It seems that if I chance the locator name to something user friendly like "Address Search" then coordinate searches do not work, but address and place name searches still work. If I change the locator name back to "ArcGIS World Geocoding Service", then both coordinate searches and address/place name searches work. The reason for changing the name of the locator is so that the locator name that appears in the drop down section of the search box is less cryptic for non-GIS users.

I am having challenges accomplishing zone lookups using lat/long coordinates. Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not work. Creating a zone lookup with default settings and default locator, it seems to work. But as I add additional layers and configurations in addition to arcgis world geocoder service, coordinate searches like "-93.60911 41.60054" stop working, even though street addresses and commonplace searches still work. I have not been able to pin down exactly what settings cause coordinate searches to not work. Are there any known issues with coordinate searches, and/or any specific configurations or workarounds to make those work? Thanks! JB

Zone lookup selects the zone and displays it, but is also filtering the zone layer - turning off all other zones in the map. A common workflow for a user is to pan and zoom around the map, and then click on the map to see zone information at that location. Often when the user clicks on a spot and the map zooms to the extent of the zone at that location and highlights it and displays the zone info, the user wants to then click somewhere else, such as right outside the highlighted zone to see the adjacent zone information. As near as I can see, currently the user can't do that as the first zone selection filters the zone layer so no other zones appear in the map, i.e., there are no other zones to click on. The user has to click the clear search location button first in order to be able to then click on a different zone. While that is easy enough to do, feedback I am getting is that the extra step and click is not intuitive for the user, especially non-GIS professional users. I want to use zone lookup for a community of 20,000+ non-GIS users, so want to make it as simple as possible. Is it possible to configure zone lookup to accomplish this? Thanks! JB

When I use the search widget with arcgis world geocoder and "show on map" and "zoom to" actions configured in EXB for ArcGIS online, I can type in an address, a point is added to the map at the address location, and the map zooms to the location. If I then hit the clear button on the search widget, the address point icon does not disappear. If I type in a different address to search for, the map finds the location and zooms to it, but no point is shown on the map at the new location. I must be missing something simple. Has anyone gotten this to work properly, and if so do you have any tips? Thanks! JB

I too am seeking a solution for this. A most basic common task is to search for address using the world geocoder, the map zooms to the location and adds a marker to the map, and automatically displays a popup showing attributes from layers in the map at that location. Using the search tool built into the map adds a marker to the map and zooms to the location, but then the user has to close the callout that appears on the map, and then has to click on the map at the location to get the popup. That is a lot more steps for the user than what they did previously in a WAB app I am migrating, and customers are not accepting it. As a result I will have no choice but to modify the existing search widget, with EXB developer, but that code is nearly completely undocumented so its hard to know where to even start! If someone has come across this already and has a custom widget or pointers for modifying the search widget code it would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the tip, but not working for me, I must be missing something. I had already set redirect URL and was getting the little tiny dialog "please sign in to ArGIS Online OK/Cancel". Selecting OK would bring up the standard ArcGIS Online login (but not my orgs login). Switching the redirect URI as above (with edits for my app location and build number) results in the same tiny dialog prompting to please log into ArcGIS Online, but selecting OK then just returns 400 error with invalid redirect URI.

Yes - pleased add to search widget - a common task is to search for an address using the world geocoder, map zooms to the location and puts a marker on the map, and then automatically a popup opens showing information map layers about that location.

I have created an experience with custom widgets using EXB developer edition. I have deployed the experience to a web server, registered the app in my AGOL org and everything basically works. Some oddities are; #1 - When the web app loads in the browser, they first get a small dialog box that says "please sign into ArcGIS online - ok or cancel. " If they click ok they get the sign in page. But this is a strange end user experience, as the user just expects the sign in page straight away. Is there a way to bypass this little extra dialog box? #2- When the sign-in page displays, it is the generic ArcGIS Online sign in page, not the organizations sign in page. The user can select the option on signin page to type in their arcgis only org URL, but again that is a strange end user experience. Is there a way to make aways using my orgs ArcGIS Online sign in page?

Hi all - I am migrating a WAB app to EXB and have the following challenge: when using the search widget with the ArcGIS World geocoder, when the user types in and selects an address candidate I would like the map to zoom to the address location, display a marker, and then trigger a webmap popup showing attributes from a layer in the map for that location. I think this is a common task - using the world geocoder to search for an address, and then showing some information in a popup about that location based on other layers in the map. With EXB for arcgis online, I can get the map to zoom to the address location and show a marker in the map, but I can't find any actions to trigger to show a webmap popup at that location. The user has to close the address search and manually click on the map to get the popup. Am I missing something in EXB for online that would enable this? If not, I can use EXB developer and modify a copy of the search widget, but looking for pointers if anyone has already done that for search, as this seems like a common workflow. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

We also need this, as we also have an EXB app with sensitive data in public safety, law enforcement, and health/life safety areas.

Would love to see URL parameters for zooming to and selecting a specific feature with popup or no popup. With no popup, but feature selected, highlighted, and zoomed to is important for use case of using experience builder to create a report. A popup dialog box does not look good on a report.

Hi there - I have added a point cloud .LAS to ArcGIS Pro and note that it has no projection or coordinate system specified, it displays around 0,0 on the map, and measuring distances such as buildings appears correct. What is method in ArcGIS Pro to properly georeference the point cloud? For example I can pick out a corner of a building in the LAS file, and corresponding building corner in georeferenced aerial imagery, but can't find the right tool in Pro to move the .LAS layer. Thanks! JB

I followed the ArcGIS Pro instructions - installed ArcGIS Pro 2.8, added my sites, facilities, levels, and units layers the map, clicked on map properties and there is no indoor layers tab as described in the documentation. Maybe that requires an ArcGIS Indoors license? The ArcGIS JS API documentation states that the alternatively from setting these properties in ArcGIS Pro, they may be configured programmatically via the JS API. After fiddling with it for a bit I got the FloorFilter widget working by setting the layer and floor info properties manually like this: const mySiteLayerInfo = new SiteLayerInfo({ layerId: "sites_view_9488", siteIdField: "SITE_ID", nameField: "NAME", }); const myFacilityLayerInfo = new FacilityLayerInfo({ facilityIdField: "FACILITY_ID", layerId: "facilities_view_8594", nameField: "NAME", longNameField: "NAME_LONG", siteIdField: "SITE_ID", }); const myLevelLayerInfo = new LevelLayerInfo({ facilityIdField: "FACILITY_ID", layerId: "levels_view_4226", levelIdField: "LEVEL_ID", levelNumberField: "LEVEL_NUMBER", longNameField: "NAME", shortNameField: "NAME_SHORT", verticalOrderField: "VERTICAL_ORDER", floorField: "LEVEL_ID", }); const myFloorInfo = new MapFloorInfo({ siteLayer: mySiteLayerInfo, facilityLayer: myFacilityLayerInfo, levelLayer: myLevelLayerInfo, }); const webmap = new WebMap({ portalItem: { id: "1c020f2cdab3436ca7d54facf6bfab00", }, floorInfo: myFloorInfo, });

you bet - steps to reproduce: -- open the developer sample in the sandbox and observe that it works: https://developers.arcgis.com/javascript/latest/sample-code/widgets-floorfilter/ -- replace the web map ID in the developer sample in the sandbox with "60851c8a3f3d4c9ca1215d0e9c24dc25" and observe that now it does not work -- Check out the web map here: https://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=60851c8a3f3d4c9ca1215d0e9c24dc25 -- The webmap was created from Esri indoors tutorial data for Building L which appears to be the same map data used in the working developer example: Building L Interior - Overview (arcgis.com) Thanks!!
