I'm not 100% sure it's possible to do this without some creativity....but there are business partners that do this that are integrated with the platform. GeoDecisions Notify application comes to mind. http://www.geodecisions.com/notify/ -Adam Z

Hi Daniel - sounds like you are setting up a base deployment of ArcGIS Enterprise. Review this tutorial to see if you hit all the steps. Tutorial: Set up a base ArcGIS Enterprise deployment—Documentation | ArcGIS Enterprise Portal was installed and configured through Web Adapter? ArcGIS Server was installed, site created, configured through Web Adapter? The only time you should see the create or join site is post-installation.....are you running multiple ArcGIS Server machines or just one? -Adam Z

Hi Darla - Yeah, unfortunately you'll need at least a Standard license. The spreadsheet will work, you'll just need to load it as a table so that the tool can work with it. You can use ArcPy, but it is also available as a GP Tool in both ArcMap and ArcGIS Pro. By adding as attachments, you would simply publish to ArcGIS Online and the attachments will go with the features. -Adam Z

Hi Carmel - I've seen the service location in ArcGIS Server mentioned a few times. I can't speak for the product team, but in my mind I wouldn't think this is something they will include. Since access and organization takes place at the Portal level, organizing service in Server doesn't make much difference. I see Server (at least the hosting server) as a behind the scenes engine dedicated to powering Portal. When publishing to Portal, you can designate the folder of 'My Content' for the item to be placed. Do this by clicking on the yellow folder next to the Name of the item. You can browse to a folder and assign a name to the Map/Feature layer. Is your server federated and designated as a hosting server? I have that set-up and my services are removed when I remove a Portal item. I think the only time I saw where services were not automatically removed is when ArcGIS Server wasn't federated with Portal. -Adam Z

Hi Greg - what you saw demonstarted was the GeoAnalytics Server role of ArcGIS Enterprise. I'm not sure how that fits into the NPO program, but here are a few links to get you going (NPO Program and GeoAnalytics Server). These can be deployed in the cloud, at an additional cost (self managed - Azure, AWS - or Esri managed services in the cloud). Feel free to reach out via direct message. Hi Frieda - this probably says it best.... Anonymous access doesn't require an additional web adapter. Users with identity would have to sign in to see the content shared with them (will not be prompted - using enterprise logins would log them in automatically). Anonymous doesn't affect your licenses, it just makes the Home page, Gallery, Map, Scene and Groups visible without authenticating. Anonymous users would be able to access the map, add content to the map (public layers) to explore data but wouldn't be able to save them or share them. Below is a snap of a portal with anonymous enabled, you can see the resources available. Hope this helps - Adam Z

Hi Darla - Just want to get this in the thread for those finding it later as a resource. Pictures as attachments in the geodatabase are the easiest way to access them via pop-ups across the platform. Enabling attachments—ArcGIS Help | ArcGIS Desktop In your case, how are the images stored? In ArcGIS Pro, there is a GP tool to mass create and load the pictures as attachments. You would need an intermediate table that has the linkage between the images and the manholes, but the result would be attachments and most likely the simplest way to display the images in an application. Add Attachments—Data Management toolbox | ArcGIS Desktop -Adam Z

Hello there - How do your parcel changes get to you? The Parcel Editor tools work specifically with a Parcel Fabric. Assuming you can edit your parcels would indicate your parcels are not in the Parcel Fabric. The next option is the COGO tools...but they require a minimum of a Standard license. I would strongly consider an upgrade to Standard to take advantage of the COGO tools, otherwise the manual effort is going to be difficult. You can use sketch options that are available in the right-click context menu to go a certain direction and length. -Adam Z

Hi Jane - It may have something to do with that column. How did you add the '-'? The only way I've had that work in the past is to use a '-1' multiplier to get the number format to stick. There's a chance your process converted the numbers to text. -Adam Z

Hi - Jamal, Could you expand a little bit on your feature classes? Are T1 and L1 both versioned feature classes? What type of versioning is being used? The evw views are system geneterated views that compile the base table with the delta tables based on a specific version. Default version is used by default, but using SQL other versions can be accessed. The purpose behind the evws is to be able to read or edit a FC using SQL, not ArcMap. So, there are a few variables to consider when you are trying to edit (or enable a trigger against) an evw. You need to know what version is being editied and the versioning methodology used (standard, move-to-base). What is a versioned view?—Help | ArcGIS Desktop -Adam Z
