I haven't tried this, but you could create a schema.ini file that defines the exact widths you want to define for each field in the csv that you're importing, and make sure that schema.ini is in the same folder as the .csv. Here's some doc: Adding an ASCII or text file table—Help | ArcGIS Desktop Here's a quick example I had sitting around in a folder: Hope this helps!

I logged this [BUG-000116714: Select by Polygon clears when panning] As a workaround, aren't you able to finish a polygon selection, then pan, then hold Shift and draw another polygon, etc.? Or set your interactive selection to Add to the current selection:

Great responses from all above, but I thought we could also add a bit more info. 1. As Robert LeClair pointed out, with a purchased license of ArcGIS Desktop, you will be able to convert the ArcGIS Pro Named User license to Single Use or Concurrent Use. You do not have that same flexibility with the Personal Use license. Also, I think it is super important to be clear on this statement: "An online connection is required to work in ArcGIS Pro" That is not true. An online connection is not required to work in ArcGIS Pro. 2. As for any information that is collected, you should read The Esri User Experience Improvement program section of Report software errors—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop which also points to FAQ: How does the Esri User Experience Improvement program work for ArcGIS Desktop? Due to your concern, I'd recommend turning that off, even though the data that the EUEI collects is unrelated to your concerns: Hope this helps!

1. You shouldn't have to hold C and click to open a pop-up. Just click. 2. With the Explore tool active, you will need to hold Ctrl down, then left-click and hold the mouse button down at the same while dragging a rectangle. Does that work?

Michael, I apologize that the issue has not been fixed yet. It looks like the first issue, at the time, was not reproducible. The issue that is open with the development team is BUG-000096686. As you've stated, because the resolution of this bug is important for you to migrate to ArcGIS Pro, you might consider escalating the bug: https://community.esri.com/groups/technical-support/blog/2016/03/28/how-to-escalate-a-defect/#more-8840

The ArcGIS Pro 2.2.3 patch is now available to download from My Esri and via the software update (if enabled). UPDATE 10-5-2018 11am Pacific: ArcGIS Pro 2.2 Patch 3 (2.2.3) is now available via the software updater. UPDATE 10-5-2018 9am Pacific: ArcGIS Pro 2.2 Patch 3 (2.2.3) is available for download from My Esri. Patch 3 removes the code released with ArcGIS Pro 2.2.2 and later identified as the cause of the problem described below in the 9-28-18 update. See Release notes for ArcGIS Pro 2.2—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop for full details. Patch 3 will be available via the software updater in your ArcGIS Pro application (if enabled) within a few hours. UPDATE 9-28-18: Esri has discovered a severe issue with an editing workflow in ArcGIS Pro 2.2 Patch 2 (2.2.2) that may incorrectly set feature attribute field values to “Null” and strongly recommends this patch be uninstalled. What is the Issue? Field values may be incorrectly set to Null when using the Attributes pane. This problem occurs when you select multiple features in the tree view of the Attributes pane, use the Tab key to navigate between cells in the data grid, and tab through a cell that displays “(Different values)”. How do I uninstall the patch? In Windows, search for “View installed updates”, which is in the Control Panel; right-click ArcGIS Pro 2.2 Patch 2 (2.2.2); and click Uninstall. If you do not have the previous patch—ArcGIS Pro 2.2 Patch 1 (2.2.1)—it can be downloaded from My Esri. When will Esri correct the issue? ArcGIS Pro 2.2 Patch 3 (2.2.3) will be available in early October, 2018, and will include a fix for this issue as well as the other software improvements included with patches 1 and 2. ArcGIS Pro 2.2 Patch 2 (2.2.2) which introduced the issue is no longer available for download. The ArcGIS Pro 2.2.2 patch is now available to download from My Esri and via the software update (if enabled). Please apply this patch to get the fixes listed in Release notes for ArcGIS Pro 2.2—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop Also, here is additional information about Minor Releases and Patches: Releases and patches—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop

Josh. If you want to continue troubleshooting this, I think it would be best to work through technical support. Your import log shows a number of errors and warnings so it will be necessary to look into the specifics of symbology on those layers. I've tried using a hatch overlay like you've described, both on a single symbol as well as unique values from ArcMap. Both work fine and my import notification is: I'm sure we can figure out what is happening, but looks like it may require some in depth troubleshooting. Cheers

Josh White Sorry that you're seeing this behavior. Like Robert, I don't see it either. Also working in Pro 2.2.1. Looks like this will require more in depth troubleshooting. Does this happen in all maps in ArcGIS Pro? In all Projects? Is the map imported from ArcMap into Pro, or was it created in Pro? Can you share a map package that demonstrates the issue? We can start there, and see if we're able to figure something out through the thread - otherwise, it might be advantageous to open a case with technical support. Cheers

Just another thought on this - knowing that it is by design to select visible features (and not select non-visible features) in 3D, it might be possible to modify symbology and visibility ranges to help you work with your specific data in 3D.

Thanks for the details. Yes, the fact that you're working in a 3D scene does make a difference. Select features interactively—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop "In a scene view (3D), features blocked by terrain or other features will not be selected." So the idea stands as reviewed. I'm not a product engineer, but it seems that there is a whole lot more that needs to be considered when selecting in 3D rather than 2D. Because you might have a scene tilted up - if I'm selecting something close to me (like a building) would I want it to select everything behind the building as well? If so, how far behind the building - 10 feet, 1 mile, 10 miles? Or just only select what I can see? I *think* that's what we're seeing (or not seeing) here. We have the idea here and it is something that the development team can look into. Thanks again for the clarifying details.
