@TimoT  -  Upon reviewing the server logs, I do not see any errors indicating that instances are failing to start or crashing. At present, I have 40 ArcSOCs running. Here is a brief description of the situation: restarting the server now takes approximately 20 minutes, whereas it previously took about 10 minutes. This delay seems to have occurred after upgrading to Enterprise 11.4. Let me walk you through the process as it unfolds: I initiate the restart, and the machine begins the process. For the first three minutes, everything appears normal. In the Task Manager, I can see six instances of java.exe running, along with javaw.exe for the server. After this initial phase, however, the server stalls. Even the system time on the bottom right remains frozen. Around 10 minutes later, I see the javaw.exe for the datastore start running. Three minutes after that, the javaw.exe for the portal begins to run. Once this process completes, I attempt to open a map application. After some delay (approximately 5 minutes), the map services begin to load. However, I then receive an error message stating that some of the feature services could not be loaded. At this point, I restart the ArcGIS Server from the Services panel, and everything begins working as expected. In total, this process takes around 20 minutes. Hey George, The C:\Temp folder is quiet now. It is not collecting any dust/intercept_log files any more. I can't thank you enough. That was incredible help. @ColinLawrence  On my Apple phone I just changed the default browser from Safari to Edge, and it allowed me to sign in to Field Maps. Earlier, I had the person clear cookies and made sure pop-ups were allowed on his Android phone, yet it did not allow him to sign in with Edge on Field Maps. Thank you for your continued interest. @ColinLawrence  Thank you. We use Portal for ArcGIS Authentication (default authentication). The phone is Samsung Galaxy S23 FE. The default browser he was using was Microsoft Edge. Once, I had him change the default browser to Chrome, he was able to get in. Does this tell you why Microsoft Edge was not allowing authentication? Thank you again, Abi ... View more

Hey @ColinLawrence  I got some answers for you. He thinks, it started when he got his new phone back in June. It basically sounds like it may be a hardware problem. However, we do not know that yet because he seems to be meeting all the android specs for Field Maps and is still having problems signing using not just with his credentials but with any other credentials. Please ask any other questions. Hey @ColinLawrence, Thank you for your patience and for your interest in helping resolve this issue. This has been ongoing for about a month, but I am not entirely sure of the exact details just yet. I will confirm everything and update you once I have more information. The issue appears to be with a particular user who is unable to sign in to ArcGIS Enterprise. From what I understand, the error occurs once he enters his credentials and presses Enter. I will be able to provide a more detailed answer after speaking with him—hopefully tomorrow—if he’s not out in the field. Please note: In the sentence below it should have been 'he and not I'. My apology for the confusion. I think he said the behavior is the same even with a different account. I will let you know for sure.
