Unfortunately it's not a bug, but an intentional change like the original post indicates!

I jumped from 3.1 to 3.5, it worked in 3.1 for sure. The new 3.5 version greatly reduces the usefulness of the tool. I had to run the same script on a machine that still has Arcmap in order to get it to work on existing data. Nothing short of a ridiculous change!

Yes, but also states it won't work on a DS with an existing feature class.

Update ongoing issue with dump files. Windows Server 2019 Datacenter Intel Xeon 3.6 GHZ with 64 GB RAM Hyper V UEFI V4.1 Still getting dmp files from OpenSearch even after an upgrade to Enterprise 11.5 IT has a script to periodically delete the files so they don't fill the drive. Have had many conversations with ESRI support, including at the last User Conference. No fix and no noticeable performance issues. Dozens of Services, maps, and apps published and working fine. Since the upgrade to 11.5 from 11.1 we've had to change to an Object Store to replace the Tile Cache in our datastore. Server, Portal, and Datastore all on the same machine. ESRI recommends against installing the relational and Object Stores on the same machine, I'm aware of that but did it anyway, and frankly have only two hosted services published and none in the object store. In addition to the existing OpenSearch issue: New dump files have now started to appear that are related to the newly installed Object Store, appearing in the following folder C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\DataStore\framework\etc\scripts Some 16GB in 4 files seem to appear at each event, not sure what triggers it, days between events. Arcgis Server logs show this corresponding event: WARNING Oct 12, 2025, 8:54:04 PM The object store services on all the nodes of this object store will be restarted. Data Store WARNING Oct 12, 2025, 8:54:04 PM ArcGIS Data Store is attempting recovery. Data Store Attaching the log file that accompanies the dmp file

@DucksInaRiver You could try creating line features for the traverse manually fixing the misclose issue then tracing to a polygon FC. I've just accepted some degree of error and try to keep it internal to particular parcels so that adjoining property lines are the same.

Field Maps version 25.1.0 on Android ( IOS seems to work fine ) It recently came to my attention that none of my users with an android phone can skip login then search for public maps using the Field Maps app. It seems that either entering certain words or scrolling through results when partial search terms are entered results in a login required popup. This is before you've ever selected a map to open. Just scrolling down in the list or still entering search words. Strange as it sounds, this occurs mostly with some of the words required to find our maps. I can enter certain words and then scroll the results like normal. I can't seem to enter "information", "Utility", "Land", "Dickinson", or any combination of such words. Any Ideas our there Is this a bug?? One thing we have found is that we can use certain words if typed in fast enough or in a different order. We are thinking there is some map other then ours, coming into the search results either by typing or scrolling and causing field maps to ask for a login just because its in the results.

I just had a call with ESRI regarding new user types and migration. It is my understanding that the new Professional Plus user type will include 9 extensions with Pro Advanced. The maintenance/subscription cost does go up a bit. https://www.esri.com/en-us/arcgis/products/arcgis-enterprise/pricing#%E2%80%8F%E2%80%8F%E2%80%8E-%E2%80%8Eincluded-apps

I'm thinking the issue here is that the parcel fabric and associated tools could eventually become an addon license. ESRI doesn't see benefit including the functionality we're all suggesting here. We are simply looking for a way to edit the length and direction of existing line features, which is what the load from sketch offered in ArcMap. Although OCR for deeds might be useful in some cases, it won't eliminate the need for this functionality. I think to most of us it's really a totally separate issue from the parcel fabric. I use COGO entries for features that wouldn't ever be included in a fabric, with descriptions that come from all kinds of documentation. I'm just sorry it's a low priority. I started using Pro for as many things as possible 5 years ago. It is a much improved application overall, but the attitude toward many suggestions seems to be that we should adapt to how you think we should do the tasks we have. I can remember talking to developers from ESRI several years ago regarding replicas and getting the same kind of response, why use them at all, do it this way. At one point, Pro had the ability to create replicas in a different coordinate system then the parent data, but didn't have that environment setting for the sync tool, ha! My point is that it is complicated software used by lots of different people for lots of different tasks. User feedback has been integral to ESRI software development and widespread adoption of the many changes over the years, almost 30 for me.

I would mention if using "with arcpy.EnvManager" in python scripts many of the tools that may not have the environment setting available or even say they honor it, do actually honor it. For example, FeatureClasstoGeodatabase and I believe ExportFeatures. Perhaps this is true by setting the env variable individually as well?

One way you can get domains into another DB is to copy existing FC's that use the domain. The Export Features doesn't maintain domains, but copy does.

I just discovered yesterday, that having the arcgis online geocode utility enabled on my portal caused every searchable public map to ask for login when people tried to use the search. After disabling it, things went back to the way they were. Maybe that will help someone! I am have a similar issue in fieldmaps today, when I skip login and go to the maps list, after entering the second character in a search I'm prompted for a login! People were able to search public maps without logging into a portal before??

I'm using Windows, Enterprise 11.1 and publishing from Pro 3.1. I setup the popups in Pro and publish a map image layer service. If I add the service to a map and save it in Mapviewer Classic, the popups are there and function as anticipated. If I add the layer to map in Mapviewer (the new one) and save it, the popups are all or partly disabled and I have to manually go into each layer and enable them. Sometimes not all the expressions survive. Seems like a bug to me! BTW, I can open that saved map from Classic in the new Mapviewer and have the popups work there too.

Ok, just met with my account rep and got promising explanations from them for those licenses included with enterprise and desktop. First, the VIEWER licenses will still be available for those with enterprise at no additional cost. There may be plans to cap them at some point, even then some may be grandfathered in is my takeaway. Pro licenses derived from Desktop permanent license types will not be immediately affected by this change, however they might roll into the new license types by the end of 2025. The will be quoting only the new license types after 6/24. If you bought additional licenses mobile worker and Creator, that weren't derived from your enterprise license, they will roll into the new types with and upgrade to 11.4. This is my best recollection of the explanations I was given and hopefully relayed correctly! I'm less concerned then when I first read the email, but do let me know if you've heard something different!
