Thanks so much for your input on this topic, it does appear to be working with version 10.4. I haven't gotten all the bugs out of the Adopta App I deployed but don't think they are related to Server Version.

I noticed the instructions show 10.4 when installing ArcREST, but not sure that the upgrade to 10.4.1 would change that.

ArcGIS 10.4, ArcServer 10.4, Federated Portal 10.4, SQL Server 2014 Geodatabase All these errors give the message Packaging Succeeded, but publishing failed. Yesterday I was getting 001488, and eventually solved the problem by creating a new MXD and copying the layers into it, I was able to publish. This morning I noticed one layer in an already published service wasn't drawing in the web map I added it to. I tried to re-publish the Service and got Errors 001487 & 001369, same error message I was getting yesterday with the other number. I tried a number of things again including creating a new MXD. Nothing worked until I removed the server account privileges from a particular Dataset and then gave the same privileges back to it again. I was then able to re-publish the service. So my question is what could cause a layer in a service to quit drawing, finally requiring the action I took to remove privileges and reinstate them? Is it possible that if I had renamed one of the Feature layers in the Dataset after initially publishing, this it what it took to fix it?

I am getting this error after using the popup menu to import multiple feature classes into an SQL geodatabase dataset from a file geodatabase. I have to close ArcCatalog and then the problem is gone until I import something else. ArcGIS for server 10.4, SQL 2014, on Windows Server 2012 R2

Ok Thanks Andrew, perhaps this is the sort of error I might get if the password of the Server account was changed and we hadn't run the configure arcgis server account utility.

Does anyone know if it makes a difference if you are using a local or domain account for acgis server? Are you trying to register the database with an OS account?

I have used the GNSS Status Utility with firmware 5.03 to apply NMEA setting to the R1 so that I can connect to it through bluetooth directly from Collector. It seems to be working well and I'm getting 20" accuracy without GNSS Status Utility app installed on the tablet. I can see all the NMEA data when I tap the symbol at the lower right of the screen. I have added the relevant fields into the FGDB feature class table before sharing the hosted service to ArcGIS Portal. The feature class is copied to the managed database in that process. So even though I can see the data in Collector while viewing the map, it is not being stored in the feature class when I collect a point.

I believe collector will work with the R1 from Trimble if you've upgraded to the latest firmware so you can apply NMEA settings to the R1 using the GNSS Status Utility before connecting it with Collector. I just did that and got down to 20in accuracy with SBAS. The GNSS Status Utility isn't even installed on the Windows 10 Tablet I was using.

We are using a web adaptor and https only, but knowing the port number isn't the issue. If I use the port number 6443 for the admin URL when federating, the analysis isn't available after setting the hosting server.

If I use an admin URL with the port number while federating, I don't see analysis show up after setting the hosting server. I must set the web adapter to allow admin access so that I can federate using the URL without the port number. Is something wrong or do you have to have a web adapter with admin access enabled to use analysis with a hosting server?

I've been using an MXD to publish maps for Arc Reader users on our network for some time. The Map document contains features from a file geodatabase and includes relationships to tables that have attachments. The PMF's have always worked, giving the users access to the attachments. Yesterday, I created a data package from the pmf to deploy to tablet computers some users now have. It worked well except the new PMF created during packaging didn't have the attachments available. I looked in the file geodatabase created for the package and the attachments were there, just not available when the PMF was opened. It seems to me this is a bug in the packaging software, but didn't actually try to recreate the problem. As a work around, I created a new MXD using the set data source tool and setting the data source to the package file geodatabase located in the same folder structure as it would be when deployed onto the tablets. I made sure to set that MXD to store relative paths and saved it into the PMF folder created during packaging from publisher. I then published a new PMF from that MXD. I was able to copy that PMF onto the tablet computers along the data folders and attachments are now available to tablet users when they are offline.

Thanks so much for the info. I'm thinking I need to find the proper version for download. It was more of a Warning about the digital signature than error.....but I misstated that.

I haven't used the addin yet, but was about to when I noticed an error with the digital signature, curious if you might have seen this error when you were installing it. Also, I notice your version is 10.1 and thought I saw somewhere that the first version for XRAY was 10.2. I'm on 10.3 and wondered if that might be an issue too?
