Thanks, Owen. After some back and forth with our social media people we discovered that they have a bit more control over our organisational Facebook page than we do over our individual ones. So they were able to edit the title and text to suit them. Your technique will be useful for when others in the office want to share via their personal accounts, so thanks!

Replying to original post so that I can mark it as answered: I came across this on StackOverflow: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/14676613/how-to-import-google-web-font-in-css-file Here is the CSS that finally got me the result: @import url(https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Open+Sans+Condensed:300);
#title {
font-family : 'Open Sans Condensed', sans-serif;
} I think that one key thing to mention, that is covered in that StackOverflow discussion, is that the @import line needs to sit in the top line of your CSS.

I am adding custom CSS to the Basic Template application, and want to use a webfont for some of the text. Is this possible with the custom CSS tool? I have played around with the @font-face rule in the CSS, thinking that this might provide a workaround, but to no avail. I feel that there is something that I am not quite grasping, as I am new to CSS and HTML. Here was what I used: @font-face {
font-family: 'Open Sans Condensed', sans-serif;
src: url(https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Open+Sans+Condensed:300);
}
#title {
font-family : 'Open Sans Condensed', sans-serif !important;
} From what I can understand after some googling, it seems that webfonts may only be able to be imported in the HTML of a page, and then utilised with CSS. Is this correct? EDIT: SOLVED! I came across this on StackOverflow: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/14676613/how-to-import-google-web-font-in-css-file Here is the CSS that finally got me the result: @import url(https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Open+Sans+Condensed:300);

Thanks, Gregory! That worked perfectly. I would appreciate it if you could submit the enhancement request regarding the title text.

This doesn't appear to have been fixed yet. I am in a situation where I cannot host the application (Story Map Journal) on our organisation's servers due to IT restrictions, so hosting with Esri is our only option. I assume that this means I cannot make any changes to the OG tags in the HTML? Our marketing people are reluctant (with good reason) to share a link on our Facebook pages that looks like this: So I am left in a situation where some hard work from our team will likely not get the exposure that we need it to. Is there any indication as to when this might be addressed? Regards James.

When I post a link to one of our Story Map Journals on Facebook I am getting a less than ideal preview. Here is an example: The title and text are not very good for promotional purposes. The HTML snippet looks especially terrible. I am sure that Facebook used to allow the user to edit these before you posted, but that feature appears to have disappeared. We would like to promote this via our organisation's Facebook page, but I am certain that the marketing folk will not get on board if it looks like this. Is there anything I can do with an Esri hosted Story Map to ensure that the title and text are more "share friendly"?

Thanks, Kelly. I am still working through my changes, but will be happy to share with you once I am done. I am teaching myself CSS as I go, and am finding it mostly straight forward, but I will no doubt have a few more questions to post up here before I am done.

I have been adding some custom CSS to the Basic Template application to try and bring the design more in line with our organisation's branding. I have been mostly successful, but am having trouble changing anything relating to the search button. Currently it still has a grey colour by default, which changes to white on hover. I want to change those colours. I managed to make changes to the colour and hover colour for the search input bar, but this has stumped me. What class or id should I be looking for? Any suggestions would be great.

I have just had this same problem. I just lost an entire days worth of data collection, as well as all my downloaded maps. I have not had this issue with previous updates. I am curious to know what the response is from the Esri staff.

I am also interested in whether this will be possible in the future. The operational managers that are using my Collector in the field have expressed disappointment at not being able to use continuous collection since I have added their related tables.

I have just run in to this problem today. Also with the un-editable layer requiring credentials. It is very frustrating.

I have just tried to use continuous collection on one of my projects and have discovered that it is not working. The Continuous collection panel does not appear immediately (or at all) after having collected a feature. I did some testing , with other projects and other login profiles, and discovered that the problem is unique to this particular project. It has worked in previous iterations of this same project earlier in my testing phase. As far as I was aware the continuous collection was no more than a setting at the app level. Is there potentially something that I could have done while building the map or data-set to prevent continuous collection? I am using Collector 10.3.1 on iOS. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi Russ - I was wondering how your team is getting on with adding this functionality to the app? Is it expected in the next release?
