I have a feature service with relational tables. The purpose of this feature service is to help in the eradication of an invasive plant (cogongrass) species from Alabama.

Here is the workflow: Folks collect and treat the invasive species using Field Maps. First, they collect the invasive species feature, and then, they record its treatment on a relational table. Most of the times, treatment method to eradicate the invasive species spot is the same, as a result, they want to be able to copy the treatment record from the relational table to the newly collected feature's relational record/table.

In Field Maps, there is a way to copy feature attributes to a new feature, but after extensive research it appears like there is not a way to copy the treatment relational record/attributes from one feature's relation record table the new feature's relational record.

It would be great to have that capability. That would really help.

@AbiDhakal Interesting, would automatically selecting the related records.
Automatically select related records—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation

If I understand correctly, you can just select the matching records and all related records should also get the selection.  Then you can process them.

@JonathanNealWill this work in Field Maps?

Thank you,
Abi

@AbiDhakal Yeah, looks like my first thought wouldn't work with FieldMaps because the layer property is not there.  As well as the support for multiple feature selection.

I asked @DougMorgenthaler for understanding:

Hey Jonathan - there's no notion of this property in the WebGIS model, so not something that would be available in Field Maps.  We also don't support multiple feature selection, so more than just a property that would need to be there to support this.

@JonathanNeal @DougMorgenthaler Is this something that can be made available in the future? I have also put this in ArcGIS Ideas.

Thank you,
Abi

@AbiDhakal Nice adding your idea to the Field Map site is great to get it the visibility and attention it needs; ArcGIS Field Maps Ideas - Esri Community

For Pro, this is a great spot to leave this idea and the team will evaluate it as it gains kudos.
