Hi @XanderBakker and @DataOfficer Thanks for the $datastore recommendation it works perfectly! Thought I'd leave a pic and some sample code for those that follow. I know it always helps me. The sample gets intersecting zip code values from a zip code layer (polygon) and calculates a Zip Code field for a law enforcement beats layer (polygon). If there is more than one intersecting zip code it will calculate the zip codes additional values with a coma separator. var intersectZIP = Intersects(FeatureSetByName($datastore,"Zip_Codes"),$Feature)
var zip = "";
for (var f in intersectZIP) {
if (zip == "") {
zip =(f.ZIPCODE);
} else {
zip += ", "+(f.ZIPCODE);
}
}
return zip;

FYI, It works in a similar fashion for the District Look-Up Widget. https://tlcgis.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=01088164329943b383bce2b73cc959bb&find=1608%20Golf%20Terrace%20Dr%20Tallahassee%20Florida,%2032301

Caleb, If you turn off the standard Search widget and set Near Me to open as default when the application opens, Near Me will accept the incoming URL parameter. &find={Your Value}. Of course, you'll have to set up your feature layer as a search source in Near Me. Hope this helps Ned

The Swipe Widget in the new storymap works great but the first thing my users want to know is how to search for an address so they can compare the swipe layers in a location of their choosing. The story map below displays a collection of swipe sections comparing historical imagery to recent imagery. I really need an address search for each of these sections. A simple ESRI world locator search will do, but if I'd prefer an address or feature search that I can customize if I want to (like WAB). Historical Imagery Collection Storymap

The current webmap version allows me to add a map image layer then create custom popups and arcade expressions then save them back to the map image layer's Json. It is important for users adding my authoritative map image layer to get the popup that I've created. The Map Viewer Bata has no such capability that I am aware of. Since the details page for a registered map image layer does not have a Visualization tab that allows me to build and save popups and expressions, this ability is very important part of the current webmap that should not be lost when the Beta version goes live. If there is a work around that I am unaware of, please let me know.
It would also be great to be able to save popups, expressions and symbology from Map Viewer Beta to a registered feature layer.

Hi Robert, Love the eSearch Widget! I'm trying to download the 2.17 version. The current attached link downloads as version 2.13 (manifest.json) with a help htm for 2.12 (eSearch_Help.htm). I just want to make sure i'm using the correct version. Maybe I'm missing something? Can you point me to a link for 2.17? Thanks again for the awesome widgets!!! Ned Cake, TLCGIS

Hi James, Unfortunately, that is the case. In my AGOL org I register both map services (aka map image layers) and feature layers from our AGS sites. There are advantages and disadvantages to both. Map services are fast and look great with anti-aliasing and labeling etc but they lack the web side functionality you can take advantage of with a feature layer. With feature layers you have access to queries, filters, symbology changes, and geometry functions like the arcade functions introduced in this blog. On the bright side, if you are using WAB, you can use the Layer List widget to actually hide the layers that are being referenced by your overlay/intersect calls in arcade. Heck they don't even have to be turned on/displayed in the map for arcade to use them. Sorry for the disappointing news. Ned

Hi Naomi, For this type of expression to work, the X/Y coordinates for both point features would have to be identical. If they are not identical, from a geometry perspective they don't really intersect (even if their map symbols appear to be stacked ). You'll need to determine your margin of error distance between the overlay point and the intersect points and use a buffer of that distance on the overlay feature to make the intersect work. There are some samples above using buffers. Hope that helps Ned

Glad to help! Incidentally, that script will also allow for parcels that have more than one zoning district. Thanks to folks like Xander and Kyle.... my Arcade Kung Fu is getting stronger.
