Click this button to turn off the auto apply. It works almost identically to ArcMap. I usually just bookmark my source/destination so I can hop between them when building the points table.

Hi @LauraCarson , We recently switched to using an arcade script to display the information directly in a popup, and it runs off an expression (below). It seems that you could use that same script to do an on-the-fly join in the webmap and symbolize off the created columns. I'll see if I can get it to work on my end. Here's the script I'm using for the popups. I found it in one of these forum posts, but I can't remember where I found it, or else I'd give that person some much deserved credit for conjuring it up : ) // Access 'Inspections' table as a FeatureSet var portal = Portal("PORTAL HERE") var inspections = FeatureSetByPortalItem(portal, "FEATURE SERVICE ID NUMBER HERE", LAYER#, ['FIELD1', 'FIELD2', 'DATEFIELD']) // Filter related features by using a common attribute var facilityid = $feature.PARENT_ID var filterStatement = 'CHILD_ID = @PARENT_ID' // Related features as a variable var relatedData = Filter(inspections, filterStatement) // Sort related features by oldest to newest var relatedDataSorted = Top(OrderBy(relatedData, 'DATEFIELD DESC'),1) // Build the pop-up string by iterating through all related features var popupString = 'Last Flushed Date: ' for (var f in relatedDataSorted){ popupString += Text(f.DATEFIELD, 'MM/DD/YYYY') } DefaultValue(popupString, 'No measurements to show')

Thanks @JonathanNeal ! I typically create my webmaps fully within the AGOL interface, but I'll try using ArcPro for my next one. I've just taken to copying the expressions into a text file and migrating them to the new maps. The hard part is bouncing between maps to be sure the new popups match the other maps'.

It'd be nice to be able to save a pop-up "style" and apply it to new maps. For example, I have a map that is using a custom pop-up that is referencing 2 arcade expressions. I have the feature layer that the pop-ups are running on inside other maps, and I'd like to propagate the pop-up with all of the settings, fonts, layout etc. into the other maps.

I use an acrade script to create a popup that calcs two dates against each other. Seems like you could do the same for other fields. I got this template from a forum on here (sorry, I forgot where or I'd give them credit). Anyway, here's mine. Must be used in the new map viewer, so add this as one of your expressions, then in the popup add {expr/1} or whatever number it is: // Access 'Inspections' table as a FeatureSet var portal = Portal("PORTAL ADDRESS HERE") var inspections = FeatureSetByPortalItem(portal, "ITEM NUMBER HERE", <layer # in service here>, ['field1', 'field2', 'field3']) // Filter related features by using a common attribute var facilityid = $feature.parentID var filterStatement = 'childID = @parentID' // Related features as a variable var relatedData = Filter(inspections, filterStatement) // Sort related features by oldest to newest var relatedDataSorted = Top(OrderBy(relatedData, 'field3 DESC'),1) // Build the pop-up string by iterating through all related features var popupString = 'Last Flushed Date: ' for (var f in relatedDataSorted){ popupString += Text(f.field3, 'MM/DD/YYYY') } DefaultValue(popupString, 'No measurements to show')

I really need this now. Although the scripts are great, they take way too much configuration. It needs to be as simple as "Duplicate Project>>Select All Assignments>>Change all to new due date (or selected subset)".

Good point. I don't see anywhere to do that. I suppose you'd just have to republish and do an overwrite.

This is the older version, but if you choose "View and Item's JSON", then select the item, it'll give you the option to edit the JSON.

I believe you can use the online assistant https://ago-assistant.esri.com/ to edit underlying json values. Be careful with it though because they warn you that your service can end up corrupted if you mess anything up. I've only toyed with it some with a test feature service, but seemed simple enough.

What model are you looking at purchasing? A general rule-of-thumb with iPads is if they are cellular capable, they will have a GPS. The non-cellular versions are WiFi only.

We found that the graphics card requirement with ArcPRO affects the performance quite a bit. Do you have a graphics card on the machine you're running pro on? It ran terribly for us on a machine when trying to use onboard graphics.

Yep same issue here. Interestingly, a somewhat lengthy script (at least for me) that looks at a related table and grabs the most recent date from a 1:M relate runs fairly fast in the new viewer. Its just the regular popups that seem to be running slowly for me.

Great idea using ChatGPT! I just tried it for some labeling help and it sort of worked, but it definitely was better than google : )
