Hmmm that is so weird! I was curious and want to make sure I'm not giving incorrect advice so I ran through a whole test case (as an AGOL Administrator within my organization). Here were my exact steps: Create a group called "test shared editing" and checked "All Items" under "What items in the group can its members update?" Invited a user to the group who has a type "Creator" with a "Publisher" role. Created a web map with my admin account and added an editable feature layer to it. Used an incognito window to log in as the other user that was invited to the group and found the web map that had been created by the admin. Made changes to features both by editing the pop up and also changing symbology of the feature and creating labels. Both "Save" and "Save As" were available as options. I clicked "Save". Refreshed the page while being logged in as the administrator and confirmed that the changes to the web map had been saved. So, I wonder what could be causing the issue for you? What user type and role does "kmsagis" have? That's really the only variable I can see here that might affect things.... Or, as you said, it's just Friday ;D

Kevin, When you mention being able to save a map, do you mean with an organizational account? If so, I believe you can create a group with shared editing privileges, so other people besides the owners or administrators can save the web map. When you create a group, make sure to check "All Items" under "What items in the group can its members update?" That way, if a map is shared with that group, other people should be able to edit and save it. (they would have to be members of that group though) Hope that helps.

Hmmm...the link I sent did reference using offline maps in Survey123 (Use offline basemaps—Survey123 for ArcGIS | ArcGIS ) but still not sure if this fits your exact needs. Sorry I couldn't be more help...good luck!

Is there a reason that the point needs to be recorded in Collector first? When you start a survey record in Survey123, it automatically records the location data. You can also include a geopoint question in the survey in order to capture even more accurate location data. Geopoints—Survey123 for ArcGIS | ArcGIS Another possible solution (if I'm understanding your question correctly) is that you can integrate Collector and Survey123 by linking directly to the survey within the feature pop-up. When they click on the link in the pop-up in Collector, the linked survey will open automatically as long as they have it downloaded on their device. We host our services through ArcGIS Online so I'm not sure if the situation would be different, but I've always experienced the same thing: when in edit mode, the symbology reverts back to the original symbology of when the layer was published, rather than keeping the symbology that was set in ArcGIS Online. I just figured that was standard behavior in ArcGIS Online when editing... However, if there is a way to prevent this from happening it would be good to know!

Hello, I created a web map which has an editable feature layer in it for our staff to use for offline data collection in the field. On multiple devices, we have been able to successfully download an offline map area in Collector Classic, but not the new Collector app. Since it seems this isn’t an issue with the map being offline capable, any other ideas why this might be happening? I did not receive any other error message other than a generic “download failed”. Thanks! Edit/Update: I have received a lot of helpful insight on this topic, and in my particular case, I believe the error was caused by having a copied layer in the web map. I was able to determine this by using the Developer Logging feature described below. Greg, I am still very new to writing python, but I wonder if the issue is that you didn't instantiate a class instance. Maybe these links could help you. Hope that helps or at least points you towards the right direction! As someone who's still learning, I'd appreciate if you could share the code snippet once you get it to work so I can see what fixes it

The help page for configuring pop-ups touches on this briefly, but it does state: "Optionally enter the URL to an image stored on an external website, in ArcGIS Online, or as an attachment within the layer's data. PNG, JPEG, and GIF images are supported. If the image is stored as an item in ArcGIS Online, you must enter the URL copied from the URL field on the item page, which is only available if the image item is shared with the public." So, unfortunately that still doesn't offer a solution when the images need to be only visible within the organization. I did uncheck the "refresh interval" box under the pop-up image configuration, but after I save and refresh the page, it appears to be checked again.

Hmm, I just double checked - the box was checked but it said to refresh the image "every 0 minutes" so I guess I overlooked that, assuming it wouldn't affect it. Worth a shot, maybe it will work now. Thanks!

Based on people's responses it sounds like it could be a more widespread issue with ArcGIS Online, but I will say that the workflow you followed to get the image in the popup is the exact same one that I followed. As I mentioned before, It worked like a charm for a week or two, but after that the images appeared as broken links. When I checked the URL for the image I had in the field I created and compared it to the URL I got when I copied the image location again, they were different, which explains why the links appeared broken. These were all images that could not be shared via a public image host service due to restrictions mandated by the client, so I could not get a URL for the images that way. If someone else has a solution for this I'd love to know!

Hmmm, according the the ArcGIS Online Health Dashboard, everything seems to be running fine. ArcGIS Online Health Dashboard Where are the images stored that you are linking to? I had an issue that I ran into a couple of weeks ago where I was linking to my own attachments so they would show up as thumbnails in the popups, but after a week or two the tokens refreshed and the links didn't work anymore. Are you able to share your storymap? That might help with troubleshooting.

Thank you for the quick reply, Adrian! I've used domains before in order to have drop down options in a pop-up, but never thought to use it to re-code and calculate a new field. Learning something new every day. Anyway, it worked great for my situation. Just added the domains with the appropriate label (soil description) and code (value from "musym"), and when I calculated the new field to be equal to the "musym" field, it displayed with the domain label. Again, thank you!

Hello, I have published a feature service hosted in ArcGIS Online that has a field ("musym") with soil symbol codes. (i.e. 11A, 13B, 23C). In a PDF, I have the key for this data. (i.e. 11A = "Leaksville silt loam"). What I want to do is either change the data in this field, or create a new field that will fill in with the correct "translation" so it can be read and understood by people in the field. I'm sure something like this can be done with either SQL or Arcade, but I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out how. I am most familiar with Python syntax, so switching between all of these languages has me a bit mixed up. I was trying to do something along the lines of this (keep in mind, I'm sure the syntax isn't right, I'm just trying to illustrate the logic). if $feature.musym == '11A' $feature.musym = 'Leaksville silt loam' else if $feature.musym == '13B' $feature.musym = 'Mayodan fine sandy loam' else if..... etc Ultimately I want to be able to symbolize based on this information and display the soil type in a pop up. Does anyone have any ideas of how to approach this? I'm very new to writing code (in any language) so any ideas are appreciated. Thanks!
