I am working on setting up Quad Index of one Forest Service District on 11 x 17 and I have loaded up 3 of the Visitor Maps on my layout. The problem is the southwest part of the map is blank and I need to find something similar to it. I was thinking of getting one from BLM that might have similar to us. The Forest Service do not have it for that part of the circle I drew. I think BLM might have them similar to us. Is there a website that can I get it to download . It does not have to be with collar or No colloar. I just need it to load it and put under them with others. I don't want any from the basemap that you add from ArcGIS online. Location : South of Pubelo, Colorado and north of New Mexico . According to BLM Colorado online, the area I need the most is the Blanca Peak, Walsenberg, Alomsa and Trinidad. These are the BLM 100k. They have on the PDF but I do not want to spend my time on georeference it and I'd like them to be the most recently current basemap they have. I am willing to download them . Anybody know where to find it ? Thank you !

I need to write a script within the Fire Protection Districts layer in the Label Manager to remove the label that has all the labels for each polygon with their names like this: . Alamosa County Fire Protection District. What I would like is to remove the "Fire Protection District" because the map I am going to create is to be about the Fire Protection Districts . They do not need to duplicate twice.. So here is the example I want to display just Alamosa County only and remove the Fire Protection District How do I do that ?

Thank you everyone for your help. After I did spend some time, I do realized that it is NOT possible to do that as what others have said. I kept looking at the map above that I posted and thought that the person who did this did not use any special or anything. I believe that he just use the scanned up and created lines to match the latitude and Longitude (Shown in grey collor) and it is hard to read. I tried to use the Grid and Griducles and I realized that it is NOT possible to do that in a very limited of my time and I have to do this 36 different maps for 6 Ranger District here.

As I am going to work on my project for a few district office, I have a question for those you who have done this kind of Data Driven Pages or similar to it. Here is the original map that I am suppose to copy or make some modification to it.. Here is the example BUT when you zoom in closer here , I am trying to figure it HOW does the line goes across the tabs above, left, right and bottom of the layout ? These lines are actually Quad index lines that can go through the Grid and Griducles margin to match the quad index lines ? Has anyone ever done this in the past ? When I set them up to try and match exactly as it is and I do not see the line that can match the tabs . See here .. I just wanted to see if anyone has done similar to it in the past.

Yes, this is correct number 4326 since if you open up ArcMap and then hit the Layers then Coordinate System tab....Find it in the Geographic Coordinate System -----> World ---> WGS_1984 Here is the screenshot.

Hello, As I am preparing to gathering a lot of shapefiles that I am going to have to export them to my geodatabase. The Geodatabase will have it's NAD_1983_UTM_Zone_13N (26913). I have a lot of them that are in GCS_WGS_1984 (4326) and some GCS_North_American_1983 (4269). My question to you all. Should I project the GCS_WGS_1984 shapefiles to GCS_North_American_1983 first and then re-project it to NAD_1983_UTM_Zone_13N ? I was thinking it is because the WGS it does not have any coordinate system and so it needs to project to GCS_North_American to get the correct coordinate system ? Or, should I just go ahead and export them to NAD_1983_UTM_Zone_13N straight to the Geodatabase which it has that projected coordinate system ?

The Layer package seem to work best when you want to preserve the layer I need to save. Actually I use the Consolidate Layer that I need to save 5 more layers with different names.

Hello, As I am setting my layers up on my ArcMap and they all have the same attribute names and numbers, I have set up the symbology for each road and use the define classes of features and label each class differently I want to set to. My question is how do I preserve the define classes of features and label each classes differently when I export to a new shapefile ? Will I need to re-do all over again ? Is there a toolbar to let me to save it and display without having to go through all over again ?

I think taking a traditional course at ESRI or at a community college where they offer ArcGIS classes. I find this way the best way to learn and you can learn from instructor than the online course. If you are familiar with the computer side such as simple basic stuff like creating a new folder, copy and paste etc.. ESRI has their online course that you can take but you have to have the software installed on your machine and if you have a trouble how to fix or need some help it is on your own and you have to figure it out yourself and things like that... That is just my opinion.

Here I have a Feature Dataset that was done in SDE. I have a point sde feature class and one of the field name that has a domain already set up. Now, when I bring that sde layer to my ArcMap and use the symbology to build the values for each feature. I do notice that the "all other values" incorrect and I realized that I need to symbology the Coded value domain that can show the descriptions for each values that shows on the attribute table ? How do I do that for ArcMap 10.3.1.
