Hi Wesley, No I didn't get anywhere with this. I might try switching to the Portal forum instead or raising as a support call with ESRI. Gareth

Was there a resolution to this bug at all? Using Ops Dashboard in ArcGIS Enterprise 10.6 I'm running into a related issue. I have both a heat map and point layer version of a dataset in my map and have some date selectors. The point layer is included in a list control on the dashboard and this updates correctly as I apply date selectors. However the heat map stays showing the results from the previous recordset until I pan or zoom the map, at which point it correctly updates the heat map too. It does refresh correctly without the need for a map pan if I use the None option in the selector (effectively resetting all the records).

Don't know if you've seen the note on this page of the documentation? https://doc.arcgis.com/en/operations-dashboard/help/selectors.htm Note: The amount of vertical space selectors occupy on a panel can differ depending on how they are configured. Some selector configurations are not possible on the header because it has a fixed height. If you can't configure a selector a particular way on a dashboard's header, try adding the selector to the left panel or choosing a different selector configuration.

I'm not sure if this is new at 10.6 and above or we just didn't manage to find the setting in 10.5.1 but we found a way to turn off this content using the Portal Admin Directory. yourportalname/webadaptor/portaladmin/system/languages/update You'll find the option to uncheck all the other languages that you don't want to appear in content searches.

We're running ArcGIS Enterprise 10.6 with Portal, Data Store and hosting server all on separate machines. I've published a hosted feature service from ArcMap containing two empty point layers, both with attachments enabled. The content page for the item in Portal reports the size as 55kb (which it probably was when I published it) and if I use the python api to report the size using gis.content.get(itemid).size then it reports 56560 (which I assume is in bytes). However this layer has had a lot of records inserted into it recently using Collector, including multiple photos as attachments for each layer. If I export the service to a file geodatabase then the reported size of that item is over 750mb, which is a truer reflection of the size of my feature service. I get that the data is actually hidden away in the Data Store but is there a way to force Portal to properly report on the true size of the layer as stored? Either using the Python API or Rest admin interface? I'd like to get to a point where I can script a report on the whole Portal to show the top items that account for space in the Data Store. Thanks Gareth

This functionality was available in the old operations dashboard so would be good to see it in the new version. This thread also seems to highlight the same issue, but don't know if an idea got created https://community.esri.com/message/769540-re-how-to-get-the-top-n-results-in-a-chart?commentID=769540#comment-769540

Hi Heather, Thanks for the very speedy response! Yes it looks like installing Navigator enables the option for directions on features now. Look forward to seeing the Google Maps option implemented. Thanks Gareth

Hi Sarah, Did you ever get a resolution on the missing Direction functionality in Android? I'm experiencing the same issue with a web map that has routing enabled. When I click on a feature in it on iOS I get the directions options, but the same map and feature in Android only has the compass and favourite options. Thanks Gareth

We really like using the Story Map Series template for situations where we've got a lot of data layers to show but want to break them up into manageable groups to make it easier for a user to understand. So we put different groups of layers in a web map for each tab e.g. environmental, partnerships, transport etc and because they can be synched then we get a nice experience for browsing through the data - certainly preferable to scrolling through a long list of layers in a table of contents. What would make this even better would be if there was some way to pass across an extent that we'd like the first map tab to zoom to in the same way that you can for a Web App Builder app (https://doc.arcgis.com/en/web-appbuilder/manage-apps/app-url-parameters.htm), either by passing coordinates of an extent or specifying a map feature to zoom to. I know that ESRI have just released the ability to use main stage actions within the Series template but this would require us populating a list of every single feature in our map layer that we might want to zoom to (400 records in this case) and still relies on the user clicking on the correct one. If it could be passed to the app via the URL instead (obviously relies on the entry specified being a map tab) then we could very easily link to it from our content management system where there is a page of details per map feature. I guess this might be achievable if we download and customise the template but would be great if it was done out of the box.

Hi Hilary, Thanks for your response. Ideally we'd want to completely stop them from creating any apps at all but the other option of allowing them to create but not share would be ok. The authoritative button could be useful in the future too. Regards Gareth

Apparently this is only available to US customers. We have to raise a ticket with our distributor to recover a lost licence.
