Harrold Sompotan given that mine is just a migration to a new machine and the deployment is very basic with few (3) users, would you suggest going with these methods? In my opinion, they seem rather straight forward, although I never tried them. Thanks in advance for any advice.

I successfully exported the server and portal sites with the exportSites methods in the same folder where I would have placed the output of the webgis dr without problems...

Jonathan Quinn I also saw you other answer to a similar problem here: https://community.esri.com/thread/223536-webgisdr-backup-failed-with-unable-to-generate-token Can I please ask you where to find the logback.xml file, if it is present in 10.5 version?

Thanks for the feedback Travis Shore Yes, I tried with both the Web Adaptor context and the machine name but I had the same error. I also tried moving the .properties file in another directory where I gave arcgis user full pemissions but still the same... Sorry but what is IWA? UPDATE No, I am not using "Integrated Windows Authentication".

Hello, I need to do a full backup of an AGE 10.5 using the WebGIS DR tool. The final aim is restoring it on a different machine as described in the guide Migrate to a new machine in ArcGIS Enterprise using the WebGIS DR tool My server OS is Windows 2008 R2 64bit. I am following Create an ArcGIS Enterprise backup—Portal for ArcGIS (10.5.x) | ArcGIS Enterprise. I have configured my webgis.properties file (called "webgisdir_BAK.properies"), and then I launch from the CMD the command: webgisdr --export --file "C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Portal\tools\webgisdir\webgisdir_BAK.properies" Unfortunately, I receive the following error: Failed to generate the ArcGIS Server token from the portal https://svksi058a.globalnt.it:7443/arcgis/sharing. Failed to get the configuration of the web GIS. Stopping the webgisdr utility I attach the encrypted "webgisdir_BAK.properies" and the "webgisdr.log". I also tried to set the ArcGIS Server to HTTPS Only and have my Web Adaptor allowing administrative access as suggested in Portal Backup with webgisdr: Server is not started, but still I had no luck. I also opened a case to Esri meanwhile but as this is an important operation, I wanted to post my problem here to see if I had more chances to solve it. Thanks in advance.

Sorry, the answer was just at the end of the explanation of the pitr parameter: This option is new in ArcGIS Data Store 10.5.1. ArcGIS Data Store command utility reference—Portal for ArcGIS (10.5.x) | ArcGIS Enterprise

I am following this guide to make a backup of my Enterprise 10.5: Migrate to a new machine in ArcGIS Enterprise using the WebGIS DR tool At point 6 it reds Create a backup with the WebGIS DR tool Following the guide Create an ArcGIS Enterprise backup—Portal for ArcGIS (10.5.x) | ArcGIS Enterprise for 10.5, I read that I am supposed to have point-in-time enabled in my Data Store. The ArcGIS Data Store relational data store in your ArcGIS Enterprise deployment must have point-in-time recovery enabled. Reading ArcGIS Data Store command utility reference—Portal for ArcGIS (10.5.x) | ArcGIS Enterprise, it seems the right tool to to enable is found in cd C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\DataStore\tools. The command I am trying to run from an Administrator command prompt is changedbproperties.bat --store relational --pitr enable However, when I do it, I receive the error Error encountered: Invalid parameter <enable>. Looking at the utility help by doing changedbproperties.bat --help, I don't see any pitr option, although the aforementioned documentation reads otherwise. I am now stuck as it seems a prerequisites to run the WebGIS DR utility to make the backup. Any suggestion?

I have this problem upgrading from ArcGIS Server 10.5 to 10.7.1. I also saw other threads (1, 2) related to this but their solutions did not work in my case. Also, there's a patch to solve this problem for previous versions but not for 10.7.1. I am on a Windows Server 2016 Standard OS. After the AGS installation has completed, I need to click a button in the browser to continue the upgrade, but I receive the error Upgrade step 2 of 2 : Failed. Refresh auto-deployed services during upgrade. I tried: clearing the browser cache running the browser as admin (both IE 11 and Chrome) changing the URL to the manager (https://public_domain:6443/arcgs/manager; https://fqdn:6443/arcgis/manager; https://localhost:6443/arcgis/manager No matter what, I still cannot proceed with the upgrade. Any suggestions?

Windows 10, ArcGIS Pro 2.4.1. I have a toolbox with a single tool inside. Whenever I try to edit a parameter or run the tool, ArcGIS Pro crashes. The toolbox and the tool were produced using a previous (recent) version of ArcGIS Pro and used to work with no issues. Unfortunately I cannot remember the exact version, but it's recent as I have automatic check for updates enabled and I update whenever I am notified. I attach the toolbox for giving anyone interested the chance to replicate the problem and possibly diving into it a bit. I also attach the dump file produced on the last crash. Here are the steps to reproduce the crash: - open my tool in edit - enter with double click in whatever parameter - makes some legitimate change (e.g. change the source file to another) - click OK to exit the window ArcGIS Pro should come back to the edit window. However, the application crashes. The same happens when I press RUN to execute the tool. Is this a bug? Any help would be very much appreciated. I'll also open a support ticket if you think it's better. Thanks in advance.

Sometimes it's nice to see it's not a "machine/OS/personal settings-related" problem. Glad you found the cause and looking forward for the fix. Cheers.

Hi Russell Roberts, I've already solved the problem by re generating the cache from AGOL, so I didn't do the sharing from Pro again to see if that would have worked. Anyway, here is the link to the sd file of one of the layers which failed to publish. Thanks.

Apparently those four Web Scene Layers with errors in the Jobs panel are present in my contents in AGOL. I tried to rebuild the cache for one of them in the item's detail page -> Settings. It failed the first time but it completed the second. Russell Roberts Will present you with the Job ID and time which can be helpful for us to determine any backend issues. One (the last one) failed to revuild the cache. Here is what you are asking for: https://services1.arcgis.com/akSqihORVVxKLgVJ/arcgis/rest/admin/services/bimgis_agol_WSL5/SceneServer/jobs/0bad1b44-6e38…

I am also facing strange errors while trying to share a web scene from ArcGIS Pro 2.4. The error in the jobs is the following: "Unknown map tile cache creation status returned" This seems to happen only for some Scene Layers in my scene, while others are shared succesfully. Here is a printscreen of my "Job Queue" panel to give you an idea. Those failed-to-publish WSLs (WSL1, 2, 3, 5) are not that different from those which were published succesfully. The WSL5 in particular, is part of a group layer containing the other layers published succesfully (WSL4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10), which were converted from a IFC with the Data Interoperability together with the failing WSL5. Also, I recall having published this same Scene without problem. Is the Unknown map tile cache creation status returned error related to a network problem? I also recall once in a while having problems in publishing Web Scenes from Pro which were solved by republish the same Scene without modifications after a while.
