Hi, It would be useful if you could configure the query widget to allow end users to create their own custom queries. Similar to the way you can set this up for the filter widget. I'd like the option to have the expression builder interface displayed by default. Thanks

Hi, It would be great if you could configure the filter widget to display the interface for building a custom query by default. For my use case, I don't want to present canned filters. I just want the end user to build their own query, but its a bit hidden from them and not user friendly. Here is how it opens now: I'd like it to open more like this, so that end users can see how to proceed and have fewer clicks required to create the expression: Thanks

Hi. I'm noticing a small bug (I think) with the WAB filter widget. I have the widget set up with a couple filters and it works fine, but references to fields are using the field name rather than the field alias. See screenshots below. I believe that if features in a map service have fields with aliases setup, those should be respected in WAB widgets. I also tried configuring an alias in the popup "configure attributes" settings of the web map. No luck. So, this idea applies to the filter widget, but there may be other widgets with similar issue. I think it would make sense to respect field aliases in any user interface that end users will encounter, across the platform. #

Ok, that's what I figured. Weird though. I assume esri would understand that database field names are not meant to be presented in the UI.

Nice. Definitely should be added to layer list widget. Other ideas to implement this are: 1) show description when user hovers on layer 2) Display an icon, like the little blue i or a ?. When clicked or hovered, show the description.

In case of multiple attachments, there should be an interface to tab through them. Similar to how it works if you have several charts in the popup.

I'm noticing an odd quirk when using the 4x Calcite maps sample, search widget. It is initially collapsed - when you expand it, there is no problem - enter search term, and hit the search icon to execute the search, and all good. The widget collapses. On next use though, when you expand, if the search term had not been cleared after previous use, it will automatically zoom back to that address or search result. Not a great user experience, I would think. The user probably wants to enter a new search term at this point. Not seeing a way to disable this. Anyone know if there is an easy way to deal with it? And for esri, is this a bug or by design? Here is the sample - ArcGIS API for JavaScript Sandbox Thanks

Thanks for the idea Biraja, I had already tried that with no luck. The data changes frequently, so I initially was using a query layer. As a test, I exported it to a feature class and tried using that. The bug was still present. I have found a solution for this. I found that the popup class has an outFields property. When I added the fields there, it started working properly. Not sure if this is intended behavior or a bug. It seems a bit weird, as I would expect that specifying outfields as part of the feature layer would be enough. My popup object now looks like this: var popupTemplate = { // autocasts as new PopupTemplate()
title: '<strong>{ProjectName}<strong>',
outFields: app.popupFields,
overwriteActions: true, //prevent default actions from showing
actions: [this.customZoomAction],
..... Thanks

Denis, ESRI classified this as a bug. The reference number is #BUG-000120919. No idea if and when it will be fixed though.
