Is it possible to control which field are editable when a from is accessed from the inbox. I a base survey with a repeat I would like my users to only be able to enter data within a new repeat which I have set through the bind::esri:parameters field. I wasn't sure if this used to control edits outside of the repeat as well.

I feel like in a past post I saw some syntax for using an input mask for an email address field, If I wasn't dreaming this and one exists please share the syntax. Thanks! Brent

Unfortunately I don't think you can do a calculate on a select_one question in the current version of S123, I think it will be possible in the upcoming version. For future reference the statement would look something like this: if(selected(${Asset}. 'Residential Meter'), 'meter box', if(selected(${Asset}, 'Backflow Preventer'), 'vault', '')) Another option here would be to use a cascading select, this won't select the option base on the previous question, but will allow you to limit the choice for the enclosure filed based on the asset field response.

Thanks James! I couldn't figure out the exact feature in the early adopter program to handle this, what feature should I be looking for? In this current case there aren't a whole lot of values in the select multiple question, so I could just link a bunch of if(selected$(select_multipleField), 'valueName', 'valueLabel ', '') + ... statements together. I am hoping down the road to find a more eloquent approach esp for longer select multiple lists.

I have a select multiple question that has an option called "Not Listed" that if selected exposes a text question to enter the not listed value. I would like to combine the responses from the select multiple field (minus "Not Listed") and the text field in to a new field. I have the calculation set to combine the two fields, however I would like to clean things up a bit and remove the "Not Listed" response from the string, is there a way to select everything but from a text string? I have tried the not() statement but just get the response "true" in my calculation. Thanks!

In my forms I can only get the date field to display in the current format Day of week, Month DD YYYY (e.g. Friday, February 16, 2018), unfortunately there is not enough screen real estate to accommodate a string this long on most smartphones. is it possible to have a date in a short format (mm/dd/yyyy) such as in a date/time question? Ismael Chivite's blog https://community.esri.com/groups/survey123/blog/2016/04/17/dates-and-time-in-survey123-for-arcgis shows a date displayed as Month DD, YYYY. How would one get this date format? Thanks!

Thanks James, I was hoping I could do it with using the count() function and a relevant but it S123 doesn't like the circular dependency. Maybe in the future the repeat_count field could be set not only for the repeat itself but also for questions within a repeat...just a thought.

Is it possible to hide a question in a repeat if it was answered previously in a repeat? e.g. Question: Is this the primary damage causing agent? () Yes if "Yes' selected I would like the question not to appear in subsequent repeats. I wasn't sure if this could be accomplished with a relevant clause or if a repeat_count will work for a single question within a repeat. Thanks, Brent

So...I thought I had discovered an new way to help my users by using html formatting to color code my list for select one questions: list_name name label host PoplarSp <font color='#6c09ac'><b>Poplar Sp</b><font> host BigToothAspen <font color='#6c09ac'>Big Tooth Aspen<font> host QuakingAspen <font color='#6c09ac'>Quaking Aspen<font> host Cottonwood <font color='#6c09ac'>Cottonwood<font> host OakSp <font color='#24a507'><b>Oak Sp</b><font> host BlackOak <font color='#24a507'>Black Oak<font> The results look great in the list, helping to visually break choices into groups. Unfortunately once a selection is made the choice is displayed with the html formatting. I know I am probably pushing the limits of the intent of using html formatting in Survey123 but was wondering if there is any solution to having the formatting text show up in the selection?

I am using a custom URL to open Collector from Survey123 and pass a GUID from S123 to Collector, I was wondering if there is way to programmatically close and upload the Survey123 form when the link to Collector is clicked? Thanks, Brent

Thanks Tiffany and Mike, I have been working off both the links you sent. Unfortunately neither really explains if there is a way to dynamically write an attribute collected in S123 to Collector. The URL going from S123 to Collector is slightly different than the converse. The GitHub page does show how to write a static value from S123 to the attribute table in collector, which I have been testing so far without success so far. If I get it to work I think I can put something together using concat() to build the link to dynamically pull a value (a GUID) collected in S123 and populate it in the Collector feature, with the ultimate goal of having a relationship class built between the S123 feature and the Collector feature using the GUID. If I am ultimately successful I will share how I did it.
