Hello, Philip: Thank you for your help. I tried to find how to update the form submit button and I could not do it at all. I have version 3.3.5 on connect , republished the form and went to the survey web site to see if I am able to update it. I do not know where the correct documentation exists on exactly what to do.

I have a form created using survey123 connect but the data entry (survey data) happens mostly in on the web-app (instead of the field-app) for ease of use as we normally use in-office surveys. Is there anyway to customize the submit button? Did I read that Version 3.3+ Connect / Survey Web-App allows for custom URL and redirects during Survey123 submit events? Or is that only for Web-Form designs? I want to change the submit message at least to include a custom message or if possible to redirect to a resultant page showing followup map, etc. Thank you!

Thank you Doug for the input. It works for us if one is logged in as admin user, but will not work at all as an individual user with Admin Privileges. I am not sure what the underlying difference is but I thought maybe domain controllers are also an issue as the logins are based on them. But allowing a web-browser to open an executabel seems to me a very sensitive procedure and allowing such a process even on a mobile device let alone a desktop is not very wise. But I is there no other way to go about this problem? Any workaround?

That could be the issue. I don't have admin privileges on the machine I am working and I was pleasantly surprised that Survey123 Connect and field app don't require admin privilege to install. So it is that Chrome has no way of finding anything except a google search is done using the arcgis-survey123:// command.

Not clear if you want one for a subplot or one per overall survey? You may have to resort to Python or other programming tool after the data is stored if you would like to get one per sub-plot. If per survey, you can make a variable for each flower type and compute a variable if it was selected at least once its count would be greater than zero (set the default value to 0). See below a use case for summing repeats from https://docs.opendatakit.org/form-repeats/#referencing-answers-in-repeats . Also you can use the selected function for each item to find if present in the list of selected item. Some functions such as indexed-repeats are unfortunately not implemented in Survey123.

I am having difficulty launching the Survey123 App from ArcGIS Online Web Map popup. I am following the driections provided in https://doc.arcgis.com/en/survey123/reference/integratewithotherapps.htm . I am using Google Chrome browser to access the map. The Url the Popup is set as arcgis-survey123://?itemID={formid} (it opens up in the web app https://survey123.arcgis.com/share/{formId} without any problems) but nothing happens instead Chrome just opens a tab with that URL and gets stuck. Does this mean that Chrome does not know that I have installed Survey123 Field App already or am I missing something else? The final thrust of opening the field app is to include a key field name and variable so as to open a record for review in Survey123 field app. Is that a possibility?

We like the ability to create interactive and informative forms quickly using XLSForms and would like the ability to suppress the Submit Button on a survey123 form. We just want to show some relevant information to an existing Survey, but don't want to clutter that survey form and may need to pass a piece of information from the survey via a URL or something like that but it is not necessary that it should do that. The ability to have an informational form without the submission URL link would be very useful to us. we don't want to clutter the survey or make it more complicated to the average user. But those who need special information we wanted to add a link to another form where the relevant details can be queried. We would like to have the ability to create informational forms that draw-out data from any dataset just like a survey123 form, but without having to submit results and only receive information from the form.

I made an informational form and wanted to disable the or at least make invisible the Submit button. Anyway I can do that without resorting to creating the form outside Survey123?

Thank you for the tip. I only saw that I was posting on GeoNet. Sure enough it was on Survey123. I can't seem to find ArcGIS Desktop though. I have changed it to ArcGIS Pro.

Now you see them and then you zoom in a bit and you don't! Using a geodatabase of shapes on ArcGIS 10.6, I can see the picture shown first with the nice roadway geometries drawn in exotic styles and then I zoom in a bit some of the shapes disappear from view! Any ideas why? I have read through the other posts concerning such happenings and I can't figure out why it is happening. I exported the data to a shape file and it shows in all zoom levels. I repaired geometries and cleaned it, and did the best I could to change the style or the categories used simple line types, etc... Nothing would allow the geometries to show except at the lowest zoom level. The geometries are alright, I run the check geometry and repair geometry and nothing seems to be able to make these shapes show at any zoom level except an all out zoom of the entire layer extent. I also checked if zoom level visibility was turned on and it was not! I am using ArcGIS 10.6. You seem then here and then they disappear

It would have helped me a lot to have indexed-repeat right now. I am not sure what the rational is to not allow the capture of repeat data either inside or outside the repeat. At a minimum it should be available outside the repeat. Is there any workaround this limitation, such as compiling the form using pyxform or something else and using it with only on the webform and not the app? The puzzling aspect of the dilemma of the missing indexed-repeat function is that one can see that the data is available as JSON within the form and yet can't seem to be able to extract it out!

Thank you Philip for the pointer. I don't see a submission URL since the Connect created the Feature Service . It is blank, which means the URL when it was created is being used and no idea where exactly the variable is hidden. I see several files in the survey directory and it may even be embedded in the XLS document as a hidden data. maybe someone from ESRI will point me to the right place to perform an unorthodox but useful feature of changing the feature service in the XLS document once existing data is imported into the survey app.

At present there is a way to copy the submitted data from the outbox into a new survey through the survey123 for ArcGIS app. But would it also make sense to bring the survey with its related locations when importing existing surveys into the inbox? I was expecting that geopoints within a repeat would be reimported ( it is blanked out) when refreshing the inbox of a survey123 for ArcGIS app. The documentation seems to suggest that repeats will be returned after version 2.4 and one need only setup allowUpdates=true to the bind:esri:parameters column in the survey form. The used is survey version is 3.1.126. Is there a way to selectively import existing data into the webapp version ? It is efficient for us to bring back the original repeat geolocations so that date and time changes can be done quickly for using the same geographic locations. Can we have a similar functionality in the webapp as well. Thank you,
