Hi Tucker, The warning is generated because the XForm specification (which is what XLSForm is translated to) specifies that spaces should not be used- XForms/Select1 drop list - Wikibooks, open books for an open world provides a reasoning based on the use of values in calculations for urls.

Hi Thomas, My apologies - when I developed the pattern, I was intending the prefix string to be relatively short; I'm logging this as an issue.

Hi William, You would want to open a ticket with Esri technical support to debug this issue; as an example, look at the discussion that occurred in Survey123 Connect won't connect to our 10.4.1 portal (w/ SAML configured) · Issue #572 · Esri/Survey123Community · GitHu…

Hi Kurtis, The workflow of adding records to a table related to a feature class is already supported; the part we don't have support for is working with a federated service. We have a knowledge base article that describes the process of adding an existing stand-alone ArcGIS Server Service; once the service is added, an XLSForm can be generated form the service's definition (which includes all layers). The XLSForm can then be edited and configured to work with the related table only (removing other layer's fields and setting the form_id to the related table (refer to FAQ: How do I author a Survey123 for ArcGIS survey that matches a feature service? ).

Hi William, We've seen some instances where the data store was not reporting its availability correctly. We will be modifying Survey123's behavior in the future to not require the Data Store at time of Portal configuration.

Hi Vanessa, I was talking about points in a discussion on submission_url; currently Survey123 only supports submitting data to points feature classes (or tables without a shape field). This discussion was about configuring a pop-up link to open a form; that can be done against any feature class, though the data to be submitted would only be points or a table that lacks geography- the latter is often used in inspection workflows, where the location of the asset has already been captured.

Hi Beth, 1) You can't remove the circles/boxes next to the items in minimal appearance select_ones and select_multiples - they are there to help identify which value(s) are selected (this is especially important for select_multiple) 2) There isn't a function within the XLSForm spec to parse variable length strings, only based on character position (many barcode formats also are position-based) 3) There are several ways to populate a sql database. One method would be to use an ArcGIS Server service with the database and have Survey123 post to it directly - see Use Survey123 with ArcGIS Server—Survey123 for ArcGIS | ArcGIS . You could also have a migration script run to copy over the data from the hosted feature service to your database - see https://community.esri.com/groups/survey123/blog/2016/12/14/migrating-data-from-the-survey-feature-service-to-an-enterprise-geodatabase

I don't believe you can accomplish what you want to do currently. By "have only 1 question appear at a time on my survey", you want questions that have been previously answered to be visually hidden, correct? If you use relevant statements to do that, the previous answers will be removed. We are working on a pages layout for the next release that will be able to accomplish what you are wanting.

The data may not be deleted- there is a known issue with installation of new versions of Survey123 on iOS. Going to the 'Settings' page and clicking on 'Fix Database' (as documented at Quick reference—Survey123 for ArcGIS | ArcGIS ) should restore the database.

The full list of functions is listed in the Quick Reference section of the documentation. Survey123 uses the XLSForm specification definition of what the regex function does (and other functions do)- those functions are subsequently interpreted and then run in application code (what you type in the XLS file is not directly executed; this is a safety measure). In regex's case, the function is the equivelant of a regular expression test function - return true if the pattern is matched.

In that case, you could make the task list as you describe it - after the initial survey, populating a select_one with the list of the hydrants that need reinspection.

It looks like the script is being affected by a known issue with the create relationship tool (NIM082537). The tables are created, but the parent-repeat relationship isn't. Subsequent runs of the script will still copy the data over, as the tables are already present. Another workaround would be to not use the GlobalID as the relationship key- see Publish your survey—Survey123 for ArcGIS | ArcGIS for doing this; it's a option you would set at time of publishing. There is an impact on using the feature service in other applications, like Collector.
