That blog article is still current and live, I just opened it and gave it a quick review. The short answer is that Living Atlas public, subscription, and premium subscription content is perfectly fine and easy to use in any of the modern apps, such as Instant Apps, StoryMaps, Dashboards, and Experience Builder. All of those will transparently handle subscription content and will only prompt you to ok the use of premium subscription content when publishing a public app. Web AppBuilder will check for and prompt you to ok the use of both subscription and premium content.

The Census ACS layers in Living Atlas cover a wide range of topics on population, income, education, health insurance, language, race and ethnicity, and more. These layers contain data for states, counties, and census tracts. More than 100 layers are available, each focusing on a specific topic. Each topic’s layer is hosted as both boundaries and centroids for your spatial analysis, mapping, charting and visualization. These layers are free to use and can be downloaded to your local drive as needed. To learn about the next Census ACS five-year estimates release, including the anticipated timeframe, enhancements, and updates, see Updates coming to American Community Survey layers in ArcGIS Living Atlas (December 2023). Admins can view a memeber's content in Organization>Members, choosing a member and then viewing items. Anyone can search using the owner item field documented in this Help topic: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-online/reference/advanced-search.htm These can mixed with other keywords, for example: karst owner:"bernszukalski" That syntax works outside your organization too. You can also view items and groups owned by a particular member via their profile, which is probably the easiest way.

The World Imagery Wayback app offers a dynamic browsing and discovery experience for archived versions of World Imagery created over time. The app displays a timeline and list, letting you browse all archived versions based on location and scale. You can focus on only imagery with local changes, preview imagery by hovering or selecting individual layers, or use swipe and animation mode to explore further. The Wayback app now offers a new export capability, designed to support exporting small volumes of imagery basemap tiles (as tile packages) for offline use in ArcGIS applications and other applications built with an ArcGIS Runtime SDK. While not as easy as built-in symbols, don't forget that Map Viewer now supports custom JPG, PNG, GIF, SVG symbols. I use these quite a lot. They persist in my maps until I clear cache, unfortunately aren't so easy to propagate across an organization. However, if you can find a way to create a repository for these, perhaps even a group for images that members can download an use, then this becomes much more straightforward. Download the "organization standard symbols" then use them when styling a map layer.
