In your zip archive, the files are in a subfolder. The files must be in the root of the archive for the upload to work - create a new zip file without the subfolder and the import will work just fine.

ArcGIS Explorer Online is tested with different browsers - I use Firefox, as well as Chrome and IE. I dont know of any issues which affect Firefox specifically.

You can enter latitude/longitude coordinates into the Find Places box at the top right of the map: http://help.arcgis.com/en/arcgisexplorer/help/#/Find_geographic_entities/01560000001w000000/

Selecting a single feature will show the pop-up window, if pop-ups are configured for that layer. If you have selected multiple features from an editable layer, you can delete them all at once. Future functionality may make more use of multiple selections.

Hi James, This is a known issue in the current release I'm afraid, the labelling of the classes is misleading - the maximum value in a given class is below that labelled. So in your example, the value of $35,443 is in class 2 - you should see if you find a feature that has the boundary value, it is symbolized correctly in the map with the higher group's symbol. This is on the list of things we'd like to address for the next release; however as it's not currently fixed in our working builds so I cant promise it will get fixed for the next release.

The reason you can't see any features in 'New Layer' is because there's no features in that layer. I used a tool called Fiddler to look at what's actually in this map, but an easy way to tell this is that the Zoom To button is disabled in the Layer Details panel. If you imported this layer, it's possible that features you input were rejected for some reason - for example if it was a list of addresses, perhaps the addresses could not be found. If you are not sure why the import resulted in an empty layer, then again if you post the data here we can take a look - also let me know if you imported in Explorer Online, or if it was done using the ArcGIS.com map viewer.

Hi - I have tried uploading a large shapefile (20MB zipped) to an organizations account just now, and things worked fine, so perhaps this is something to do with the data? If you can email the data you used to sgill at esri.com, I'll investigate this.

The Layers list reflects the order that layers are drawn in, so yes, if you have other layers that draw over the top of your points, that can certainly hide your points. If you cant make your points visible, then if you can share the map publically, we can have a look at what's going on.

Being a SL developer I have had these cache issues before... but ExplorerOnline is being very persistent. Good news that the clean machine works. Though I'm not sure why you have ended up with a ExplorerOnline[1].xap - is there not an ExplorerOnline.xap present too? (marked as Hidden perhaps?). I'm pretty sure I have occasionally seen problems where IE seems to be loading an older XAP, instead of getting a new file, but for me, a clearing of the cache sorts things out (either within IE, or manual delete of the offending XAP if I dont want to nuke my whole cache). I've not yet worked out under what circumstances caching problems can happen though, so do post back any more info if you think you know why this is happening (its possible that a crashed IE process with no lurking somewhere could prevent clearing of the cache properly). Cheers, Shelly

There's no new information on this - the current Explorer Online and ArcGIS.com map viewer both read and write the same version web map. Again, if you can share the maps that you have a problem with, we can double-check the contents and check opening the maps. There's a few things that I would check: 1. Is there any caching in the environment - e.g. is there a corporate proxy perhaps that could be handing back an old version to the browsers on your machine? (this really isnt my area, but I think given that all your browsers behave the same, it sounds like a sensible place to start). 2. Seeing as you said you'd got a range of browsers, I guess you'll have IE - check your IE cache and see what the Last Modified date is on the ExplorerOnline.xap that will be in your cache. For the latest version of Explorer Online, mine is 29th September 2011 - so if it's older than that, close IE and try manually deleting this (and any other cached files relating to explorer.arcgis.com), and re open IE, and then see what gets downloaded, and if the Last Modified date is newer. Similar for other browsers, but you'd need to install an approrpriate cache viewer.

So then in the Configure Pop-up window, in the add media portion, i clicked to add an image and in the URL (and link field) I tried: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Flag_of_the_{Country}.svg I'm afraid that SVG (scalable vector graphics) files are not supported as images in pop-up windows in Explorer Online - you can use PNGs or JPEGS: http://help.arcgis.com/en/arcgisexplorer/help/#/Add_media_to_a_pop_up_window/015600000028000000/

I have to say I've never seen behaviour like this with ArcGIS Explorer Online before. Can you tell us what browser are you using, and what version of that browser, to help perhaps narrow things down? You could also try using a different application that uses the ArcGIS silverlight map control (e.g. samples in the interactive SDK at http://help.arcgis.com/EN/webapi/silverlight/samples/start.htm ) and tell us if you see the same behaviour in any of those samples?

Hi - support for degrees decimal minutes has been requested for other areas of Explorer Online (http://forums.arcgis.com/threads/37018-Decimal-Minute-support-for-XY-and-Measure-tool - possibly this thread contains useful information for you if you are an ArcGIS Desktop user). There's an enhancement request to support this coordinate format, but I'm afraid I'm unable to give a date as to when this might be added.
