Another quick note - configuring the properties in the ArcGIS side is not always an option, as our CAD users often want to consume public layers or other layers where the symbology is set or is unable to be modified, and so needs some flexibility in the CAD side.

Hi @DanWade Just to confirm, you mean to set up the default symbology for the Feature service in the ArcGIS environment and it will flow through to the AutoCAD Model? Or are those actual separate sublayers in a hosted feature service? Another use case I recall is the following: We have a single layer Hosted Feature Service in an ArcGIS Map that is symbolised by multiple attributes. I think that if we want to replicate this in CAD we need to be able to add the layer multiple times with different definition queries to replicate the combination of attributes, and be able to replicate the symbology classes in CAD. If there is another way to do this I would love to know. Thanks, Marc

Hi @MichaelDavidsonPM Ideally we are after a straight forward approach to making slightly more sophisticated labels that is easy for the end user. Two common use cases: Road labels where the road name and the road type are stored in separate attributes Property titles where the Parcel ID and Title description are stored in different attributes Thanks, Marc

Hi @MichaelDavidsonPM Our use case was to selectively add certain zoning parcels and have them be individually addressable as web feature layers and CAD layers. This gives the end user more flexibility over turning different things on and off and changing symbology. Perhaps there is a different workflow I don't know about? Thanks, Marc

Hi there, This article discusses the ability for users to upload their own imagery to an image service: https://enterprise.arcgis.com/en/server/latest/publish-services/windows/preparing-image-services.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_B8E8839107D04A7A97BA476C85464E84 However, I cannot find any instructions on how to enable this, either through a dedicated app or a widget. Can someone please explain how to achieve this capability? Edit: I found this: https://developers.arcgis.com/rest/services-reference/enterprise/add-rasters/ Rest API operation. Is there an out of the box tool that can use it before we have to look at developing a custom workflow? Thanks, Marc

When you convert a dwg to a featureclass in ArcGIS Pro there are a few attributes that get created, such as layername, color etc. It would be good if ArcGIS for AutoCad had similar functionality. Especially when it lumps all features together into the All_Lines, All_Points All_Polygons sublayers by default. Thanks, marc

Currently it is a two step process, which is a bit annoying. When the user removes a WFL if there is an associated CAD Layer they should be prompted if they want to remove that as well. Thanks, marc

Hi there, Currently the share to ArcGIS dialog does nothing to stop the user from entering a Hosted Feature Layer with spaces. It will then fail when trying to publish the service. This should be prevented at entry time, or when the service is published this should be used for the title and the spaces should be replaced with underscores for the service name. I note that trying to use other characters such as anything above the numbers e.g. !@#$%^ is not entered into the layer name. Thanks, Marc

hi @SebastianSaballett Can you please walk through how you were able to share an Experience Builder app in that way. When I share content through ArcGIS for Teams from ArcGIS Enterprise I only have the following options: And when I share an app I get an embedded link rather than the app itself: Thanks, Marc

Hi @CarstenHogertz I'm not sure that your deployment pattern is optimal. I recommend you read some of the documentation like https://enterprise.arcgis.com/en/portal/latest/administer/windows/configure-highly-available-system.htm You have not provided much detail on your deployment. Do you have arcgis portal on each machine as well? What data stores are you referring to? Just relational? Each different type of data store has different deployment patterns and requirements.

Hi, I have noticed that SLPK files are not optimized for very dense scans. The renderers in ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise/online do not seem to know which tiles to display to get a uniform appearance. You often end up with a patchwork of very dense tiles and very sparse tiles, rather than a consistent approach. See here in ArcGIS Pro: And in the scene viewer in ArcGIS Enterprise 11.3: Please improve this so that we can use this for production visualization purposes. Thanks, Marc

Thanks for the reply @DanWade Modifying the CAD Layer is helpful, but we also need the ability to modify the name of the Web Feature Layer as well to enable users to add the same service multiple times. Cheers, Marc

Oh yup sorry I see that now. Those both work well. It would be great if you could provide a more user friendly interface for defining these queries, as CAD users may not be able to find things like the actual field names if they have aliases, which could cause confusion. Thanks for your help, Marc
