As a test, I tried it out and added it to his computer which is older and it worked just fine. So there's something weird with my new computer and fonts which is very strange as they exist in the font's folder. I may have to check on IT or something. I even on his machine and found where the temp *.stylex file was and copied that to another drive to see if that worked, and nothing. However I've downloaded some of ESRI's custom stylex from the website and they also include fonts it looks like and they are accessible and work just fine, so no idea why this isn't at all, unless it had something to do with me originally importing a *.mxd and it somehow hard coded that font weird. Don't know if there's a repair Pro or something like that as I'd rather not reinstall it if I can help it...

Strange as that's all I ended up doing too and the symbols in symbology still show up with the wrong characters. I have actually reinstalled the TTF's several times thinking maybe that's what the issue was, but didn't make any difference, even after rebooting. What years does yours show for your Version of the files? My TTF states it's version 4.1 from Macromedia Fontographer from 2004. But I downloaded a set from another link on the forums here and it didn't make any difference either. Since I can still see them fine in ArcMap that makes me think it can't be the fonts at all or I'd have issues in that (I did just recently get a new computer, so just set up the fonts for ArcMap as well last week without issues.). I just reinstalled all of them again and tested it out just to see and get the same issue with all the DDV fonts in Pro. The only thing I can think of is there's a newer version out there, but I'm not finding them at all?

I have a set of highway symbols that we use in ArcMap (DDVCO series, especially the DDVco5e). These show up fine in Arcmap, but when I'm trying to import a map into Pro they give the default characters and not actually the Font used for the highway symbols, despite having the font loaded and is seen in ArcMap the way it should. I'm also tried to just import the *.style into Pro and that does the same exact thing as importing a *.mxd into Pro with these symbols. I know there are a number of older posts on here about this, and the most recent one was still 2 years ago (.style to .stylx confusion (ArcPro)). I am using 2.4 and for the life of me I can't figure out how to get the symbols *.style to recognize the fonts.

Yeah you're right, that too needs to be added as a functionality. I was thinking there was a button in that right-click menu that allowed that, but yeah you're correct there isn't...

Yes thanks, the 1st one was the same issue I was referring to. The colors though is possible by just highlighting the symbols you want in the pane and right-clicking to bring up the palate. But yes, the first one describes my issue...

Yep this is annoying to have this not part of Pro as it was in ArcMap. Often I need to do create several mutli-layered symbols that are similar, but a bit different. It would be so much nicer to be able to do this without having to create styles as it used to be like that's for sure. I was originally thinking I was missing something, but then was directed to this post...

You can apply colors to selected features in Arc Pro. Just highlight the features you want and then right-click to pick the color. What is missing though is the ability to change the line styles by selecting specific ones. That is something that I have yet to figure out how to do in Pro besides creating a style for each one... d

In ArcMap when you had a symbology set up and wanted to change a few of the features, you could just select those and then apply a general symbology to those that you selected. In Pro, I'm not seeing that option and only see the option of formatting all the symbols and not just a few that I have selected. I've tried a few things as I'm able to select the values I want, but the only thing I can get working on those selected values is to Right-Click and change the color, but not the line types or anything else. Is there a way to change the format of the symbols for just those that you selected (shown in blue highlight in ProSelectioni.jpg)? Another issue is when I choose to Format All Symbols, I'm given a limited amount of Property options (ProSelection_2.jpg) compared to singly clicking on a symbol where I get all the options (ProSelection_3.jpg)?

So has there been any more recent word on this topic? We use a few databases through Access because we have developed complex forms to easy user input which then we need to see on the fly in Arc as the forms get updated by their lat/long. Last thing we need to do is to spend months waiting for someone to develop a front end for these databases to act the same way as Access does and to be able to fully support it so that we can use it in Pro. It would be a lot easier for us to have Pro be able to read and access *.mdb or *.accdb as ArcMap has...

It ArcMap, when you did a Select by Attributes, it would always keep that last query you used so that you could always go back and reuse or modify it. Arc Pro I noticed as soon as you close the Geoprocessing pane, it deletes any query you had just run. Maybe even have a toggle to turn on save current query in history or something temporarily until you exit Pro. I know you can "Save" the query, but this is more a temporary thing in your current project rather than having to actually have a temporary query on the hard drive that you might only need to use a couple of times, but need the space on the monitor for the map and not have the Geoprocessing pane take up too much room...

Yeah it is two ideas. I have a feeling the more I use Pro, that nay pop up tools will automatically be auto positioned that just don't get saved, so might not be something with just this tool. Probably should have added it to a new topic, but oh well, it's here I guess now...

Currently it seems the Go To XY doesn't have a zoom to the location option, the only ones I see are the option of panning to the location or flashing it, but not zooming to it at all. It would also be great having this tool bar to have an option (much like the Editing Toolbar does) to allow it to show up on the top of the map rather then defaulted at the bottom. Or even better yet, where ever you move the XY toolbar to it would always show up in that location for every other project you opened. Currently it's always at the bottom and always covered by my attribute table I have opened...

Is there a way to have the Go To XY zoom to the location? Currently I only see the option of panning to the location or flashing it, but not zooming to it at all? If it's not in there, it would be nice to have that feature. Another thing with it is, I hate how it always shows up at the bottom of the map screen every time I start Arc Pro. I would like to have it positioned in a specific place (at the top) so that it always opens up there when I want to use it. I know I can physically move it, but often I have the Attribute Table open and covering the bottom and it's kind of a pain having to move that each time to re position the Go To XY...

Totally agree with ArcMap being a lot more superior and faster for editing. I have gotten used to the new snapping and in a way I have found with the Snapping toggle for layers being a big thing I enjoy as I no longer have to make base maps anymore as I did in ArcMap. All this though comes at a higher performance cost and many things in editing take so much longer to process and do in comparison. I think the issue is as mentioned is "It's a lot flashier" and I'm thinking this is one of the big reasons it's taking me 30 seconds to do something I could accomplish in ArcMap in only 2-3 seconds...
