Wow! Mad props, Johannes! I feel like you wrote that code in the same amount of time it took me to write the original post! Just tested and it works as expected. I'll be adding it to our company tool list. THANKS!

Creating bookmarks for many features is time consuming and very repetitive. A spatial map series will not work for the web map workflows I want the bookmarks for (many ArcGIS apps rely on bookmarks). This should work with features of points, lines or polygons. The tool would follow the workflow: 1) Select a single feature in a feature class 2) Zoom to and center on that feature 3) Create a bookmark on that extent This tool would iterate through the feature class (honoring any definition queries), creating a bookmark for each record. The bookmark could be named after an attribute in the current record from a defined field, or just an incrementing number. Optionally, this process could select multiple records with a matching value in a defined field and zoom to the extent of the matching features to create the bookmark.

My inspectors would like to use a signature image file they have created beforehand to add to submitted forms instead of creating a fat-finger scribble in the field (these signatures will be included on reports that go to our clients and we'd like them to look "professional"). Is there a way for me to pre-load the signatures of our inspectors to the media folder and have the inspector choose their signature to attach to the form? One step more would be automatically populating the signature_image field with the correct file once the inspector has selected their name and clicked "attach signature".

@Andrew-Bowne I just spent some time troubleshooting bringing orthorectified satellite imagery into Civil 3D (not from SiteScan, but the principal is the same). The main thing we found is that we couldn't use 32-bit floating point rasters. I had to use the Copy Raster Tools to convert the raster to an unsigned (positive values only) 8-bit tiff. 16-bit may work, but we knew 8-bit worked and just went for that. FYI: CAD can choke on large tiffs, so we usually use GeoExpress to compress the file to MrSID. 32-bit floating is also not supported for creating generation 3 MrSID files; you are forced to use Gen 2 or 4 which don't work in Autodesk C3D. This is just what we found from some experimenting; if you find more thorough documentation from Autodesk (good luck!), I would default to that.

We are a consulting firm that is trying to add drone services to our list of offerings. Software prices have been increasing across the board, and our CFO would like us to start capturing these costs instead of just adding to our overhead. This means that we would like to only pay for software when we need it for project work, which for drone work will not be very often at the beginning. If ESRI offered a short term subscription to SiteScan, like many of their competitors offer, we would be much more likely to use this software as we could capture the cost in our project fee. I would think a month would be about optimal, and then possibly a quarterly and annual subscription price break compared to the monthly cost.

Now that DJI is on the US Department of Defense blacklist, we cannot use their drones. While the Astro Freefly is an excellent drone, it is out of the price range for most teams getting starting who were previously considering a DJI product. Please add support for more "pro-sumer" level drones in ArcGIS Site Scan. One such drone that seems capable and affordable is the Parrot ANAFI AI, although I am open to other makes and models that get the job done. We don't require a fully USA manufactured drone or a model on the BLUE UAS list. We are a private AEC consulting firm that gives many of our utility clients cybersecurity support, and have decided that using drones that have been flagged as a cybersecurity risk is a non-option.

PS: I believe we would require the "Enterprise" firmware/software update for this drone in order to angle the gimbal 90 degrees for nadir imagery capture, and to force each image to be geotagged with GPS coordinates.

I can confirm this use case. We don't always need precise inspection photos or map grade products; we often get requests for video "fly-throughs" that are repeatable over time. For instance, a recent project we are scoping would fly video over a system of weirs every time there was a rain event to compare the water flow over time. We don't need still photos or 3D, just video in this case. But we want the flight path to be repeatable.

This is an absolute must for my work. We are assisting many utilities that are migrating databases, integrating with new asset management systems, and considering migrating to the utility network. I use it even when just setting up a new database for field work. Besides the functionality of X-Ray, please include the visualization. A picture is worth a thousand words! Please give ArcGIS Pro users a way to display the hierarchy view of the databases they are designing so they can convey the information to non-GIS people.

YES! I am currently developing a Dashboard for use by a number of stakeholder agencies. The first thing they will do is filter the map, serial charts, pie charts and table by their agency name, using the filters I have added to the Dashboard Header (not using individual filters in each element). They will filter on Fiscal Year and some other variables using the filters in the header. I want the titles or descriptions of the charts and tables to reflect their filtered selection. This will give my users more confidence that the numbers they are looking at reflect their selection set. It would be even better if this "dynamic title" could be used to name the downloaded excel file the user can generate from the filtered charts and tables.

I came back here to ask if this is correct; DroneDeploy just announced support for the Mavic 3E and DJI's site shows the Mavic 3E supports their PSDK, MSDK and Cloud API. @NicoBonnafoux should this Idea's status be updated from CLOSED to Under Consideration?

Please at least add legend functionality to vector tiles! My use case: my firm is transitioning to Pro. We create several static figures for reports based on the same map template, with additional features or filtered datasets displayed on top. In Pro, we have to create a new map for each layout, so that changes to the map don't affect our other layouts in the project. In order to allow efficient updates of the basemap template, I am publishing the base layers as a single service or group of services (minus any imagery; that stays static). That way, we can overwrite the service if there is an update needed across all of our figures, instead of updating the web map manually for each of our layouts. Vector tiles should be a better way to do this, but without the option to add them to our legends, we can't use them. I have to publish feature services (slow) or map images (large) instead. I also can't anticipate all of the zoom levels that might be needed for the map image service, so some figure's base layers will appear pixelated. FYI: we don't need feature level capabilities for these layers in this workflow (no queries, tables or pop-ups).

This sounds like a good work around. Can you confirm your workflow? -You publish the populated layer as a vector tile, -create a separate layer using the same symbology but pointing to an empty dataset (or maybe just set a definition query that removes all the data) -and publish that image service at a single zoom level (the reference scale set for the symbols/labels)? -Then you can use that image layer to generate the legend without slowing down performance?
