As you've discovered, the Data Reviewer Custom check is not a supported check type in ArcGIS Pro. In a future release, Data Reviewer is planning to expose a customization framework that supports quality control workflows. You can learn more about the Data Reviewer product roadmap here. The team has not yet determined the implementing technologies that will leverage this framework and we'd appreciate feedback on how you have used the check. Feel free to contact me at jcary@esri.com if you would like to provide your feedback. In the meantime, there are core capabilities in ArcGIS Pro for implementing customized quality assurance (Constraint Attribute rules) and quality control (Validation attribute rules) using Arcade-based Attribute Rules. You may want to evaluate this option to see if it supports your requirements. Thanks!

The Data Reviewer Team is pleased to announce the release of the updated Managing Data Reviewer Records tools and tutorial for ArcGIS Desktop 10.6+/ArcGIS Pro 2.1+. The tools are available from the Manage Data Reviewer Records (MDRR) repository on GitHub: Managing Data Reviewer Records for ArcGIS 10.6 The toolbox includes the following python-based tools: The Copy Data Reviewer Records tool takes records from one or more Reviewer sessions and copies them into another Reviewer session. The Export Data Reviewer Records to Shapefile tool exports all of the Reviewer records in a selected workspace to a single multi-point shapefile. The tools are particularly useful when consolidating or archiving Reviewer error results and/or when results need to be shared with others who do not have access to the Data Reviewer extension (or even ArcGIS). Please feel free to provide feedback, enhancement suggestions or report an issue regarding the tools in the repository.

Since Data Reviewer was mentioned, I thought I would chime-in on this discussion. Unfortunately, you are correct in that not all of Data Reviewer's checks from ArcMap can be authored using ArcGIS Pro (although Reviewer Batch Jobs created in ArcMap can be executed in ArcGIS Pro using GP-based tools - tutorial). That said, here is a link to the product roadmap that highlights plans for migrating ArcMap capabilities to Pro. A video highlighting integration of Reviewer checks into Attribute rule-based validation workflows in Pro 2.5/Enterprise 10.8 is available here. (btw: Plans for supporting Attribute validation and batch calculation rules in FGDB is on the product roadmap.) This migration will happen over a number of releases and is prioritized based on customer and Esri solution team feedback. Feel free to provide feedback on how you use Data Reviewer by participating in the customer survey. Thanks

Hi, It might be helpful to get some clarification on your workflow and Reviewer session properties? It's not clear if you are getting false-positive error results for features that do not contain non-monotonic values or if you've corrected non-monotonic features and there are still errors listed in the Reviewer Table. Thanks in advance for the clarification

Currently, there are no plans to enable creation or editing of Data Reviewer Batch Jobs in ArcGIS Pro. That said, there are authoring capabilities available for some (unfortunately not all) check types using map-based rules. Here are links to a series of quick-start tutorials that outline authoring and validation workflows using map-based rules. Long-term, the Data Reviewer team is working to bring additional checks to Attribute Rule-based workflows. For the ArcGIS Pro 2.5 and Enterprise 10.8 releases, a number of Data Reviewer checks will now support validation workflows that leverage Server's validation server capability. Soon, we'll also be publishing a Road Map (similar to what is publish for ArcGIS Pro) on GeoNet that will outline migration of automated validation capabilities to ArcGIS Pro and Enterprise.

Currently, error results displayed in the Reviewer Results pane can only be filtered by error type (doc for reference). This enables filtering of results to show only those related to feature errors, sampling (created when using the Sampling check) or metadata (created when using the Metadata check). Error management capabilities such as grouping, filtering, etc are planned for a future release. We'll be publishing a product roadmap soon that will outline estimated timelines for these and other capabilities.

The value add depends on how much your organization can invest in creating (and maintaining) custom code to replace data quality workflows currently implemented using Data Reviewer’s configurable tools. Starting with the 2.3 release, Data Reviewer’s automated checks will be migrated to support Attribute rule constraint and validation workflows. Check migration will happen over a series of releases due to the number of checks to be migrated and are prioritized based on customer frequency of use. (Note: You can influence this prioritization by participating in our customer survey!) Here are some items to consider: Implementation and maintenance costs Implementation of a Data Reviewer-based Attribute rule does not require specialized programming skills and can often be done by a subject matter expert with a good understanding of the organization’s data quality requirements. This results in lower implementation and maintenance costs when compared to custom code. (Actually, there are whole host of things to consider when implementing a system based on customized commercial off-the-shelf software (COTS). For reference, here is an Esri white paper (slightly dated) that outlines patterns in COTS-based deployments.) Functional equivalency Does Arcade support the data validation requirements that are currently implement with Data Reviewer checks? Depending on the Data Reviewer checks that are used in your system this may not be an issue. Operational efficiency Support for Data Reviewer-based validation workflows is planned for the Q1 2020 release. In testing, Data Reviewer’s validation engine significantly outperforms equivalent Arcade-based validations. This improves operational efficiency that results in lower operating costs.

Data Reviewer in ArcGIS Pro 2.3 delivers new capabilities for enhancing quality assurance when creating and editing data. One of the new quality assurance capabilities introduced at the ArcGIS Pro 2.3/ArcGIS Enterprise 10.7 release are Attribute rules. Attribute rules help to improve data quality by enabling you to automatically calculate a feature's attribute values (calculation attribute rules), reject edits which create "poor" quality data (constraint attribute rules) and identify existing features which are of "poor" quality (validation attribute rules). At the 2.3 release, many of Data Reviewer's automated checks can now be configured to validate features during editing. Watch the video below to learn more about this new capability.

You may want to consider a couple of approaches to this requirement. If you would like to retain a history of errors that have already been fixed (to support management reporting, etc), then you may want to simply filter the list of errors presented to the user in your application. The JS ReviewerResults task supports the query of errors with an optional filter to exclude those errors you don’t want to display. This task also supports creation of a layer definition that can be applied to a map service to filter the error geometries displayed in the map. If you do not need to retain the fixed errors, then you could “move” fixed errors to a different session (using Managing Data Reviewer Records sample) and then delete the session (using Delete Reviewer Session GP tool). The temporary session can be created using the Create Reviewer Session GP tool. In either scenario, you may want to use the Managing Data Reviewer Records sample to move error exceptions to a separate Reviewer session to facilitate their management.

The Data Reviewer extension's Feature on Feature check supports validation of spatial relationships between features. This check can be implemented as an attribute (constraint) rule or a map-based validation rule. That said, it does not currently take Z into consideration for Z-enabled features (although you can implement a work-around if Z is stored as an attribute value).
