Very useful article thanks for adding this. We are still struggling though with the inbox / sent items and pulling back photos. I was looking to implement the repeat solution, but my survey is setup with a style of theme-grid. when using a repeat on this item, the icons for camera and file appear below the grid and you can't access them sometimes. Is there anyway to adjust the grid height? This renders the survey unusable now. Any suggestions?

I am trying to use the inbox functionality, but because images are not pulled back, I cannot update my survey as this is a required field, and Survey123 thinks that this has not been completed. Is there a work around or is this a bug! Thanks for looking! I am using 3.9.120 connect and 3.9.148 survey app.

Good morning all. I am trying to amend a photo (replace with a better one) of a survey that was sent using Survey123. The user tried to do this in the sent items, but was unsuccessful in amending this (this option was not available). The inbox would not let them do this either, even though the picture was inside a repeat. I found this documentation here: Edit tables—ArcGIS Online Help | Documentation but this appears to be more generic for any attribute table. I ended up going on AGOL and finding the attachments table. copied the file name. deleted the image. added the new image with the old name. this seemed to work as it was in the correct spot, however when I went into Survey123.arcgis.com site, the image was not displayed. This leads me to believe there is some additional spot that needs updating for this to be picked up. Any suggestions on how this is done? Would also be great to add this functionality in the app itself as our surveyors normally QC their work once home that they submitted. Currently they can amend everything except photos. I have attempted to follow this guidance here in designing the survey Prepare for editing existing survey data—Survey123 for ArcGIS | Documentation So have used the bind::esri:parameters column with the following: query allowUpdates=true Do I need to add allowAdds=true to this parameter also? Thanks Jeff

Stefano Many thanks for this. I was able to publish the survey once this was added manually. Looks like this is not so seemless right now for publishing new updates! Regards Jeff

Ryan I had to do this recently also. The workaround is to add a hidden type in your repeat, calling it something like parent_object_id with a label of Parent reference (or whatever you want). Then in the calculation column, you can add the parents ID column ${object_id}. This will pull this through for all repeats. Below is a link where I found this recently. https://community.esri.com/groups/survey123/blog/2020/04/09/survey123-tricks-of-the-trade-repeats Cheers Jeff

I am attempting to republish a survey that I published recently. This is using the same version of Connect (3.9.120). I had to make a few changes, which resulted in two new fields being added: When I go to publish I get this screen, which I have seen before. Options screen: Publish survey: Once clicking on publish, the Publishing process is stuck on this screen indefinitely. I have to click on the X to close this after waiting for several hours. I have captured the process using a log file. Please let me know if you want me to upload this here. I have attempted all of the following so far: Close connect and retry. Reboot computer Removing any views (stakeholder) from AGOL. Options I cannot do: I cannot publish a new survey, as there is exisitng data in this survey currently with our surveyors collecting new data as we speak.

Some other options on this idea: Fix painful repeat navigation issues - have navigation mirror that of the pages group appearance Appearance option to view Repeats stacked in Survey123 app Be able to position the repeat navbar at the top of the repeat section Skip to desired repeat record https://community.esri.com/thread/231365-survey123-connect-easier-navigation-for-repeats Thanks Chris Shuck and Camille Beasley for suggesting other ideas related to this.

I think there are a lot of different ways this could be implemented. I suggested another way similar to an attribute table in this idea. These probably need pulling together into one thread. https://community.esri.com/ideas/17356

Well finally figured out a work around to this using conditional elements with some code that looks like this in a table: ${if invest_priority==”A”}Priority A ${/}${if invest_priority==”B”}Priority B ${/} Not perfect, but its a workaround for the time being.

Wondering if there is a way to create conditional formatting inside the feature report template based on a response. For example, if inside the survey it was recorded options of Priority A, B & C and this wanted to be displayed with Red, Amber and Green text, is there a way to use conditional formatting to do this? I know that it would be fairly easy to do in Excel, but not sure about how this would be done in Word Template (mail merge). Thanks

Xander Have looked at the link and I can test the arcade script and it works, but when I try to use this, nothing is coming up. Here is my arcade script. var aquatic_id = $feature["GlobalID"]; var aquatic_tbl = FeatureSetByName($map,"aquatic table"); var sql = "GID1 = '" + aquatic_id + "'"; var aquatics = Filter(aquatic_tbl, sql); var cnt = Count(aquatics); var result = "Species: "; if (cnt > 0) { for (var aquatic in aquatics) { result += TextFormatting.NewLine + " - " + aquatic.Type + " (" + aquatic.Number + ")"; } } else { result += TextFormatting.NewLine + " - No species present"; } return result; Just closed the map viewer and opened this back up and it now works! Fantastic!

I am trying to create a customised pop-up in AGOL for a web layer I have uploaded that has a related table (text only). Polygon table structure is: GlobalID (GUID) Area (shape_area) Length (shape_length) Related table structure GID1 (GUID) - this is the related key back to the parent polygon table Type (text) Number (short) Phase (text) Right now I can click on "show related records" in the pop-up, but ideally I would like this information to be displayed in the pop-up and not in a separate table below the map. I tried doing some simple arcade programming and got the expression result to work using this: FeatureSetByRelationshipName($feature,"native_plantin_rel_table",["Type","Number","Phase"]) But when I implement this in the popup, it does not work and only get "No information available" message in the popup Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Jeremy, thanks for your explanation on this. Just one point on the above. You say that "you can print this from Acrobat and it looks fine (no gridlines).", however, this is not what we are experiencing. When we print this...the gridlines are present on the print. We don't use Adobe Acrobat as a busines, we are using Bluebeam Revu. Thanks Jeff

Kory That is correct. I have done exactly that and read the information back into ArcGIS Pro. However, when we send this to our CAD users, the units are in inches. Which can be seen above in my screenshot from AutoCAD. The only workaround on this so far found is to use a seed file when exporting that has had this setting applied in AutoCAD. Happy to provide some sample data to show this if needed. What I would ideally like to see is on the environments tab, a setting there specifying the "INSUNITS" so that this can be set within the export process and not reliant on a seed file. Thanks Jeff
