Russell, I created a ticket with Esri yesterday and I've been corresponding with them today. Not sure where this will go or how long it will take but I will certainly revisit this posting to acknowledge any issues identified and resolutions. Thanks again for all your help

Todd, try this. Right click on the address locator, select properties, and expand the Geoprocessing Options. There is a field within those options for Minimum Match Score. You can modify the field to 100 to only except 100 percent matches. In the screen shot mine is currently set to 80. Hope this is helpful and good luck

I don't believe there is an area scale feature within ArcMap. If I had to do it I would probably create a custom feature class (polygon) and digitize the area (size) which you wish to represent. For instance three or four adjacent squares of varying size, 1 square foot, 5 square foot, 10 square foot or acres, square mile, whichever you are interested in displaying. Then you can add that polygon to ArcMap document as a New Data Frame. Add the New Data Frame to your Layout which has the existing map, place it somewhere in your title block, and most importantly ensure the scale is identical to your actual map. Then add your text to represent the area sizes. Long process but it would work. Hope this helps, and good luck

Russell, thanks again for your continued support. I think I will post a ticket with Esri so I can share more information and get to the root of the problem. In the mean time here is my current status. I believe I have everything set up as you mentioned above but I do not have credentials stored with either of the services. My ArcGIS Server Security Settings use Windows Domain for User and Role Store and Web for Authentication Tier and Mode. I do not see the option to store credentials with the services. My URL's are both the ArcGIS Web API REST Connection for each service, as in the below example. Geocoding URL http://ags-mobile/arcgis/rest/services/Mobile/USA_Apache/GeocodeServer/ Routing URL http://ags-mobile/arcgis/rest/services/Mobile/RouteServiceAoi/NAServer/Route/

Lori, you may have already identified this but I believe you need to upgrade your geodatabase/SDE to 10.2 in order to enable the sync capability when hosting the layer as an editable feature service.

Robert, it could be a couple of things. One simple thing that would cause the publishing to fail is if the server did not have the storage capacity for whatever you are trying to publish. This has happened to me with very large datasets. Another thing is the Server URL, have you published before to this ArcGIS Server connection? I know you mentioned Portal but Server is usually the GIS Server connection with Portal being where content is shared, managed, and viewed? If this is a new ArcGIS Server connection check the Server URL in the Connection Properties, if it has the port in the URL, try dropping the port, saving the connection then republishing. Example with port http://houexap95:6080/arcgis/admin Example without port http://houexap95/arcgis/admin

Russell, thank you for the suggestions and I certainly thought it would solve my problem because after checking the ArcGIS Server Sharing settings I wasn't logged in to Portal. I logged in to ArcGIS Server, added our corporate ArcGIS Online URL (http://apache.maps.arcgis.com/) to the Portal URL and signed in. I then navigated to the services and updated the sharing properties (shared to Organization). I signed out of Collector/back in and tested geocoding and routing, both still return the same results. Looking in to it further I wonder if it has anything to do with our ArcGIS Server Security Settings? We are currently set to: Users and roles from an existing enterprise system (LDAP or Windows Domain)

Okay, I solved this one with the help of Russell Roberts. My ArcGIS Server wasn't signed in to Portal (Services - Sharing - Portal Settings) and afterwards I was able to share the geoprocessing service with my ArcGIS Online Organization or Groups etc. Now the output is accessible by ArcGIS Online and the geoprocessing tools runs without issue. Thanks Russell and others

A published a routing and geocoding service on our ArcGIS Server (10.2), added it to my content on ArcGIS Online, and successfully utilized the routing and geocoding services in a web app. I'm now trying to use those services in Collector. I modified my organizations Utility Services to point at the routing and geocoding service (added my locator above the Esri World Geocoder). Now when I try to geocode with Collector I get "no results found" and when I select a feature and get "Direction to here" it returns the following error: "Unable to determine a route to the destination. AGSCredential Required" I'm interpreting that as an ArcGIS Server Credential is missing? I even tested this while on my company WiFi and VPN into our network. Is there some additional setting on ArcGIS Server that I need to apply or change so that Collector can consume the service? Thanks in advance for your time and help.

The URL for the geoprocessing service as hosted on ArcGIS Server is: http://ags-mobile/arcgis/rest/services/Mobile/Test2Buffer/GPServer/Buffer The Widget is consuming the ArcGIS Server geoprocessing service "Test2Buffer" and the output error is the following message: http://apache.maps.arcgis.com/sharing/proxy?http://ags-mobile/arcgis/rest/services/Mobile/Test2Buffer/GPServer/Buffer/execute The "/execute" isn't in the geoprocessing service URL or widget, it only displays in the error/unable to load message. Any ideas?

Yuan, I'm utilizing Collector as well but I do not have the same configuration as you (not using Portal) so I can't provide direct advise at the moment but you may want to check out this discussion, similar questions which may give you additional insight. Hope this helps and good luck

Anyone have trouble adding the output from an ArcGIS Server Geoprocessing Service to an ArcGIS Online Web Map? I published the buffer tool as a Geoprocessing Service on our local ArcGIS Server (10.2). I can run the geoprocessing service in ArcMap locally and the output is added to the map. I added the Geoprocessing Service to My Content in ArcGIS Online, opened a Web App in Edit mode (Web App Builder), added a new Geoprocessing widget and directed the widget to the buffer geoprocessing service. I configured the input/output and it looks fine but I receive the below error message when I run the tool. Any help is appreciated. Error Message: Unable to load http://apache.maps.arcgis.com/sharing/proxy?http://ags-mobile/arcgis/rest/services/Mobile/Test2Buffer/GPServer/Buffer/execute status: 400

I second Joe's suggestion. Add imagery as a basemap to ArcMap, add the landuse map to be georeferenced, and use the Add Control Points tool on the georeferencing toolbar. After all of you control points are added and the landuse map is relatively where you would like it to be run the Rectify tool to output a new georeferenced landuse map with a defined coordinate system.

Shannon, no I'm sorry, I'm not aware of template that allows for concealing features from the Layer List. I was hoping to be more helpful. Sounds like hosting it locally is your best bet unless someone else has a solution. Good luck.

Hi Alex, not exactly sure if there is one particular element of your workflow that you would like feedback on or the entire thing? If you are trying to solve the issue of accidentally deleting a multi-part line then I might suggest adding two steps to your workflow (below). 1) Split the line in two places: at the start and at the end of where I need to redigitize the line 2) Select the line segment that is to be deleted 3) Exploded multipart (Advanced Editing Toolbar) 4) Reselect the line segment(s) to be deleted 5) Delete this line segment 6) Redigitize the line segment with the more accurate alignment 7) Merge the redigitized portion with the portions of the original line(s) that were not redigitized If you are more interested in preparing your data for routing then one step would be creating and maintaining intersections. You could use XTools Create Intersections for this step. With intersections created you could add more processing steps like Unsplit Lines (merges lines with coincident endpoints), Integrate (ensures lines are snapped within defined tolerance), and Split Line by Point (split lines by your intersection points to recreate your line segments between intersections) to ensure your lines are clean, snapped, and ready for a network to be built. Good luck and hope this is helpful.
