Hey Taupo District Council - Cool idea, we will pop this into the Backlog for the future versions of LM! Thanks for the feedback, we might come back to you with some further UX questions around this closer to the time we can look at it. If you know others agree with this idea, then remember to get them to vote on it here - helps us prioritize the ideas when it comes to crunch time!

Hi Shanon, So currently, LocalMaps Analytics allow you to track widget use down to the map level but not to the user or group level. The user tracking is something we could do for a future version, we have this in our backlog as others have mentioned it too. The Group level widget tracking we would need to investigate more as one map may be a part of multiple groups so we would need to see how to capture and visualize the different widget use for each one. Cheers, Lauren

Happy Friday everyone! ….And what a happy Friday it is! LocalMaps 2.3 is out now! So hopefully most folk read what's coming in Julian's sneak preview blog LocalMaps 2.3 & Beyond - so really this post is just to let you all know you can now get your hands on the latest version and crack into those new features. So to recap and remind folks of what's new.... NEW Conditional Reporting Admins can now combine a series reports into one “Conditional Report”. When the user runs this, depending on what layers their property intersects with only the applicable reports will be pulled into the output. e.g. Hazards Reporting: If a Property intersects with a flood layer, include a detailed report with text/map/image elements about the risk. If a parcel does not intersect, do not include the element but include other reports. Reporting Enhancements Generate reports as a Word document Generate reports based on a buffered area Include Inline maps Include XY’s New rich text editor for text elements New table element editor to provide more flexibility of table appearance New conditional text element New report button to generate reports within viewer pop-ups Draw / Measure Enhancements: Users can now export drawings as GPX and KMZ Search Enhancements: Users can tick on or off what searches to use from the drop-down. They can also preview a search result by hovering over the suggested result to zoom to the location before. These can be disabled by administrators if needed. Feature Queries: You can now build feature queries off a hosted feature tables. Want to get onto Version 2.3? Contact your Eagle Account Manager for more information. If you have any comments, questions or suggestions, please feel free to leave a comment below, or please [email protected]. Ngā manaakitanga, The LocalMaps Team

LocalMap’s 2.2 is out! This release brings in some great new features and enhancements including all new RAMM Integrations capabilities. We have also taken the time to address some pesky bugs lurking around! Have a read below for some of our Top new features in 2.2. See Confluence for Full 2.2 Release Notes RAMM Integration Perhaps one of the most anticipated features of 2.2 is the powerful new RAMM Integration module. This capability offers administrators the ability to create RAMM hosted feature layers that sit in your ArcGIS Online or Portal for ArcGIS Organisation. By simply inputting an existing RAMM Service URL you have the option to then define specific attributes to pull through and change alias fields to make a more readable output for users. You can then synchronize your layer to bring in any adds, deletes or updates on a scheduled basis. Although the RAMM Layer is created through LocalMaps, its usage can go well beyond just the LocalMaps application. Accessible to the entire ArcGIS Platform, the RAMM layer then be consumed in any web map, in ArcGIS Pro or in web applications like this Operations Dashboard of RAMM forward works data and projects. For more info on RAMM see here Note: RAMM Integration is a paid for LocalMaps Premium Module. Please inquire with your account manager for pricing or email [email protected] for more information. Viewer We have brought in some great enhancements to the LocalMaps Viewer and widgets such as… NEW Print Preview Window: Know exactly what you are getting when you generate a print now with the Print preview window. Note: this feature requires a Print Layout URL set in the admin configuration. Draw / Measure Enhancements: Continuous draw mode & Buffer drawing We love to hear your feedback on the LocalMaps tools! We had a number of folk request these two enhancements to the Draw / Measure tool. Enjoy a new uninterrupted drawing experience if you need to use the same tool in succession. The continuous drawing mode saves you having to actively turn on the draw tool each time you need to add a new graphic! Optionally, you can now also add a set buffer distance to your graphics. We have also really focused on addressing some niggly usability bugs in this version too – we hope you like the results! Widgets updated to latest Esri version Layer List Administration RAMM Integration was obviously a large feature added to the Administration tools in 2.2 but there are plenty more enhancements to look out for! Maps & Apps Each map can have a specific group set for the Add Data widget. Enable a disclaimer (splash screen) per map. When assigned Feature queries, you can now reorder how they appear in the popup panel. Feature queries can be added to multiple layers. Feature Queries Build hyperlinks to add to your feature queries. Build your own Direct SQL queries in Feature queries. Reports When adding a Map to a report, you can now set this to use a fixed scale. Reporting now supports vector basemaps. Searches Search against multiple fields in a layer or database. Define number of suggestions returned from a search. Configure the popup that is returned when a search is complete. This can be either pulling in the popup that has been set in the webmap or by building a custom popup (BETA feature). Order searches alphabetically. Settings Ability to define the Item types filtered into the gallery – make anything from Operations Dashboards to Insights pages to PDF documents accessible to users of your Gallery. See release notes for more new features & resolved issues in the Administration Tools. As always, let us know what you think about Version 2.2 and what we could bring into future releases. Add your suggestions and ideas up here on Geonet or get in touch with the LocalMaps Team – Lauren McArtney ([email protected]) and Grant Carroll ([email protected]). Get Version 2.2 now! To install or upgrade to Version 2.2 email your Eagle Account Manager.

