To close this thread. The constraint syntax above is correct, but the expression is not executing in your case because your question is operating within a repeat. This issue is in our backlog at the moment (constraints do not work when within a repeat).

Hi, technically, you can have nested repeats. Nested repeats in your Survey translate into nested related tables or layers in the Feature Service. Repeats, and nested repeats in particular, are not completely implemented yet in Survey123 for ArcGIS, so you will need to explore what works for now. Here are some glitches that you will find: - Relevant expressions, calculations and required questions within a repeat are ignored. - The Map Viewer (ArcGIS.com and Portal) has difficulties showing nested related tables. ArcGIS Pro and ArcMap are probably the best tools to navigate nested related tables. Completing the implementation of repeats and nested repeats is in our road map, but at the moment you should be aware of the limitations. You will need some trial and error for now. Addressing the issues above is in our backlog but we have not set a clear delivery date just yet. Stay tuned. Ismael

Hi Ted, update on https issues you found before: We got to the bottom of the https issue you reported and will address it in our next release of the app (planned for around March 3). For completeness, the issue was that you first published your Survey as http, and then switched the security to https only. This caused the app to break because the Survey was already on http but the ArcGIS Online organization would no longer support http calls. In the next update of the app, a fix has been added so the security settings of your ArcGIS organization are double-checked before submit. Thanks for reporting the problem. as far as the 400 error, can you confirm if you are using images in your Survey? These images may be causing the problem. It has been reported that this error pops when you are submitting a Survey with images over a cellular network. If submitting over a reliable WIFI, the submit happens correctly. We are also working on this so we can provide a fix in the next update immediately after March 3. Ismael

Hi, I updated the Survey123 and ArcGIS for Server Blog Post with additional information. May the crux of the problem is that you are using Integrated Windows Authentication. You can configure your Portal with Windows Active Directory users, but the authentication must be OAuth for Survey123 for ArcGIS to work. Ismael

I think I can follow now. So you can use a first select for your TractLetter. Use the Name to persist the Letter of the Tract Then you use the second cascaded select for the corresponding list of TractNumbers in that Letter. You will use the Name column to persist the Number. Then you use a Calculate to join the Letter and Number and you store that as well.

Hi John, Survey123 for ArcGIS does not use the ArcGIS Runtime. You will not find a Runtime GDB. All you will find is a handful of SQLLite databases. If you are interested in developing with Survey123 for ArcGIS, have a look at AppStudio for ArcGIS. We will shortly announce how you can extend and customize Survey123 for ArcGIS with AppStudio for ArcGIS. Ismael

Hi, we are working towards having support for public surveys towards the end of 2016. A public survey is one where anyone could answer questions even without an ArcGIS account. We also would like to integrate Survey123 with social logins (facebook, twitter etc), so you could also login into the app with these credentials. In ArcGIS speak, sharing with 'everyone' means making your Survey public. If you share your Survey with everyone at this moment, the Survey123 app will no longer display it in the Download gallery. Hi Nicole, I am not sure if I correctly understand your question, but it seems to me like a cascading select would fit. In a cascading select, the values you type in the NAME column of the Choices list go directly into your database. Again, I do not quite follow the question. Can you elaborate a bit? Ismael

Hi Nicole, if you would not mind, please attach your spreadsheet so I can have a look. You need to use the Advanced Editor in GeoNet for the attachment tool to show. Ismael

Hi Nicole, it depends on what you want. The relevant expression is useful on a Note to give the user a warning. If you want to truly stop the user from submitting a Form that breaks your rule, then add a constraint in the multiple-choice itself. I added both examples so you could see the options. Ismael

H Doug, as of 1.2.49, support for time questions is poor. We are working on a new time control to handle this better and we are planning to make the first cut of this work available in early March. If you would like to have access to an early build of the app with support for Time, send me a private message. We will be happy to share with you an early cut if you are willing to give us some feedback on it. Ismael Doug Campbell
