 Esri Case #03703536 - Deleting domain deletes the domain value only instead of entire domain Also, right-clicking > Delete on the domain value (code/description) row header deletes the entire domain. Whereas I would have expected it only to delete the specific domain value (code/description). Support says: ...the Esri Inc analyst confirmed that the correct procedure to delete the entire domain with multiple codes before saving the changes is clicking twice the domain header row and then right-click, selecting "delete" and the domain along with all the codes will be deleted. That behavior is unexpected/unintuitive, but it sounds like it is working as designed. ArcGIS Pro 2.9.5; Oracle 18c 10.7.1 eGDB; traditional versioning (moving edits to base): I'm a non-I.T. ArcGIS Pro power user who has full Data Creator privileges for a .SDE database connection/owner. I want to do some professional development in Portal and am wondering if there are any benefits to publishing the eGDB data (that I already have full access to in Pro) as a feature service in Portal, and then use that feature service back in Pro. For example, if I want to hide certain FC fields from users when they're editing the data in the FC, could I (or the administrator) publish the FC as a Portal feature service with some fields hidden, and then users would use/edit it in Pro, only seeing select fields? I'm aware that I can hide the fields using the Fields View in an .APRX in Pro. But that's easily overridable by users in Pro. Whereas I'm wondering if hiding the fields in the feature service would be a more robust option. Or hide certain rows in a feature service, but still allow editing, which might be more robust than feature layer filter mechanisms in Pro. ArcGIS Pro 2.9.5 In the Catalog Pane > right-click menu, there is a somewhat new option called Open Table. That option is positioned at the bottom of the list. In my opinion, it would be more intuitive if the Properties option were at the bottom of this list instead of the Open Table option. That's what users like me are familiar with; it's been like that for decades, including in ArcMap. When I'm working quickly, I accidentally click Open Table instead of Properties because I expect Properties to be at the bottom of the list.   ... View more

ArcGIS Pro 2.9.5 As discussed with @JonathanNeal in a separate message, I'm wondering if it would help to add a selection icon in GP tool descriptions in the Catalog Pane to indicate if the tool honors selections. For example, with the Join Field tool, if rows are selected in the join table via Select By Attributes, only those selected rows will be populated in the new fields in the Input table. I'm aware that it's generally known that most geoprocessing tools honor selections unless otherwise specified. It looks like mobile geodatabases aren't supported in ArcGIS Online. What can you add to ArcGIS Online? As far as I can tell, I would need to copy the mobile geodatabase data to a different filetype like a file geodatabase, and then zip the file geodatabase and upload it that way, which seems backwards. This is where GIS people get into trouble: too many copies of data. It would be great if ArcGIS Online could be enhanced so that we could upload data directly from a mobile geodatabase.     ...
