Ben, I haven't researched this extensively, but believe that this could be related to [BUG-000115854: Add a parameter to flip text with halo in the Layout view in ArcGIS Pro.] Let's see if we can get things right-side-up. It looks like you're working with point text: I agree, I'm a bit exasperated working with this. It appears that I get a Rotation value for the Text Element as well as the Text Symbol, and that when using Point text, I can't change those two independently. If I change one, the other matches it. And when it's upside down, well... I'm stuck. Try adding your text as Rectangle text, and then note that the Text Element rotation is controlled separately from the Text Symbol rotation. Let's see what we can do.

Sorry you're seeing this, Tom. I tried with some of my own data, and (I know you hate hearing this) can't get it to behave the way you're showing here. Do you see that Yes/No lack of sticking with any dataset you work with? Is it possible to share that data for me to work with? Thanks!

Hi Eric, Was there any follow up on this? Did you end up reimaging the machine or not? Does Pro still hang on initializing? Let us know and we'll see what we can do to help. Cheers

Jade, is ArcGIS Pro still not working? Have you tried opening a case with technical support to troubleshoot the issue? It seems like that might be a more productive route to look into this.

The idea is reviewed and open. I just wanted to note quickly though that in the video (and THANK YOU for the video by the way as it makes the use case and requested functionality crystal clear!) once you have the multiple elements selected, you could Group, Lock (the group), Ungroup. I know it isn't ideal, but seems way better than locking each one individually.

Hi Andrew, by "did all of that" do you mean that you successfully went through the 3 steps above, got signed in to ArcGIS.com, assigned yourself a Pro license and are now seeing the screenshot that you posted? It looks like you're signed in with some sort of user because I see Andrew in the upper right corner. If you go to ArcGIS.com, click Sign In You should see this: Can you get there?

Brooks, is this about managing portals, or content in different portals? Or both? You mention wanting the ability to overwrite a web map. Like ArcGIS Pro - Update existing webmap ? Are there things you're looking for about managing local data directory, SDEs and servers all from a single map that aren't in ArcGIS Pro yet? If so, we'll want to see if there are other ideas specific to those things. How many portals do you manage? What kind of content management across those portals are you looking for? More details will help the development team understand the request. Thank you!

It looks like the basic difference is that ArcMap's Save A Copy saved a copy of the document but didn't switch it to the working copy. Can you copy the aprx and paste (same folder/different folder)? This can be done while the project is still open.

Hi Heather and Michael. I just checked in file gdb and SQL server and Make Layer from Selected Features works. This would probably be a good candidate to work on with technical support. Esri Support Home

Have you tried setting the classification to something other than Manual and set the number of classes. Like 5. Once you have 5 classes, switch to Manual. Does that work?

I checked with our Scene Layers team and it sounds like you can convert to a multipatch feature class then create the scene layer (currently). Direct share of revit to scene layer is planned for 2.3. I hope this helps. Cheers

Hi Ren, 1. Are you trying to create the template a store it online or save it as a file? By default, the tool will try to upload to an online account. If you switch that to 'Save template to file' it defaults to C:\Users\<username>\Documents\ArcGIS\ProjectTemplates 2. Where is the vector and raster data stored that you're packaging up and how is it referenced in the map (letter drive, UNC path?)? 3. Are you check the 'Share outside of organization' option? Depending on how the data is referenced and whether you check this option, the size of what is being packaged could vary tremendously. The Project Package help explains how data is consolidated depending on the above Project package—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop 4. If you wanted to, you could create a map package Map package—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop though since this is just to start new projects, that probably isn't necessary. If you have a project with the data that you always use already in a map, you could just open that project, Save As a new one and go from there. Though I'm interested in answers to 1, 2, and 3 to see if we can figure out what the delay is. Thanks
