Hello GIS friends, I hope you are doing well. I am currently experiencing an issue with our GIS Server. Each time I restart the GIS Server machine, not all of the ArcSOCs start automatically. This has become a significant problem, as it is preventing our mapping applications from opening. As a temporary workaround, I have been manually going to the Services panel to restart ArcGIS Server, ensuring all the ArcSOCs run properly, and the mapping applications function as expected. Hey George, The C:\Temp folder is quiet now. It is not collecting any dust/intercept_log files any more. I can't thank you enough. That was incredible help. I was about to start a disaster recovery of the sever and you saved me from having to do that. Thank you again! I removed all four of these from the system variable. Best Regards, Abi

Hello GIS Friends, I hope you're all doing well. I recently installed ArcGIS Enterprise 11.4 and am encountering an issue. I have a single-machine deployment, and since the installation, the C:\Temp folder on the GIS Server machine has been rapidly filling up with Intercept_log files. After returning from the Thanksgiving holiday, I discovered that the Temp folder had grown to 200 GB, leaving the GIS Server with no available space. This caused corruption of my hosted feature services in the data store. I was able to recover the data store, but the C:\Temp folder continues to grow incessantly. If I do not routinely clear out the C:\Temp folder, it will again cause the GIS Server to run out of space. Has anyone encountered this issue, and do you know how I can resolve it? Hello GIS friends, I'm trying to run 'CalculateGeometryAttribute' in ArcGIS Pro on an Enterprise dataset, and I continue to get RuntimeError: workspace already in transaction mode. I have gone into Connections and made sure there are no 'Connection' on the dataset, and I still get the error. I used to run this all the time before. What may be the issue? @ColinLawrence On my Apple phone I just changed the default browser from Safari to Edge, and it allowed me to sign in to Field Maps. Earlier, I had the person clear cookies and made sure pop-ups were allowed on his Android phone, yet it did not allow him to sign in with Edge on Field Maps. Thank you for your continued interest. @ColinLawrence Thank you. We use Portal for ArcGIS Authentication (default authentication). The phone is Samsung Galaxy S23 FE. The default browser he was using was Microsoft Edge. Once, I had him change the default browser to Chrome, he was able to get in. Does this tell you why Microsoft Edge was not allowing authentication? Thank you again, Abi

Hey @ColinLawrence I got some answers for you. He thinks, it started when he got his new phone back in June. It basically sounds like it may be a hardware problem. However, we do not know that yet because he seems to be meeting all the android specs for Field Maps and is still having problems signing using not just with his credentials but with any other credentials. Please ask any other questions. Hey @ColinLawrence, Thank you for your patience and for your interest in helping resolve this issue. This has been ongoing for about a month, but I am not entirely sure of the exact details just yet. I will confirm everything and update you once I have more information. The issue appears to be with a particular user who is unable to sign in to ArcGIS Enterprise. From what I understand, the error occurs once he enters his credentials and presses Enter. I will be able to provide a more detailed answer after speaking with him—hopefully tomorrow—if he’s not out in the field. Please note: In the sentence below it should have been 'he and not I'. My apology for the confusion. I think he said the behavior is the same even with a different account. I will let you know for sure. Hello GIS friends, I'm trying to open Field Maps app on an android phone and when I sign in I get this error. No available apps There are no apps currently configured on this device that your organization allows to open this content. Please ensure you are signed in with your work or school account to your managed apps or contact your organization's support team. However, I'm able to sign in from other devices using the same credentials. I did a few things but I'm still not having luck. @AlfredBaldenweck - When I put AreaGeodetic(Geometry($feature), 'acres') for a feature class in WGS 1984 Web Mercator (auxiliary sphere) projection it does not save. It verifies the expression to be correct, but it does not save. Also, when I put that expression for a feature class in NAD 1983 UTM Zone 16N projection it verifies it wrong.
