For me publishing textured mesh from drone2map to AGOL does not work. The mesh appears perfectly on the drone2map map display, and when I click the option to share the scenelayer to my AGOL organization it appears to work. However when I try to view the scenelayer from AGOL in scene viewer it appears in the legend, and zooms to the correct location on the map, but the 3D textured mesh does not display. Assuming this is supposed to work presently, are there any tips to get it working?

I have great imagery from a dji inspire for a small site. My images that are very orthogonal to the ground produce a 3D surface in drone2map, but as you might expect zooming in the sides of buildings are not textured very well compared to roof tops. When I include drone images with a more oblique angle view to get building sides, the resulting drone2map 3D mesh is completely garbled. Is there a specific document describing optimal flight plan and orthogonal vs oblique views in order to produce optimal maps and models, or different settings in drone2map to get my images to produce a great 3D textured surface?

When I add multiple scene layers at page load, they frequently do not display properly. For example adding 2 floor plans, and a building exterior like: map.add(sceneLayer1); map.add(sceneLayer2); map.add(sceneLayer3); ... frequently textures on one or more SceneLayer do not display. If I set up timers to load the layers at different times then it works. Toggling layers off/on after the page has loaded mostly works, but is flakey and seems to depend on the order in which I turn layers on/off. Any ideas how to properly load multiple SceneLayers so that they all display properly? Thanks!

What is the best practice approach for security and the attachment editor RE validation/scanning. I do not see any response to the above question, but assume by now there is some standard approach for this. Thanks!

I can see how to add 2d symbols for points on a graphics layer using SimpleMarkerSymbol but is it possible to add 3D symbols for points on graphics layer (not feature layer) using: var symbol = new PointSymbol3D({ symbolLayers: [new ObjectSymbol3DLayer({ width: 5 //width of object in meters height: 10, //height of object in meters depth: 15, //depth in meters resource: { primitive: "cube" }, material: { color: "red" } })] });

to clarify, your example does not work for me in chrome but does work in IE. In IE I see the line and the point, but in chrome I only see the line. The point is missing.

your example link works for me. Also if I save your example to an .HTML file and host on my own web server it works - so long as I view the page in IE or Firefox. But in Chrome the point does not appear. Any ideas why that would not work for chrome?

I am following the example to add a point to a 3D map found here; https://developers.arcgis.com/javascript/beta/sample-code/3d/add-graphics/ ... and the example works great for adding a point graphic to the map in London. But I cannot change the location of the graphic that gets added. For example, I need to change the point to appear in Minnesota USA, not London. So I change the XY in the example from London to US like this: var point = new Point({ x: -94.15011, y: 45.55305, z: 1500 }), ... but the point will not appear on the 3D map. It appears on the 2D map in the right spot. The problem appears to be the Z value. The only value that seems to work is 30000, and that puts the point up in the upper atmosphere. No other value for Z will display the point. Can anyone help me understand where I am going wrong? It must be simple I am sure! Thank you!!

Today when I open ArcGIS Pro and set the basemap to openstreetmap it will not display. Yesterday and earlier this week it worked fine. Other basemaps work fine. Openstreetmap basemap works in the ArcGIS Online web viewer. Anyone else having problems with the openstreetmap basemap in pro today?

Right 🙂 ... unfortunately this does not work: WMSlayer.SetFullExtent (New ESRI.ArcGIS.Client.Geometry.Envelope(-14014336.9175627, 2078853.04659498, -8279569.89247312, 5078853.64659498)) ... but is that the correct way to set full extent for a wms layer?

Ok got it. I was providing wrong layer name. What was confusing was even if I put gibberish in there, the WMS sub layers appear properly in the TOC with visibility off. When I provide correct layer name, it appears in the map, and the TOC with visibility on, so good news. But now I have a new WMS visibility problem. The WMS extent covers a US state. When I pan the map so that state is no longer in view, then I get a blank map with text at upper right that says "no data for requested layers". Any ideas for how to work around that? This is a google maps engine WMS.

Thanks Dominique - I can add the WMS successfully, using <esri:WmsLayer Layers="layer1,layer2" .. but default visibility on the WMS sub layers is false. How do I programmatically turn on visibility for a WMS sub layer in c#?
