Still looking into this one but something we noticed for the section where its not showing up looks like quick capture and field maps were used and collecting points on the same track for the same user. One thing to note the track viewer generates the line using the points while Map Viewer is leveraging the service to to show the track line from the line layer. When I check the service the lines shown in MV are the ones for that layer on the service. Something we are looking at if the double app + account maybe caused an issue with the line generation.

Popups are not stored on the service but at the layer item level or the web map level depending on what you are sharing from Pro. So using the URL to the REST endpoint will contain no popup info. If you had that service in pro and shared a web map to ArcGIS Online the web map would contain the popup info that Map Viewer and other apps would use.

There is currently not possible in Map Viewer. It is on our roadmap to support this behavior. For now if you have access to Pro you can open the web map and copy the original layer and on the new layer you will see Paste Properties where you can apply the symbology. For the filter you could take the SQL of the first layer and paste it into the second layers definition expression sql editor.

One thing to try is to try rebuilding spatial indexes if you have tried that and it is still showing up try using the repair geometry tool in Pro. You can export the layer or have the original feature class can you run the repair geometry and pick repair geometry using OGC validation method and try publishing the layer again?

We have filter support when you filter out the unique values in the filter expression the legend will honor that expression and not display the filtered out values. There is currently no dynamic filtering based on a class value.

We are currently working on filling out the summary description for these symbol galleries to give an easier higher level understanding as we bring them into living atlas. For some of those galleries that are picture markers coming from ArcMap based styles we currently do not have plans to migrate those over at this time but that can be converted to a Pro desktop style and published to your org if you do want to use that workflow. For using the image by URL workflow we currently do not have plans to support this. One of the primary issues we saw with that workflow was many servers hosting the images were not correctly configured and would not work with our newer SDK based apps like Map Viewer, Scene Viewer and other newer web apps where we use WebGL to render these images and the hosting servers would not allow the retrieval of these images and cause nothing to draw on the map. https://developers.arcgis.com/javascript/latest/cors/

Saving sketch as an item is on our roadmap for 2026 similar to the MVC and map notes saving. For symbol galleries we have a number of galleries available that can be added to Map Viewer directly through symbol styler in the layer styling experience and in the sketch panel. These can also be added to your own org symbol gallery if you wanted to customize the default gallery option similar to building a custom basemap gallery for your organization. There are currently 35 symbol galleries available which you can check out here: https://www.arcgis.com/home/group.html?sortField=modified&sortOrder=desc&id=3ff4a2ef0d3f41c986025e63828268ea#content If there is a gallery missing that you would like us to review feel free to let us know. Thanks!

I am no able to reproduce this with some of the gif icons I have available. Are you able to share the gif you are using? In Map Viewer we store the uploaded images in the browser cache and then store the image in the web. The symbols in the map are then no longer dependent on the image always being available hosted elsewhere or having the hosting server correctly configured where we would see a number of CORS errors when trying to retrieve the hosted image. You can also use this gifs in pro and publish them as picture marker symbols in a web style and Map Viewer can use them from those symbol galleries and will also do a similar storage model where the final symbol is not dependent on the source web style always being available.

Hey @MelissaBrooks If you shared the web style publicly and someone added it to their org symbol galleries and or added it in Map Viewer through an adhoc workflow where they used some symbols and then you removed the web style (unshared it or deleted it) the symbols will remain in the map as we do not have any dependencies on the web style symbols once they are applied to a feature styling in a web map or layer item. You can publish a new web style from Pro with the same naming to the same account where the original exists and overwrite the web style and users who have that web style in their symbol gallery will see the updates without requiring any action to update. The symbols used in maps/layer items will remain unchanged if those symbols were removed/updated in the overwritten web style and that's when users of the web style would need to go to the symbol gallery and pick the updated symbol to apply it to that feature. Hope this helps Russ

We dont have this exact set but you can create your own symbol galleries in Map Viewer a couple of ways 1) Publishing a web style from a desktop style in ArcGIS Pro: https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/arcgis-online/mapping/use-published-2d-symbols-in-arcgis-online 2) Add each image in Map Viewers symbol styler: https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/arcgis-online/mapping/upload-images-to-style-point-symbols-in-map-viewer

If you can setup your own basemap gallery within your organization (defining a group to populate the basemap gallery) you can save off this configuration and share it to the group that will contain all the maps you want as basemaps.

This is because in the basemap the gray oceans(HG_Detail) are in the reference layers. When a layer is in the reference layers of the basemap it will appear on top of all the content. If you move that layer down to base layers you will see it appear like the gray canvas

I am not seeing this issue on the latest version of chrome using the web map and WAB app you provided. That error above makes it look like the services are either timing out or no longer accessible while the app is loading. If you are able to look at network or console logs while loading these maps and apps and catch any errors can help us see what the issue could be. I'll keep spot checking to see if I get any loading errors still.
