses. If you ask a user to enter in a timedate it is simply a blank box and I cant seem to find what format should be entered?

Also when you do enter in the time, the actual time recorded is different which I assume is related to time zones? I have a survey which I entered a start time of 7:30:00 but when I goto my submitted data online it shows 3:30:00?

Is it possible to change to time field format? Currently it is HH:MM:SS, if a user enters in just HH:MM the can not submit. Most times I don't see seconds as needed so is it possible to allow just HH:MM?

I use collector as well for those type of situations, using related tables can work based on the form types but you do end up with a lot of related tables and it an be a pain to pull out the data as needed. Related forms in Survey123 will be nice but really I am looking forward to being able to submit a survey and then be able to reopen submitted surveys for just the purpose you stated. I read somewhere this was in the plans but I don't think near term.

Its a holiday weekend! No working. Will do, actually your point is correct too but I mean even if you have a signature in the box and its required then it will not allow you to submit.

I was advised this was either a memory issue on the device or they user did have poor wireless which could have contributed. Survey123 tested themselves with no issues.

I was wondering what the image size limit is when you choose to include an image? I had 3 different photos for choice options and they all displayed in Survey Connect but once published they did not on my Ipad. Though I had a capital letter off or something but then I notice those 2 images were over 2MB. I resized and they were fine but what is the limit?

Ok so I am guessing this is just a restriction of the use but if you set up a signature image and make it required Survey123 does not recognize if a signature is done so you cant send your survey. Is this just a limitation or am I doing something wrong?

ok, the setup sounds fine. bi-direction/one way I assume you mean the messaging when you create the relate? I always leave it to none and never have an issue. Take a look at the feature service in AGOL and does it have the options to add, edit, update marked?

I was wondering if there are plans/thought on allowing users to add other layers to the webmap that is displayed on the device when collecting locations. I know you can change basemaps which is nice (though it would be nice to have them available offline) but if you have predefined zones or routes it would be nice to display those services as a layer in the map for reference.