The day has come team - LocalMaps 2.1 is here! Chock full of some great new features, even more administration capabilities and lots of helpful UI enhancements, this release is one you won’t want to miss! Check out below for some key updates (This blog builds on a pre-release update from Grant). Just a note that this is not full list - just our favourite picks for you. Check out the full release notes in our NEW Documentation System! Read more on the new guides below. GALLERY Restricted Content For Organisations wanting to use LocalMaps as a central destination for all content, that is, accessing both general content as well as secure content – you can now do just that. With Version 2.1, members of your organisation can log in and see the maps shared with the organisation but also content that is applicable to just them. Link to a Category Want to send a link to the LocalMaps Gallery but focused on one category of Maps? You now can by appending ?c=CATEGORYNAME to the gallery URL. VIEWER We have brought in some great enhancements to existing widgets in Version 2.1 as well as introducing a couple of new widgets to look out for! NEW Popup Panel For those of you that have taken full advantage of LocalMaps Feature Queries we know that sometimes there is a lot to squeeze into one popup - which is why in 2.1 you now have the option to use the popup side panel. Now all your great feature queries are easy to view and scroll through and if you have any attached images, these can be viewed directly in the panel (rather than opening a new window). NEW Mailing List The Mailing widget (otherwise known as the out-of-the-box Public Notification widget) is a new feature in LocalMaps that allows users to identify a collection of properties and create mailing labels, or a structured text file of owners and occupants. This type of workflow might be useful for planning and zoning departments, but it can be used by any organization looking to notify property owners or occupants of a formal action being taken. Draw / Measure You spoke, and we listened! Thanks to some great feedback on Geonet we have resigned the Draw / Measure tool to provide a much more intuitive user experience. In Version 2.1 you now have a simple step through process with collapsible sections for Measure details, Appearance and Drawings. You can now also export any drawing as GeoJSON. Elevation Profile The 2.1 Elevation Profile widget has been enhanced so you can now choose to either draw a line or select a line to use to generate a profile. Save You can now log into LocalMaps from within the Viewer itself. Log in using your ArcGIS Named User, or (if enabled) Facebook or Google credentials. From here, you can Save maps with a different map extent, layers visible or graphics drawn. This can then be kept private or shared with another person. Workflow 5 Integration Organisations using the Geocortex Workflow 5 by Latitude Geographics now have the option to run those same Workflows from within the LocalMaps Viewer. Geocortex Workflow 5 is a solution offering that provides an easy way to automate business processes. See release notes for more new features & resolved issues in the Viewer. ADMINISTRATION The LocalMaps administration tools have had some great enhancements brought in as well as a few new pages! NEW IoT Layers Previously called Hilltop, this section allows you to pull in a display live data from a variety of Sensor API's for monitoring environmental data. IoT layers can include sites or collections from a Sensor Observation Service and/or Hilltop and can be set to periodically return the latest measurements. When you first create an IoT layer, LocalMaps adds it as a new item directly into your ArcGIS or Portal contents. You can then view and query in your webmaps and web applications – like this dashboard containing an IoT layer on Flow data across NZ. Updates and Enhancements: Datasources ArcGIS Services: In Version 2,1 we now support indexing of secure services from ArcGIS , ArcGIS Enterprise or a standalone ArcGIS server. These can then be used throughout the rest of LocalMaps Administration configuration in searches, reports, feature queries etc. Database Datasources: You can now connect directly to your SQL Server, MySQL, PostGres and Oracle Database tables or stored procedures. These can be used in the same method as above throughout the configuration of LocalMaps. NEW IoT Sources: This section (previously called Hilltop) lets you connect directly to a variety of Sensor API's for monitoring environmental data. Within Version 2.1 we support both Sensor Observation Services (SOS) that can return WaterML2 and also services from Hilltop Server. Gallery UI changes to combine about text and styles into one page. New HTML Editor for the About Text section. Maps & Apps Set a map to be a Feature Map from the LocalMaps Administration page now (instead of going into ArcGIS or Portal for ArcGIS and adding a tag). Widget icons have been converted to fonts to allow administrators to set the colour of widget icons. For Organisations on ArcGIS 10.6.1 who are looking to use ArcGIS Enterprise Sites but still want to have the functionality contained in the LocalMaps Viewers, you can create a group to use in the Gallery card when building an Enterprise Site. Settings Ability to set the default Map sort for the Gallery Enable the Popup Side Panel – this is universal across your LocalMaps Viewers. Set text for Splash screen widget. See release notes for more new features & resolved issues in the Administration Tools. DOCUMENTATION NEW Administration and User Guides As we bring even more functionality into LocalMaps, we recognize that there is quite a lot of take in – and a PDF document just won’t cut it anymore. So, we have created brand new Administration and User Guides for easier access to LocalMaps Documentation. User Guide To make things easier for your users this guide outlines each widget with step by step instructions on how to use it. Even better, each widget help page is accessible just by clicking on the help icon in the widget header. Check it out here. Administration Guide Packed with step by step instructions, tips and examples this guide is a go to for all things configuration related! Check it out here. Get Version 2.1 now! To install or upgrade to Version 2.1 email your Eagle Account Manager. As always, let us know what you think about Version 2.1 and what we could bring into future releases. Add your suggestions and ideas up here on Geonet or get in touch with the LocalMaps Team – Lauren McArtney ([email protected]) and Grant Carroll ([email protected]). Thanks! The LocalMaps Team

