Hey Robert, I tried implementing this but it's not working. Is this snippet supposed to replace the existing 'onMenuClick' code or go after it? Existing last line: this.own(p(this.operationsDropMenu, "onMenuClick", m.hitch(this, this._onOperationsMenuItemClick))) Thanks! Warren

Hello Carlos Can you provide some further details on where and how this was implemented? Thanks so much, Warren

Hey Robert, Yes, it is a custom coordinate system for a local mine grid. It's based on a NAD27 datum and the Clarke 1866 spheroid with adjusted false eastings and northings, etc... We have a GP function that allows the user to enter a local coordinate and return the location on the map (web mercator), but I'd like to do the reverse now where the user could pick a point on the map and have the local coordinates returned. I'm sure I could create another GP tool to do this, but I hoping to use something like the eLocate or Coordinate widgets. Warren

Thanks Robert. I must be missing something though because how do add an output CS to the OTB Coordinate widget without a WKID? I assumed this would need to be done in code somewhere to pass it the PROJCS definition. Warren

Hi Robert, Thanks for all your work on these widgets! I'm looking to implement a tool to allow a user to select a point (pick a location, not a physical 'point' object) on a map and have it return the coordinates from a custom/local coordinate system. I was planning to do this as GP service, and I was wondering if that service could somehow be 'plugged in' to Inspector component of the Enhanced Locate widget, or if there is another/better/easier way to accomplish this? Thanks! Warren M

Thanks Jayanta, but unfortunately that doesn't appear to be working as expected, as I only had the required fields in the Output Fields selected, and it still exports this OID field...

Hello all, I'm trying to export tables with only the columns that are visible, and the numeric formatting assigned to those columns. It doesn't seem to matter which export method chosen (Table View>Export>Copy Rows GP, Table To Table, etc), they all seem to export all of the fields and do not honor the numeric column formatting? I simply want to generate an X,Y,Z file without any other columns... Am I missing something very obvious here?!?! Warren

Hello all, I'm just interrogating some statistics for a few services on an ArcGIS Server 10.3 instance and I've noticed something. I have a series of services that are currently stopped, but yet the statistics chart is showing activity for Total Requests. This would tell me that someone/something is continuing to try to hit these services. Is that correct? Warren

Thanks for the confirmation Robert, and yes, the config.json file exponentially smaller once all of the base64 encoding is replaced with the file locations... from over 2mb to to just over 100kb!

Hello all, I wanted to inquire about the efficiency of base64 encoding of images in the web appbuilder config.json file. I can definitely see the advantage of encoding the image in the json file in some deployment scenarios, but I'm questioning the use of it when the app is running on our own servers/infrastructure. IOW, is using the base64 encoding of images in my config.json file going to be more efficient, or perform better, than simply referencing the local image files? Thanks, Warren M

Thanks for the additional info Randy, Abdullah. I believe my scenario is a little different, and should be even simpler. I simply want to create a relationship class between a feature class in my geodatabase, and a 'data table' residing in a different database. This is a 1:M relationship so doing a straight join is not what is required. I'm not really sure what I'm doing wrong, but I have NEVER had any success getting ArcGIS to recognize SQL Server Views for a relationship class. It doesn't seem to matter if it is a regular view, or materialized/indexed view, the 'Register with Geodatabase' is always grayed out. I will be attempting the replication method here shortly.

Thanks for the quick response Jake. That's not what I was hoping to here, but at least I know it's not supported. In the end, I would like to be publishing this data so relationship classes will be required. I'm curious then, what is the workflow for large organizations when they want to consume existing attribute data tables that reside in corporate databases where there is no way the database would be allowed to be 'geodb enabled'? I can't be the only one who has wanted to attempt this sort of configuration? Am I missing something, or some other way to do this? Warren

Can non 'geodatabase enabled' db tables be related to a different geodatabase where the spatial features reside? IOW, I have an existing/established database with applications built around this db (Database A), and I would like to now relate this data to some spatial objects in another geodatabase (Database B). I'm not sure if I want to 'geodatabase enable' Database A and would prefer to create the spatial objects in Database B and establish the relate back to Database A. Is this a supported workflow? Suggestions/ideas greatly appreciated. Warren
