@JeffMertzXcel then it isn't really upgrading, it's installing another instance that you would need to uninstall the older one. Or am I missing something?

Yes, but even as was noted in the Plenary at the UC was the acknowledgement that they still had gaps in functionality and were not in parity. We still are not hearing where things are in parity.

It would be good to see a break-down of the still missing WAB functionality compared to EXB, and the plan to still bring them into parity. New functionality is good and all; but when you are deprecating a external product and forcing the customers to another and they can't replace it fully this is a hard pill to swallow.

Recent security scans of ArcGIS Portal and ArcGIS Server raised security concerns around use of these values being assigned in cookies to protect and validate their use. "HTTPOnly" - Cookies without the "HTTPOnly" attribute are permitted to be accessed via JavaScript. Cross-site scripting attacks can steal cookies which could lead to user impersonation or compromise of the application account. "secure" - Cookies with the "secure" attribute are only permitted to be sent via HTTPS. Cookies sent via HTTP expose an unsuspecting user to sniffing attacks that could lead to user impersonation or compromise of the application account.

When entering various forms/fields in the REST endpoints via other ArcGIS Server or ArcGIS Portal the ability to store for autocomplete values is flagged as a serious potential compromise. If the browser is used in a shared computing environment where more than one person may use the browser then "autocomplete" values may be submitted by an unauthorized user.

Security scans of externally hosted Portal instances raise red-flags about this around the urls and pages for the portalhelp/en/portal/11.3/use/use-raster-functions-to-customize-raster-analysis.htm and all other documentation pages. Reverse Tabnabbing is an attack where the target page is replaced by phishing site. This is possible when target="_blank" is in use with rel="noopener" or rel="noreferrer" attacker can use JavaScript window.opener and inject malicious domain in it. When user clicks on html link they will get redirected to phishing or unintentional website. WAS detects this vulnerability during crawling and evaluates HTML links embedded in anchor tags.

Start by going to your connected servers; AGS/HOSTING etc and do the various local validations there. Ensuring that your databases/datasources are connecting and valid, checking the logs for alerts.

Does this support doing in-place upgrades for machines also? I have a 2023.1 implementation that we need to upgrade.

With the amount of flexibility that is available in creating the built-in emails in a workflow the ability to to create a better layout is a must. The mixture of HTML formatting, Arcade Expressions, and plain-text in such a small control area is a major hinderance. Basic HTML authoring tools in JS are plenty accessible to be easily integrated; so to tap into that codebase and extend it to allow to insertion of Arcade formatted properties from the steps in a workflow should be a no-brainer.

I like very much your structure; this matches mine quite well. I would suggest you think about the number of services you plan to be using across your various AGS instances keeping in mind each SOC takes up a standard chunk of RAM for Isolated Pool services, and using Shared Pool has a performance hit. I would take into consideration if you have any large processing that could put a bigger load on any one set of services; such as large geocoding processing or analysis services that you would potentially want to have that load run on a seperate AGS to not impact the load on your day to day transactional users of your internal or external mapping services.

This is usually where Data-Interoperability Extension, or straight up Safe FME Form and/or Flow come into play. Data Pipelines is just a bundle of functionality for ETL that looks pretty in the the cloud.

Do you have the option set in your AGS machine machine in the "Site" area to "Allow data to be copied to the site when publishing services." under the settings button? If you make sure this is unchecked; it should avoid the publishing process from creating a cached/feature-table.

Do you have the DB registered as a DataSource in your ArcGIS Server? If you don't when the script is published it will snapshot the table.

I have my team using Xeons over i7 chips; for the fact that architecturally the Xeon is designed to be a "Enterprise" class CPU with more error-handling and management built into the core. Now if you are not building and running large multi-threaded Geoprocessing tasks then likely the i9/i7 will do great for you as these are multi-core and matched to a good GPU will do even seriously taxing work without major hiccups. If you are building and running processes that will run for 24 hours or more that can't be reasonably done server-side; then Xeon is the solid choice. For me; it's been about long-term stability across the platform. This is based on my professional experience doing State scale data for a State Agency for 16 years; so opinions will vary based on their individual experiences.