Hi Shanon, What Version of LocalMaps are you using at the moment? In version 2.0 we have the ability to define the legend items included in the print. By default, all layers in the map are selected but as you can see in the screenshot below, I can choose only to display certain ones. The Print for this then looks like: Does that help?

Hi there, You can export a selection as a CSV, Feature Collection or as GeoJSON. To do this you can make your selection using the select tool, click on the ellipsis on the right hand side and then you are presented with various feature actions. Here you will see the export options available. Is that what you were after?

In LocalMaps Version 2.0 we introduced the ability to generate reports using feature actions in the report layer popups Now, having this functionality in the LocalMaps Viewer is pretty cool (I mean who doesn’t love a good feature action) but did you know you can also leverage this reporting capability in other custom Web Applications, configurable templates or even Storymaps. Here's how - 1. First create your LocalMaps Report as per usual. 2. Open the webmap in ArcGIS Online or Portal that contains your Report Layer. 3. Click on the Report layer ellipsis> Configure popup > configure a custom attribute display 4. Add a new link to your custom popup. Enter the URL to the LocalMaps Report using the following syntax -<Server>/<Gallery>/Report/< Report name>/{OBJECTID} e.g. https://s3-aws.demos.eaglegis.co.nz/LocalMapsGallery/Report/Land%20Use%20Report/{OBJECTID} 5. Set your link and save the popup configuration. 6. Click on the popup to test the report runs. 7. Save the webmap. Now you should be good to go generating reports in your own Web Applications! Want to see a demo? Check out this simple Reporting Web App Keep any eye out on Geonet for more LocalMaps tips & tricks coming soon! Cheers, The LocalMaps Team February 2018
