Managing facilities and college and university campuses can be a complex undertaking, requiring a multitude of tools to streamline operations, analyze data, and make informed decisions. ArcGIS Solutions offers a comprehensive collection of industry-specific configurations designed to align with your organization's needs, transform how you use ArcGIS, and maximize your investment in location-based data and technology. These solutions leverage your authoritative data to improve operations, provide new insights, and enhance services. ArcGIS Solutions is especially valuable for teams that manage university campuses as they offer specific solutions to unique challenges such as tree management, underground utility mapping, and the delivery of GIS services across campus. By filtering the "Facilities" category on the ArcGIS Solutions homepage, you can browse a variety of ready-to-use maps and workflows that are specific to meeting the needs of university campuses. Below are specific ArcGIS Solutions commonly used for university campuses and facilities. These solutions are meant to empower facilities management teams to collect data, manage infrastructure, and respond to emergencies more efficiently, creating smarter and safer environments for students, staff, and visitors. Vegetation Management – Campus Trees The Tree Management solution is one of the leading solutions downloaded by education institutions. Tree Management can be used to create an inventory of publicly owned trees, streamline inspection and maintenance activities, understand conditions, cultivate a volunteer workforce, and inform the public. The Tree Management solution delivers a set of capabilities that help you inventory publicly owned trees, conduct routine inspection and maintenance assignments, understand tree conditions, engage volunteers, and inform the public. Collecting Information and Data on Campus Effective decision-making begins with accurate data collection, and ArcGIS Solutions provides tools to simplify this process using these solutions. GIS Request Management The GIS Request Management solution delivers a set of capabilities that help you solicit requests for service, manage the delivery of GIS services, and promote the value of GIS to internal stakeholders. Citizen Problem Reporter Collection information/data Citizen Problem Reporter can be used to solicit non-emergency requests (for example, blight, graffiti, trash, potholes, clogged drains, and flooding) from the general public. The Citizen Problem Reporter solution delivers a set of capabilities that help you solicit requests from the public, manage the response to each request, solicit feedback from the public after addressing a request, and monitor the resolution of service requests and non-emergency reports in a community. Maintaining Campus Roads Campus infrastructure, including roadways and signage, plays a vital role in daily operations. Here are specific solutions that provide tools for inventorying and maintaining campus roads, ensuring they remain safe and navigable. Roadway Management Roadway Management can be used to inventory public roads and their characteristics, conduct routine pavement condition assessments, and streamline inspection and maintenance activities. The Roadway Management solution delivers a set of capabilities that help you inventory public roads and their characteristics, conduct routine pavement condition assessments, and streamline inspection and maintenance activities. Road Closures Road Closures can be used to maintain an inventory of road closures and communicate closures and detours to travelers. The Road Closures solution delivers a set of capabilities that help you inventory road closures and related detours, communicate closures and detours with the public, and share authoritative closure information with consumer mapping applications. Sign Management Sign Management can be used to collect roadway signs and poles, streamline inspection and maintenance activities, and understand asset conditions. The Sign Management solution delivers a set of capabilities that help state and local governments collect roadway signs and poles, conduct routine inspection and maintenance assignments, and understand asset conditions. Responding to Emergencies When emergencies strike, quick assessment and response are critical. Here are solutions to enable facilities teams to evaluate damage after an event, prioritize repairs, and restore operations quickly and effectively. Damage Assessment Damage Assessment can be used to conduct initial damage assessments after a natural disaster or catastrophic incident. The Damage Assessment solution delivers a set of capabilities that help you collect damage reports, assign initial damage assessments, monitor the impact of a disaster on the community, brief internal stakeholders, and share information with the public. The ArcGIS Solutions website offers a wealth of resources for university facilities teams. I encourage you to filter by topics such as "Facilities" or “Public Safety” so you can find the tools and workflows that best suit your campus needs. If you are in need of an ArcGIS solution for your campus not mentioned above, comment below and our team will connect with you.

Hi @acoppernoll_swwrpc - great question! If you're interested in pursuing the YPN Events Ambassador route, one of the requirements is to "Host your own YPN presentation (in-person or online) OR speak at a YPN event." Many will pursue the former. An example of 'hosting' your own event/presentation is perhaps having a slide about Esri YPN speaking to the benefits while giving a presentation. Many did this on GIS Day or during a GIS club meeting. You can get creative with how you 'host' your presentation/event.
