Hi Sarah, Are you using the XY Table to Point GP tool? If so there is an issue with it at the moment. You'll need to readd the newly created feature class to the map and then you should be able to label it fine. The team will be working on resolving this. thanks, Wendy

Hi Once you've saved either the text symbol or placement to a style it will show up in the gallery. you can select it from there and it will apply to the new label class. In the image below you can see my new Wendy Stream text symbol and my new style placement style in the galleries. Hope this helps Wendy

Hi Benjamin, Going through the labeling expression to do this will slow the labeling down, as each time it goes to label it runs the expression. The preferred way will be to narrow down what is labeled using a SQL query. You can see in the screenshot below an example where there is a feature with a MyNumber value of 0 and one with a NULL value. The SQL query removes those and only the remaining features are labeled with the objectid field. If you are not familiar with writing SQL queries please click the Help button on the dialog box and it will take you to the documentation - there are many examples included that will help you out with different scenarios.

Hi David, Here’s some info on how to add logos with leader lines in ArcGIS Pro. And the answers to some questions When these images are converted to anno will they maintain their high resolution? - Yes Will that high resolution tank performance? – Images do not perform as well as you’d expect. We recommend using SVG in vector markers if at all possible. ======================================================= To create labels using your logos follow the steps below In ArcGIS Pro Add logo to style: Click View tab, Click Catalog View button Double click Styles in Catalog View Click Favorites On Styles tab, Click New Item > Point Symbol Click the newly created point symbol On Description tab provide a name, category and tags On Properties tab > Layers tab change from Shape marker to Picture marker Click the File button and browse to your logo and open Set other options like size appropriately and click Apply Info on point symbols http://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/help/mapping/symbols-and-styles/point-symbols.htm info on saving symbols to styles http://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/help/mapping/symbols-and-styles/save-symbols-in-styles.htm You will need to create a separate label class for each feature that requires a different logo Separate them out using sql queries Info on creating label classes http://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/help/mapping/text/label-classes.htm Add data to map, right click and select Labeling Properties to open Label Class pane Click the Symbol tab, select the General sub tab and expand the Callout expander Choose Point symbol from the combo box Click the point symbol combo and select more point symbols Browse to your added logo and click ok Set size and leader info appropriately Scroll up the pane and expand the Appearance expander Under Text fill symbol set the color to No color – this prevents the label from showing and only shows the logo Info on changing display of labels http://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/help/mapping/text/change-how-labels-are-displayed.htm

Hi Shawn, Please contact technical support and provide a project package with your data in the most straight forward reproducible case (one layer with a one field label). They will be able to trouble shoot for you and if it is a bug it will be submitted to my team and we can resolve it. thanks Wendy

I added some boundary labels like in your map and they worked as well, so it looks like Pro 2.5 will be able to do this for you. Unfortunately, Pro 2.4.2 has the issue. Wendy

Hi Matthew, So more like this? I think the best thing to do is to call into support and send them what you're working with. they'll be able to help when they can see all of the settings you have. thanks Wendy

Hi Matthew, I tested this at Pro 2.5 and I'm not seeing the issue you describe. Map on the left is a polygon map that has had the frame rotated on the layout - not the interior map rotated Map on the right is a rectangular map that has the frame rotated on the layout - not the interior map rotated the labels for partial features are displaying for both. for you at Pro 2.4.2 it sounds like you're just trying to force the labels over so they don't conflict with a layout element you're placing overtop of the map frame. What you can try is in the map create a polygon feature class and create a polygon that is the same shape and location as the element you're placing overtop in the layout. then make that feature invisible by giving it no colour. if you then increase the weight of it in the labeling pane it will not allow labels to place over top of it. giving the impression that they're avoiding the layout element. hope that helps, Wendy

Hi Lindsay, 1000 is still the correct number to use to block overlap. Do any of your label classes use the never remove option? curious if that's somehow forcing the label over top. thanks Wendy

Hi all, How are your weights set for the annotation in these maps? you can open the weights dialog box from the Labeling tool bar and then change the Show drop-down to show annotation and graphics Your annotation whether it is map annotation or geodatabase annotation should have a weight of high in order for labels to not overlap it. thanks Wendy

Hi Michelle, The Append Annotation tool takes multiple annotation feature classes and then combines them into an existing annotation feature class or a new annotation feature class in the geodatabase. Hi Afsi, There are a couple ways to move the text along the river. Using River placement you have the multiple curves but you can't control where along the line the label places along the feature. The label engine will choose the most appropriate spot depending on the curves. In this case you can convert the labels to annotation and then use the follow feature mode in editing to drag the annotation feature along the curve to where you want it. If you change to the Regular placement with a curved offset position - you won't have the multiple curves you'll just have one curve, but you'll have the ability to set where along the line the label should be placed.
