Hi Allison, I tested the app on Chrome, Internet Explorer, Edge, and Mozilla Firefox. The dialogue behavior is the same in each browser, no dialogue box opens when I click on existing features in the map. Same behavior when I access the app on my smartphone too. All feature layers are hosted in AGOL. Point features, none overlapping currently. Same dialogue box behavior at all zoom levels. The app is shared to Everyone now for you to access, although it is not ready for public use. I will remove the sharing after you have a look at it. https://cityofnewarkde.maps.arcgis.com/apps/CrowdsourceReporter/index.html?appid=03dadc02a4cd409ebf87a2937db22c95 Thanks for your help, Jay

Hi! I am back configuring/working with the Citizen Problem Reporter app again. We noticed in some testing that when we click on an existing feature on the app map, the dialogue box showing the attribute information does not open. We have to click on the feature in the list to see the associated information. The Naperville example app allows one to click on the feature, and the dialogue box opens in the upper right. I have gone over the configuration help several times, but I cannot seem to identify, for example, an option I need to click to show the dialogue box. Any help would be appreciated.

I think I know the answer, but I want to ask the question. I would like to create/add a simple custom widget to my AGOL hosted app, or make use of an existing WAB/AGOL widget, to display available parking spaces in a text string in real time. The map and app were created using the Public Parking LG Pro solution and the AGOL WAB, not the WAB Developer edition. We have figured out how to retrieve the space count from our parking vendor. Currently we are displaying the count in real time in a feature service on the web map and app (see screen shot of the app). We would like to display the count in a text string either in the opening app splash screen, or better, in an 'Information' widget that pops open on app start up (see example screen shot). I don't have much experience in using the Developer edition, so I am hoping for a way to do this in the AGOL hosted environment. Many thanks in advance for any help and ideas.

Hi all. The third party URL is REST. We are able to pull the available space data from the vendor database through their API. Then with a Python script we can now push the parking space count to our web maps and apps.

Hi Robert, I have asked the vendor as to what type of URL API access is used, I have not heard back. We are assuming it is REST based on our testing. Thanks, Jay

Hi Robert, //This version number will be appended to URL to avoid cache. //The reason we do not use wabVersion is to avoid force user to change wabVersion when they are customizing app. deployVersion = '2.7'; Thanks, Jay

Hi. We are trying to display the number of available parking lot spaces in our Local Government Public Parking web app solution (built using ArcGIS Pro; the app is configured in Web AppBuilder as part of Esri's solution). We would like to have the space count display when the app opens (as in the screen shot or similar). We have installed a space counter sign for one of our parking lots and are testing it and gathering public feedback. The parking vendor can provide the parking space count data. We can retrieve the count data through their API (they have provided the API key, etc.). Thus, we would like to add the parking space counts to our GIS public parking app (and perhaps elsewhere on our city's website). I have been able to activate the link in pop-ups or an Information widget, but one has to click on the link, which opens another page to display the count. Obviously, it would be much more convenient for the user to have the count show automatically when the app is opened, then click on a link and jump to another web page. I am hoping someone can point us in the right direction. Many thanks in advance.

Hi Robert, I don’t know the app version, how can I determine that? I was using an older version of WAB, and was receiving a ‘fail to import’ error. The error note directed me to upgrade to the most recent version (2.7) of WAB. Thank you for your help! Jay

I have installed Web AppBuilder Developer 2.7. I am working with Esri's public parking solution. The 'Import App' fails to import this application. Other applications will import. The command window (log) shows no useful information (to me) as to why the application not import. Also, if I use the 'Delete' on imported apps, does this delete them from my AGOL content? Thank you.

I contacted Esri tech support and received this reply. The issue is known and an enhancement may be available at the next AGOL release. ENH-000105798: "Time slider widget settings are not honored when selecting 'Playback position saved with map' Description of Enhancement : Customer would like to use the same configuration settings used in the time slider from the web map in a web appbuilder template. The Time slider widget settings are not honored when selecting 'Playback position saved with map' in web map. The web map is converted to a Web AppBuilder application and time slider widget is added but the playback position starts at the beginning.

Hi all. I have a municipal crime map app built using ArcGIS Pro, Online, and Web AppBuilder. The web map app includes the time slider widget. My agency would like the app to not display any crime features when the app first opens. I have fiddled with the time interval tools in Pro, and in the web map and web map app, trying to suppress the display of all crime features on the initial app opening. So instead of "scaring" the user by displaying a year's worth of crime data when the app first opens, we would like an blank basemap to open. The user would then click on the time slider widget in the app, and slide back in time to start showing the various crimes. It appears the time slider in the web map app always starts from the beginning of the data set regardless of what I set in Pro or the web map.
