This newly added FCC Broadband Data Collection layer shows fixed broadband availability for every neighborhood in the U.S. and outlying areas. It summarizes the June 2022 BDC data showing the number of served, underserved, and unserved Broadband Serviceable Locations (BSLs) by transmission technology in a given geography. Open map The data is a composite of six sublayers – State, County, Tract, Block Group, Block, and H3 Resolution-8 hexagonal areas – with adjacent scale ranges, each with a related table listing all provider service offerings in a geography. For more information, see The Broadband Data Collection and ArcGIS Living Atlas of the World.

Beyond Web Mercator: Building basemaps in different projections by Andrew Skinner explains how you can create basemaps in different projections to support your work. The earth isn't flat, so projections are a fact of life. And while WMAS is the defacto standard, you can create other basemaps in different projections to meet specific needs.

Your thoughts and suggestions are appreciated. A question back to you is: How many blocks would you find sufficient to meet your needs? There may be other things that you could consider that would offer more flexibility in showing additional content for viewers without showing lots of maps at once. The current 15 block limit given 16 items per block is a potential total of 240 items - a lot to look at for anyone. Some things that might be worth considering: Use a group containing other groups - a group of groups. Use the Category Gallery, a group-based Instant Apps which can be configured to display items in a group with filtering. Add links to Hubs. I believe the above would offer more options for presenting content and still keep things simple on your Home page. From my understanding of what you are trying to do (which might not be accurate) I would suggest looking at Category Gallery. It's one of my favorites for presenting lots of content in easy-to-filter ways. The categories can be group-based categories, content can be placed under multiple categories, and you can quickly and easily change/add/remove categories. The end of this blog article also includes examples showing how to add information from other layers in your map as well as layers from other destinations, such as Living Atlas https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/arcgis-online/mapping/pop-ups-arcade-essentials/ This map is the example in that blog: https://www.arcgis.com/apps/mapviewer/index.html?webmap=bcecad5bc4a5456bada1cd5e230bbf7f Click a peak and then examine the Arcade expression for that layer to see how the feature is buffered to search for additional information from Living Atlas layers not included in the map.

Instead of adding from URL, try adding from file as described in this blog article: https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/arcgis-online/mapping/use-google-drive-arcgis-online/ That covers both adding from Google Drive and updating. The result is a feature layer like any other feature layer, so you can apply filters, etc. The layer can also be configured as the search source in ArcGIS Instant Apps.

The ADD is one of the best available sources of Antarctic topographic data. It is currently managed by the BAS’ Mapping and Geographic Information Centre (MAGIC) on behalf of the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR). The layers available in Living Atlas are: Antarctic Contours – contains information of contour value (metres), source, source date and revision date at medium and high resolutions. Antarctic Coastlines – includes data on coastline type, grounding lines and ice shelf fronts at medium and high resolutions. For more information, see Explore Antarctica’s topography with the British Antarctic Survey.

Arcade should work, but another method might be to use Map Viewer Classic (analysis tools coming to Map Viewer next week). See if Overlay Layers delivers what you need. Overlay Layers Combines two or more layers into a single layer. I ran a test of overlaying a point layer (your wells) with a polygon layer with a resultant point layer that combines attributes from the polygon layer. From there you could create views on the feature layer that would enable you to author separate maps to keep the boss happy.

Hello John - I'm assuming you mean this service: https://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=99cd5fbd98934028802b4f797c4b1732 If so, you are correct that the USGS Topographic Map Service is not published at all those scales. Honestly, I can't offhand recall the reason why but can check further if you find that important. However, as noted in the item details, the layer is in mature support as of March 2019 and is no longer updated. A better alternative is to use the USGS Historical Topographic Map Explorer which delivers maps at larger scales. https://livingatlas.arcgis.com/topoexplorer/index.html That Living Atlas app provides a way to specify a place of interest, view all available USGS topo maps for that area by date and extent, and (after signing in) save the desired topo map to a web map for further use. The app is scheduled for a redesign in the future.

A new addition to the ArcGIS Living Atlas apps was released earlier this morning. The Sentinel-2 Land Cover Explorer provides insights by delivering timely land use/land cover data with change analysis tools. Land Use/Land Cover (LULC) maps are an increasingly important tool for decision-makers at local, regional, and national government levels around the world. These maps help inform policy and land management decisions around issues like sustainability, by contextualizing and quantifying the impacts of earth processes and human activity on the environment. Highlighting these key capabilities, The Living Atlas team is pleased to announce Sentinel-2 Land Cover Explorer, a new web-based mapping application built on the ArcGIS API for JavaScript. I scrutinized your video and figured there was a difference between your trial account and your organization account. After experimenting a bit, I discovered that in your trial account you are creating the feature layer from OneDrive in your home folder. In your organization you are creating the feature layer in another folder you have created. And that's the difference! I was able to reproduce this on my end and have submitted a bug for correction. Your workaround is to create that feature layer in your home folder, then move it out to another folder in My Contents.

I added the layer from the item (https://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=8c2db10c952e45b68efdfc78f64267b0) and noticed that the scale range is off and it will not display at regional/countrywide/global extents, though I am having trouble with it at all extents. I will have the Living Atlas curation team reach out to WorldPop, the publisher of the service.
