Thank you Jake. So the Collector issues we are experiencing are likely not correlated with the 10.4 versions of the Server and Webadaptor, and I can upgrade when ready.

Hi, we recently upgraded our Desktop users to Desktop 10.5.0. We also upgraded the License Server Administrator to 10.5.0. As I am new to a lot of this, I was looking around and noticed our ArcGIS for Server and the WebAdaptor are still at version 10.4. In the past two weeks or so, we have been experiencing issues using Collector (latest version) on Windows 10 tablets (basemap loads, editable layers do not, and the error cites our webadaptor URL), but we cannot nail down when this may have actually started (as the tablet addition was fairly recent). However, we do not encounter these errors on iOS tablets using Collector. With my inexperience, and seeing the webadaptor URL, this has me wondering if we need to upgrade the Server and the WebAdaptor to 10.5.0. And if we do upgrade, will we have to republish all of our services? Thanks!

Hi Kylie -- Thank you for the quick reply. I believe the service published on ArcGIS for Service 10.4 is editable, (see screen capture), but I am new to publishing. The mxd was created by another author, which I opened in Desktop 10.5, and then I published this service as a test. I am the author of the web map, and I did make sure the map was shared in a group I am a member of. The map opens fine in ArcGIS Online. I still don't see the web map in Collector. We also experiencing issues with not seeing layers in Collector on Windows 10 laptops and tablets. iOS devices are not given us the same problem. I placed another question in GeoNet on that topic, but no replies. It has been quite frustrating, as we have field crews trying to collect data on tablets, and cannot. I placed another question in GeoNet on that topic, but no replies. It has been quite frustrating and going on for two weeks. I have an escalated ticket into Esri support help. I have created some new Web Maps and they are not showing in the All Maps, My Maps, or via the Groups link lists in the Collector app. We are troubleshooting some layer access issues in Collector used on Windows 10 tablets and laptops, and the test Web maps are not showing in the map lists.

Hello Esri community, Our Public Works department are using both iOS and Windows 10 tablets with the Collector app to collect field data this summer. When using the Collector app on an iOS tablet, everything works fine. We can sign onto ArcGIS Online, access the Collector app, and the map service and layers on ArcGIS for Server are available to the app. Today, we tried to use the Collector app on a Windows 10 tablet. We were able to sign-on to ArcGIS Online, open the Collector app, and see the basemap. However, when the map service and layers tried to load we received "The following layers are not accessible:" error and a list of the layers (see screen shot attached). As both Collector and Windows 10 have been out for a while, I am hoping someone can point me to the information I need to remedy this issue. Many thanks, Jay

Rebecca, Can I go from 10.4 directly to 10.5.1? Or do I upgrade to 10.5 only, until I have ArcMap 10.5.1 installed? Sorry for all the questions, but I don't want to mess something up. Thanks, Jay

Hi Rebecca, I am both a user and now a new administrator, so your reply helps a lot (though still a little muddy). Thank you for taking the time to reply. Jay

I just read a GeoNet article by Kory Kramer (good stuff, thank you) on upgrading ArcGIS License Server Administrator to 10.5.1 in preparation for the ArcGIS Pro 2.0 upgrade. I still have much to learn about license managers, servers, and alike. Perhaps a basic question, but what is the difference between the ArcGIS License Server Administrator and the ArcGIS Administrator? I upgraded our ArcMap users to 10.5 recently and can see the licensing versions 10.1-10.5 for our products and the expiration date, etc. in the ArcGIS Administrator 'availability' screen. In the ArcGIS LSA 'availability' screen, we are still at versions 10.1-10.4, but with the same expiration date as in the Administrator screen. So this suggests, they are separate but related items, and I should move ahead with upgrading LSA if I want to move to Pro 2.0 without issue? Any input and advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Hi there, I kept searching after my reply to you and quickly found Rupert's note as well. I like the Shortlist app, so I am looking forward to having the iOS issue resolved. Thanks, Jay

Hi Helen, This same issue was just brought to my attention today. I finished a Shortlist map app for an upcoming City of Newark event on Saturday, June 10th. A couple of iPhone users I work with were having the same issue you describe. I have a Samsung phone and the app works fine. I don't know how to correct for this. Thanks, Jay

I figured out a way to manage images of varying pixel size and the distortion. Using GIMP, I resized the canvas behind the logo to provide a more consistent image size and "margins" around the logo. The logos look great.

Hi, I have been building a web map app using Story Map Shortlist beta, showing improvement projects (e.g., water main replacement, handicap ramp installs) for the city I live in. I was having great success, dragging and dropping images (of a wide variety of pixel shapes and sizes) from my Windows desktop into the panel(?) under a project tab. Both the full size and thumbnail images looked great. However, when I switched to another project's images, most of which are 480w x 360t, only the thumbnail would appear, while a broken image icon would be present in the individual panel. Many of my other images, which were successfully loaded, are of the similar pixel size. I had copied these photos from a network folder, and I noticed a security block in each image's properties. So I checked the Unblock box to remove the block on each image. Tried to drag and drop, same result. The convenience of the 'drag and drop' far outweighs the use of URLs and storing the images on an accessible server. I am hoping there is a setting I need to change or some similar simple answer. Many thanks in advance. Jay

If I drag and drop files into the Builder from my desktop, instead of specifying a URL to the image hosted on an external server in the CSV file, will the app display the images for other users?
