I am pretty sure the answer to Q1 is no. Those 2 named users will be tied to the Organization you also get for free as part of you annual maintenance. The org and named usersw are a bundle deal and can't be separated.

Are there any tools to help analyze ArcGIS Collector's performance on an Android Tablet (Asus ZenPad Z10)? I am seeing slower then expected performance and would like to find the cause. Is it the data or the hardware. arcgis for collector #android

Brandon, Survey123 collects and stores it information in a Feature class that has an attribute table with the rows and columns you need. These columns are created by structure of your form and a new row is added for each survey completed. I do not believe you can expose the table directly in Survey123 but you should be able to configure the a survey with the required question to produce the required data on the backend. An alternate solution if you absolutely need a gridded layout for data entry would be to collect the data on the mobile device in a spread sheet or database and then join or relate the table to your spatial data after the fact. I would like to see a tool that validates a webmap for use in collector. In theory it would check the webmap for resources that are not compatible with the Collector App and report back to the user the resource and reason it isn't compatible. Ideally this could be used to validate webmaps for a variety of applications booth current and future.

At my previous employer we deployed iPad Airs and iPad Air2s in the field with work crews. Devices were equipped with Otter Boxes and unlimited cellular data plans. All of the data accessed was in the form of Hosted services or Esri base maps. The units and capabilities they offered were well received by the field staff. In addition to access to the information via maps, they likes having the ability to submit updates directly through the application. They also like the increase communications ability imessaging, emailing photos, and facetime over just cellular or radio communications. When out doors we found the internal GPS suitable for getting them in the neighborhood still relied on dedicated Trimble GPS gear when verifiable accuracy was required. Currently I am working on deploying Andriod based Asus ZenPad 10s with my new employer. Setup is slightly different in that we are using the collector app versus the original ArcGIS ios app. We are currently seeing some slower then expected performance but are still trying to tweak the map to maximize performance. The internal GPS is very unreliable ranging from +/- 2 to 50 ft. We also need to explore better utilization of Android's native communication tools. While it is still early I am a little disappointed with these devices. Will hold off final opinion until more testing is done.

What your talking about doing is hydraulic modeling as is usually done is a separate software package. The utility model isn't really equipped to do the complex calculations needed to determine flow in these types of situations. In fact as the conditions change (tank levels, pumps turn on/off, demand patterns) the flow direction can vary pretty dramatically in a water system. The flow directions works well with sewer systems sue to their lack of loops and one way flow design. Geometric networks for water usage is limited mostly to connectivity tracing and isolation.

Your original Data is in DD MM.ss format meaning the 1st group of numbers represent Degrees the second groups present Minutes with seconds shown as a decimal. you should convert the numbers to Decimal Degrees DD.mmss this will eliminate and spaces and prevent and translation errors. Also make sure you indicate Longitude as the X Coordinate and Latitude as the Y coordinate. Lastly check you data to make sure none of the Longitudes are W and Latitudes are S as these would require a leading '-' sign to indicate direction.

You can do it at the Feature Service level. This thread https://community.esri.com/thread/183374-disable-geometry-edits-in-collector should cover what you need.

Does anyone have any experience with using the Asus Zenpad Z10 in the field? We are considering this unit and I am looking for input on its suitability for deployment into the field with a rugged case. Particularly I am concerned about the accuracy and dependability of the GPS signal and the visibility of the screen in sunlight. Input on other factors is welcome. In past employment I have deployed iPad Air 2s in a similar setting so comparisons are welcome. tablet arcgis mobile app# #Asus

To add a field do this open ArcMap > open Attribute Table > from table options select "Add Field" this will allow you to define your field. To delete a field open ArcMap > open Attribute Table > right click on field to be deleted an choose "Delete Field" both of these actions need to be done outside of a edit session. If you need to copy data over you will want to create the new field first. If you want to reuse the field name you will need to delete the existing field first.

When you use the term "web app" do you really men web map. Collector consumes published web maps not applications. But the web map should be available as soon as published in AGOL. Possible sticking points can be how the data and map are shared. Also what type of device are you running collector on make sure you have internet connectivity and that collector is up to date. If all of this checks out try forcing a stop on the app and reopening as this might force a refresh. On thing I have seen is that on MS surfaces sometimes the app will not connect to the internet even though the tablet has connectivity. I only have one of these and don't really use it that much so I haven't spent any time looking into the reason. Chris M

While I work at a water utility we I deal with field implementations a lot. At my previous job I utilized iPad Air2s with several of Esri apps utilizing AGOL hosted solutions. At my current location we are just starting implementation of field services and will utilize Android devices. We will be using Samsung Galaxy Tabs2 or similar. The change is due to existing infrastructure not any problems with the iPad solution. I will be utilizing ArcGIS online but hope to shift away from hosted services to local ArcGIS Server services once we have completed our Database roll out. One big thing to consider in the process of choosing hardware software is how you will configure and manage the devices as this is a big departure from dealing with regular desktop server hardware software. #field workers #mobile tools
