Hi, we have an open data site (not finished, only for testing: http://bkgopendata.esri-de.opendata.arcgis.com/ This dataset: http://bkgopendata.esri-de.opendata.arcgis.com/datasets/2ef27fc3cfea4f94a5c1289eb01709b1_0 --> The text for Details is from the Description in the Service itself (published via ArcMap as AGOL Hosted Feature Service), but incomplete with typing Errors,.... Editing the description in the AGOL Item Page does not help.  Open Data always uses the description in the Service. Is this intended behaviour? Perhaps the other way around is better (first description from the item page, and when empty description from service). Hi, with SP1 for Dekstop 10.1 the new World Geocoding Service from ArcGIS Online is referenced as default Locator. But how to use it? When I try to use it to Batch Geocode a table I only get a Message saying 'ArcGIS Online Subsription is....' Well, I have an Online Subscription and I'm loged in. What do I have to do beside connect to AGOL in the sign-in dialog? BTW: When I add the World Locator via a connect to the ArcGIS Server (geocode.arcgis.com) and connection with my Subscription Account I can batch geocode. Regards, Joerg ... View more

Hi, i have published a Feature Class as a Feature Service to our Organizational Account. I have edited a WebMap with this Feature Service and published a Web Application (Editor Template ). Everything working fine and as expected. Now I want to make some customization to this Template (different title,....). I downloaded the Template and hosted it on my own WebServer, IIS 7. I enabled https with a self-signed certificate for the Server and when I started the WebTemplate (https://localhost/Chrome/index.html) I got an login mask with the request to login to ArcGIS Online, but this form always told me 'wrong username/password', please see screenshot. Hi all, I can add a sublayer from a Mapservice as a FeatureService (or as queryservice delivering features) , eg to make a Dashboard. Works really nice and good. But the sublayer is generalized (via 'maxAllowableOffset') to a degree which makes it nearly impossible to use the sublayer. The resulting polygons are all triangles. Hi, the new version looks just fine. I'm testing the usage of WebMaps. My test Maps has one Basemap and MapNotes. Loading via itemid works fine. I can see the MapNotes and switch them on/off. I Have two questions: - The MapNotes are only loaded once during startup of the FlexViewer? I have to reload the FlexViewer to see changes? - I can add the Edit Widget, but changes (add/delete) to the Map Notes are only temporary. --> Is it possible to edit Map Notes in the FlexViewer at all? --> Only the owner of a WebMap can edit mapnotes. How can I sign in to ArcGIS.com in the FlexViewer? To open non-public WebMaps and perhaps authorize as owner of the webmap (if thats the reason for my MapNote editing problem) Referencing the FlexViewer in the same ArcGIS.com group as the WebMap does not help Thanks, Joerg ... Hi all, I have setup my AGS with SQL-Server/Token based security. Works just fine within the REST directory and ArcGIS Desktop. I'm having trouble using a secure service in ArcGIS.com (adding in My content) or accessing the secure service in ArcGIS.com Viewer or Explorer Online. Is it possible at all to use secure services (either Token based or HTTP basic/digest) in ArcGIS.com and these viewers? Thank you Joerg ... View more

Hi, I'm just playing around with the new Explorer Online and ArcGIS.com Viewer. I tried to open a map authored in Explorer Online in Explorer Desktop (1500). Explorer Desktop crashes immediately. This happens on two installations. I have tested a map with Map Notes and one without.
