When exporting geoprocessing results directly into a feature dataset one isn't provided the option to set the transformation within the tool, but this can be set in the Geoprocessing Environment parameters. Thanks for posting your topic as I have used Feature Datasets to manage issues of spatial reference and haven't fully explored the subtleties.

Hi Alessandro, There is an ESRI symbology style set called ESRI_Optimized which is optimized for web display--not all symbology available in ArcMap can be rendered on a web map service. Optimizing map symbols for performance—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop Maybe the above read will help?

When publishing a map service to Portal is it possible to set the HTML display properties of the associated metadata viewable in the Item Description? I would like to present the familiar ESRI stylesheet for the HTML metadata page to the user (RIGHT) not the unformatted view returned by the REST call (LEFT).

Hi James, This discussion branches off from this thread (https://community.esri.com/ideas/13487-speech-recognition-software-for-collecting-data-in-the-field) regarding the integration of voice commands/controls. Siri isn't yet integrated with Workflow but could Siri Shortcuts voice commands be employed to navigate the form controls? Dictation to text is nice but what is desired is the voice command controls functionality that NaturallySpeaking provides. I will mark this thread as answered and hope this comment directs folks to the ESRI Idea discussion.

My initial planned workflow was to collect all of the attribute information in a Survey123 form and then launch Collector to collect line and polygon geometry as this followed a logical workflow (first capturing general survey area and observer details, then attribute details, and finally the geometry bouncing from Survey123, to Collector, and then back again), however, because each Survey123 form has only one submission URL it isn't possible to automatically link the one survey form to multiple feature layers (lines and polygons). Rather, ESRI support recommended the workflow start in a Collector map with the line and polygon features and then use the custom URL to launch the Survey123 form and pass a primary key to then collect the attribute features.

The idea to integrate speech recognition technology in field data collection has been proposed (see below), but is there anyone who can share or speak to their current workflow integrating Survey123 and Dragon NaturallySpeaking (or similar speech recognition) software? Has anyone customized their application to enable the transcription directly within Survey123 or is the voice recording transcription performed post-data collection? I changed the 'type' of field to an 'integer' from 'calculate' and it works now. I will note that the 'esriFieldTypeInteger' designation has no impact, rather, it is the 'type' field that is significant as explained in Esri custom columns—Survey123 for ArcGIS | ArcGIS . Alternately, I can keep the 'type' field as 'calculate' and specify the data type in the 'bind::type' field. type name label calculation bind::type begin repeat Ratings select_one rating Rating Rating calculate Count_1_Star 1_star if(${Rating}=1,int(1),int(0)) int end repeat integer Integer_Count Count sum(${Count_1_Star}) int

I am wanting to count the unique instances of a value within a repeat. Others have had the same issues resolved by explicitly casting the values as integers but this isn't resolving my issue. Survey123 Addition Calculation Treating Numericals as Text Fields https://community.esri.com/thread/203632-sum-aggregate-function-appends-values-doesnt-add-them I have a calculate field based on a conditional IF statement such that if the condition is met a value is set. Outside of the repeat I have a sum of the conditional field. But instead of summing the integers, the output is a concatenation of text despite trying to cast values as integers and binding as an esriFieldTypeInteger. if(condition),1,0) sum(FIELD) Attached is this example. e.g.Instead of the value 2, I have 10100 type name label calculation bind::esri:fieldType begin repeat Ratings select_one rating Rating Rating calculate Count_1_Star if(${Rating}=1,int(1),int(0)) esriFieldTypeInteger integer note Note ${Count_1_Star} end repeat integer Integer_Count Count sum(${Count_1_Star}) esriFieldTypeInteger

The URL scheme has been implemented for ESRI mobile apps (https://community.esri.com/groups/survey123/blog/2016/07/30/understanding-survey123s-custom-url-scheme) but leveraging the iOS SDK to launch third party and system apps would extend the functionality of Survey123. For example, I am designing a Survey123 survey for bird counts that occur within 3 minute observation intervals. Enabling the user to launch a timer at the start of a count and launch a gps logger to record tracks would be hugely useful. Is this do-able or are there complex back-end modifications that limit such free inter-app communication?

I have a strikethrough appearing in my selected options for a select_one drop-down. This happened quite suddenly but after I had made a number of small tweaks elsewhere in my template so I am not sure what has triggered it. I have had this issue occur previously with select_one options. It occurs within a group within a repeat.

Currently, in order to record tracking data I have the user launch a GPS-logger app alongside Survey123 which isn't a particularly efficient nor smooth workflow, as it requires the user not just to operate two different application interfaces but to remember to turn the logger on/off.

I have a multi-page at-sea bird survey in which an observer records the vessel and survey conditions on Page 1 before clicking to the next page and collecting bird data along a transect ('survey conditions' is parent to child 'bird observations'). Survey conditions include weather variables such as percent cloud, glare, visibility, etc. Such conditions are generally stable but can and often do change while traveling along a transect, and the user must update these as required. Prompting the user with a link to the previous page to update conditions (instead of the arrow at the bottom right which is out of the main view) would be an excellent feature.

Hello ENV Group, From what I understand, you are correct that only one geopoint question can be asked on a form, but you can have many geopoints captured within a repeat. A possible workflow: Problem 1: Capturing points and lines (represented by 1+ points): Ask a 'select_one' question to determine whether the site is a point or a line. If a point, present the geopoint question. If a line, present geopoint question within a nested repeat to collect points along the line I've attached a sample template implementing an indexing function in the calculation field identifying the point index along a transect (index starts at 0). HTH and good luck! Yuriko
