Good question, Dan. This legend is meant for the specialists that are going through to do some cleaning up like some of the words do not make sense. So, I was trying to make them each of them breakdown, but I did not realized that 40 is too much ...You are right that they should be smaller classes about 10 of them.

Here It is a boring legend of the feature type I have for a Rangeland Improvement line layer . It is a range line by type that I need to sort out different shapes of patch lines . Is there a way around to make them more interesting patches to break them down ?

I am pretty sure a lot of you GIS Specialist out there probably are frustrated when you write a code in vbscript or python and whenever you hit the OK button and what does it do is to come out telling you "There was a failure during processing, check the Geoprocessing Results window for details". Kind of use your time ? I hope you like my idea !

Hello, May I proposal to ESRI to consider adding a button in the Table of Contents. Add the button to display the list for each layer to view which layer has a check enable or disable on them. With current latest ArcGIS version , we have to set the Reference Scale we want the scale at. Then we have to go back to the Table of Contents to open up each layer 's properties and either way we have to check on the "Scale symbols when a reference scale is set" checkbox to set it on or off.

Back in the year of 2011, I found a PDF that ESRI had a documentation about 1:24,000 Scale Map Specification. I am wondering if they have them in for 1:12,000 , 1:100,000 and 1:250,000 scales if they are still exist ? If not ESRI but can be any other company that does have the similar to it ?

Is there a way for me to display a label over the layer on the legend ? I am familiar with the legend and know how to use it. I have a road layer here and I have roads showed their road labels on the Layout but I am not sure HOW to insert the labels with the road for the legend ? Do I need to create a picture and then insert it in the legend ?

I have a quick one question for you . Is there a website that you pulled it up like what Marina showed us the list of coordinates or a few of them to the one like that of Google Translate that can detect the projection quickly ?

It sounds like you got it right but you need to add the x and y columns and make them to longitude and latitude before you can convert to shapefile.

While I agree with Darren, you might want to read before you go ahead...here is the tips about .csv files CSV, TXT, and GPX files—ArcGIS Online Help | ArcGIS Another good information for you to read ... https://brocku.ca/maplibrary/Instruction/Part_One_GPS_Data_Collection.pdf I do not remember if I was able to load the .csv to DNR Garmin and save it as a shapefile in a quick way...it has been a while I last used...but worth trying to research it. Import CSV: Data loss and rounding. <---- it talks about import .csv to DNR Garmin how to use it..

When you set up a topology to build topology rules for each polyline, or points, is there a way to get the results or summary for each Line or points Errors? For example, when you set "Must Not Overlap", "Must not intersect", "Must Not self-overlap", etc. for the line? The same way for the Point Errors, too. We know we can symbolized them by set each color in the Symbology tab. The Problem is that it does not show you the numbers of errors for each rule and they only show you the colors. The Generate Summary only shows numbers of errors for each rule. P.S. I am re-posting this again to make it more clarify. Here are the screenshots of what I am trying to display it here... When you have the topology on your ArcMap and you have it on your TOC...it show yous like this : So, does it show you how many errors are there ? So, you have to go back and look at the Summary ? Still it shows you how many errors for each rule right ? You would have to open the Topology Layer properties to be able to check it right ? It would be NICE if ESRI could add more further details for each error and for each rule and to display them in symbology on your ArcMap TOC ? That is my suggestion for Topology for ESRI to consider .
