I'm setting up a workflow to edit attributes on hydrants in a Utility Network, and I'm getting some inconsistent behavior with combo boxes on fields with Coded Value Domains. What happens is some fields show the coded values as combo box, whereas others do not. The fields don't even have the option to set them as Combo Boxes in the form. In both cases, the domains are configured to only apply to the Fire Hydrants subtype. In this particular case, the fields that do work are Short Integer, and the one that doesn't is Text, but I've had similar situations where some Short fields work and others don't. I know editing Utility Network features in Field Maps currently only has limited support, but this still seems odd. Has anyone found a solution for this? https://doc.arcgis.com/en/field-maps/ios/use-maps/utility-network.htm

Ah, thank you! That did the trick. I was able to reconnect via settings immediately. However, it did not show any updated metrics until I restarted the Monitor service. Hopefully that's it for now.

I recently upgraded Monitor server to 2023.3.1, and since then I've been getting alerts for "Connectivity - arcgis_server_discover (%)" for our federated servers. If I try to reconnect, I get the error "Undefined is not a function." See screenshot below. I don't see anything in the logs for Portal or either of the affected servers. I also upgraded Enterprise from 11.0 to 11.1 a few days later, but that did not seem to improve the situation. Has anyone else encountered this, or have any thoughts on how to proceed?

That should be all you need to do, and then just save after. To double check, you can try So far, it seems to have worked for me. However, I'm not quite ready to declare success. As you noted above, the notices don't seem to crop up every time the project is open. So it may be a false positive.

I've been having this issue as well. I discovered (accidentally) that the locator references are also stored in the individual maps. I happened to get the "Maps" section expanded before the errors started and noticed that the locator errors would come in clusters, then pause. Additional maps would load during each pause, after which the locator errors resumed. I came up with a Python script to remove all the disabled locators from each maps definition. The assumption is that if the locator was enabled, it was valid, otherwise it wasn't supported. Of course, this would remove any locators that you manually disabled. So far, it seems to be working. It does not remove the unsupported locators from the project. That needs to be done manually. Be sure to save the project after running the script. #get current pro project
thisProject = arcpy.mp.ArcGISProject("CURRENT")
#list all map objects
maps = thisProject.listMaps()
#find the "enabled" locators and assume all others aren't supported
#replace locator list with enabled only
for m in maps:
mdef = m.getDefinition('V3')
loclist = mdef.locators
newList = []
for l in loclist:
if l.enabled:
newList.append(l)
mdef.locators = newList
m.setDefinition(mdef)

I agree we definitely need some way to do this. At the very least, it should be able to recognize whether the logged in user has permission to view said attachment. My case is even more frustrating that it doesn't work. I've got a feature service that handles a yearly hydrant flushing program. For the current year's flushing, I want to display the photo of what they did at that heart last year. In the web map viewer, it works no problem. In Field Maps, it won't display, even though it's the same feature service.

I'd also like to piggyback on this one. For me, on Enterprise 11, the Map Image Layer will highlight correctly in the Classic map viewer but not the new one. It appears to work correctly in my dev site on 11.1, even just pulling in the same MIL from the production side. I'm hoping my next upgrade will resolve this, but there ought to be a patch or setting or something for those who aren't in a position to upgrade. The feature layer highlights as expected.

That doesn't work for me, either, on Enterprise 11. I was hopeful when I saw the workflow, but it turns out I already have the Shape field enabled and I still don't see feature highlighting. It all works on my Dev environment at 11.1, so I'm cautiously optimistic that our next upgrade will resolve the issue.

I know this is a very old post, but here's my workaround for the most recent versions of Enterprise (11.1+) and for AGOL. In Arcade, you can use Now(), DateDiff(), and a while loop to force a given popup to take longer. This is a really jankety solution, but it works. I recommend using it only if really necessary. It would also work best if there's only one or two popups in particular that you really want to move further down in the pile. Anything more than that would be really hairy to manage well. Here's the code to do this: //set target delay in milliseconds
var delay = 1000;
//get start time and initiate the elapsed time variable
var startTime = Now();
var time2 = Now();
var elapsed = DateDiff(time2,startTime);
//while elapsed time is less than target time, check elapsed time until target is met
while (elapsed < delay) {
elapsed = DateDiff(Now(),startTime);
}
//return value for testing. Can use functional code instead
return elapsed;

What version of Enterprise are you using? It definitely works for me in Enterprise 11, with maps authored in either map viewer, but maybe I'll be in trouble if I upgrade too fast!

This is the sum total of my code to accomplish this for Cityworks. My one gripe is that I have to change the version number for each version of the Cityworks app, but that's on Cityworks' end. This particular bit of code is for inspections. You can do the same thing with work orders, work requests, etc, by changing the workActivityType parameter. var baseURL = "cityworks11://openWorkActivity?workActivityType=2&workActivityId=";
var inspectionID = $feature["INSPECTIONID"];
return baseURL + inspectionID;

I'd like to add that for our organization, we like to restrict field edits to updating a few selected fields and adding/deleting attachments. We didn't allow field users to add or delete features or update geometries with our Geometric Network data, and we were able to publish services that let us lock things down this way. The Utility Network currently requires all editing options be turned on when you publish.

@AlixVezina The most important piece is the interactivity. It doesn't matter too much to me which widget does it, so long as a user can interactively draw or select a line and see how a continuous data raster varies along that line.

I have a long-standing issue with my vector tiles that I've been trying to resolve. The issue is that I design my label classes in Pro and get results that I like. However, in the published vector tiles, there are invariably high densities of repeating labels at high zoom levels (see examples below). I've gone through the suggestions in https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/mapping/map-authoring/labeling-in-vector-tiles.htm and made adjustments accordingly, but I still see this issue. I suspect there's something simple I'm missing. Does anyone have a good suggestion? I'm working in Enterprise 10.9.1, publishing from Pro 3.1.3, but this has been an issue for years. Desired: Actual:
