Hello, I was just wondering if there is a more complete example of the LGIM parcel fabric available. I am in the process of adding sections and quarter quarter (1/16th) sections and I would to make sure everything is attributed appropriately. Thank You!

I created a relationship with a carnality of 1:M between Table A and Table B. Table A contains a list of septic systems, owners, septic types etc. Table B contains the inspection results fields such as pass/fail, notes, pdf links, etc for each septic system. Some systems may have one inspection result, while others may have half a dozen or more. Objective: My objective is to create a map of the septic systems that displays the most recent result for each inspection. It is my understanding that we cannot symbolize using related records. Request: Whenever a new record is added to table B, it would be useful if we could push the values for one or more of the columns back to table A. Example: 1) Table A contains septic id, owner, last inspection id 2) Table B contains the septic id, inspection id, inspection pdf link 3) A 1:M relationship is created between table A and B 4) When a new inspection record is added to table B, the inspection ID should be pushed from table B to table A. Results: Table A will contain the most recent inspection result ID. The inspection result ID then could be used in a regular join that in turn could be used to symbolize a map. The map will be symbolized based on the most recent (entered) inspection result.

Note: I should mention that what I need is very close to Dissolving using the Unsplit lines option. The unsplit lines option will only dissolve records if the two input lines have a end vertex in common. However, I need to figure out how to duplicate the "Unsplit Lines" option at the tabular level.

Hello, I would like to dissolve or merge records by the street name AND have separate records if there is an address gap. For example: Input Table: (street name, low, high) 3rd Street 100-199 3rd Street 200-299 3rd Street 300-399 3rd Street 500-599 3rd Street 600-699 5th Street 600-699 5th Street 800-899 Desired Output: 3rd Street 100-399 3rd Street 500-699 5th Street 600-699 5th Street 800-899 Currently I can use Dissolve and use add the statistics for Min of low and Max of high which will create a simple dissolve, however I would like to find where there are gaps in the address. Current (undesired results) using dissolve and statistics fields 3rd Street 100-599 5th Street 600-899 Questions: Is it possible in ArcGIS, or Excel, or anything else to dissolve records together, but only if there is no gap in an address range? please note: I will need to know how to do this within the table view as I will be comparing a spatial dataset to a non spatial dataset. Thanks

1) Folders under "My Computer" are listed as \\server\share (Drive Letter). The drive letter is not displayed if the server name and share name is long. This makes it difficult for users whom are accustom to adding data from a specific drive letter. I don't think that most users know or care about the server name or share. Please change so the add data dialog displays the drive letter first before the server name and share name. 2) The scroll bar is too narrow and hard to grab with a mouse. 3) The add data from a folder dialog displays every single drive that a computer is connected to in "My Computer" - even if the folder does not contain any GIS data. I presume this may be in response to users whom did not realize they needed to connect to a folder in ArcGIS 10.x. This effectively made it so that users went from having too few folder connections to too many folder connections. Consider allowing users to mark a folder as a favorite folder - similar to how connected folders in ArcGIS 10.x work. That way users may toggle between "favorite connections " (similar to ArcGIS 10.x) and "all connections" (similar to the current behavior) 4. I think adding data is now much more complicated than it needs to be. For example: *Is a SDE connection a "Query Layer" or is it something else? I always thought that they were seperate. However I am not sure how to add a query layer. *I am guessing we can add WMS, and WFS data by adding data from a path. Can we save these connections so we dont have to write down the URL to the services? Thanks!

Hello, Please consider adding a domain or organization configuration editor. It would be nice if we could control some of the default settings for our users for all of our users defaults for: Default connections to data sources (ArcGIS Server, folder connections, WMS, query layers) Favorite coordinate systems Default coordinate systems Default map(s) for new projects Default basemaps Default bookmarks Editing on / off - I Really don't like how editing is on by default in ArcGIS Pro! ArcGIS Online credit limits per user per month (for analysis tools that might consume credits) Thank You!

Hello, Just a couple usability issues that I noticed with ArcGIS Pro. Editing: How can I turn editing off by default across an organization? I want to KNOW if I am viewing data. Basemaps: It was not clear enough how we can create our own basemap, or use a basemap from our own ArcGIS server. Can we configure basemaps across an organization? Limiting use of ArcGIS Online Credits when using "Analysis": I am not clear as to which tools are "part of ArcGIS Desktop / Pro" vs "ArcGIS Online Tools" that could cost money to use... Could you make this distinction more clear? Can we disable AGOL tools across our organization? PS. Will pro allow us to drag and drop layers from ArcGIS Catalog ( or equivalent) into pro? Thanks!

In some situations it may be useful if ArcGIS automatically created attribute indexes in the background. Example cases where this could be useful: When a user performs an an attribute query or find several times over. Any time a definition query is used. If an attribute is used for symbology (if this would help) If an attribute is used for labeling (if this would help) Thanks

It seems like it is easy to find ArcGIS Online content such as maps and apps. However, it is difficult to find add in tools for ArcGIS Desktop. please make it easier to find actual desktop tools in ArcGIS.com. ViperPin for example is found at http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=0a41835a856d4017a01fbf834a87472c#! However if I search for "ViperPin" in arcgis.com I get no results!

It would be useful if ArcGIS Online allowed organization wide bookmarks. A county for example could include bookmarks for all of the cities and townships in the county. These bookmarks could then automatically be populated when a user creates a new map. Thanks

Dan, I apologize I should have further explained I ultimately would like to compare a street network with tabular data to a 3rd party tabular (non gis). I was able to figure out how to create similar unique names by using a combination of the full street name and the address low and address high range. In theory that should have been enough to join the two datasets together. However, I found out that the GIS layer has different range breaks than the tabular file. Since my ranges are broken differently between the tabular dataset and GIS dataset, I figure I can at least try to compare the lowest address to the highest address for each street. In GIS this can be done quite quickly by using dissolve and setting a statistics field for the min start address, and the max end address. However, in order to compare these datasets I need to also dissolve the tabular dataset by the address range. Once the tabular dataset is dissolved by range, then I should have common unique ids to compare the spatial dataset to the tabular dataset. Update: I am working with "Pivot Table" in Excel to dissolve the tabular dataset. I can do this by adding all the variables I need as rows, and changing the sum values to min of low and max of high. Pivot table is not as user friendly as I would like to be as I need to modify each rows field setting so that: Subtotals are set to None Items are shown in tabular form Repeat item labels is set to on Hopefully pivot table will allow me to at least compare the address range for each street and verify if they have the same emergency service providers.

Hello, Is there a way to dissolve tabular data by a range? It would be best if there was a way to detect gaps. Thank You! Example Original Tabular Data Street Name Low High 2nd St 100 199 2nd St 300 399 2nd St 400 599 Desired Result - Gaps in data detected Header 1 Header 2 Header 3 2nd St 100 199 2nd St 300 599 Acceptable Result Header 1 Header 2 Header 3 2nd St 100 599 More detailed Background: I am trying to compare the emergency responders between a GIS shapefile that I have and a tabular dataset. I was able to create a unique id so I could join the tabular data to the GIS data. The Unique ID is more or less: [Street]+[Address From]+[Address To]. My initial join has a match rate of about 15%. While inspecting the datasets I noticed that the Shapefile layer and Tabular dataset break down the low and high ranges differently – which is causing most of my mismatches. For example: GIS: 2 nd St 100-149 2 nd St 150-199 2 nd St 200-299 Tabular Dataset: 2 nd St 100-199 2 nd St 200-299 In theory I could either use dissolve or unsplit line to convert the GIS layer into a range such as 2 nd St 100-299. However, I need to find a way to do the same on the tabuar dataset. Question: Is there any function in ArcGIS or even another program that will dissolve tabular datasets by rangesso that I can compare the GIS layer and the tabular dataset? It would even be better if I could check for unusual gaps in the tabular dataset such as: GIS: 2 nd St 100-299, EMERGENCY ZONE 1 2 nd St 300-799, EMERGENCY ZONE 2 2 nd St 800-999, EMERGENCY ZONE 3 Tabular Dataset: 2 nd St 100-299, EMERGENCY ZONE 1 – This record will join. 2 nd St 400-499, EMERGENCY ZONE 2 - This record will not join because there is a gap. We will need to fix it. 2 nd St 700-799, EMERGENCY ZONE 2 – This record will not join because there is a gap. We will need to fix this record in the database. 2 nd St 800-999, EMERGENCY ZONE 3 – This record will join.

When building web apps, I really do not like the dependency on on arcgis.com or portal in order to build web apps. Please allow us to set up web apps internally, so that we can archive all of our projects. Example: We publish a map service to our ArcGIS Server. We open up flex builder on our server and create a map. Users access the map on our server. I am having a hard time understanding why we need to do additional work with ArcGIS.com We publish a map on to our ArcGIS Server. We publish the ArcGIS Server Map to as a map in arcgis.com again. THIS IS VERY UNFRIENDLY! I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY WE HAVE TO PUBLISH THE SAME THING TWICE. We have to hope no one deletes our service. We can "prevent users from deleting the service" but that is not the same as being able to go back to our own backup system that we have control over. We then create a Web App in arcgis.com. We then need to download the web app and manually publish the web app to our server. Why do we have to have all the silly extra steps? arcgis.com should be an service geared towards those that down own their own arcgis server. It should not be an additional requirement for those that paid for arcgis server!
